Great in store experience with Isobel in the Kilmarnock branch. I had a lot of anxiety coming in as I really struggle with shopping/trying things out in store due to my anxiety and overwhelm but my in store experience was second to none! Isobel popped me onto the sleep care system to find the correct firmness of mattress for me (can’t remember the actual name of it, but the mattress that decompresses so you can feel the different mattress types) before letting me try/test different brands of the firmness I liked for comfiness. Isobel was with me for nearly an hour ensuring I was choosing the correct bed/mattress for me and was an expert in her advice. When it came to purchasing the bed that I choose, Isobel ensured she had the best deal for me and made the purchase as smooth as possible! A great experience shopping in store for a new bed and mattress. Well done Isobel and the Kilmarnock’s store! Would be back in a heartbeat x

I am a former customer of Bensons for Beds and they were the only company I considered when looking for a new mattress. I have a chronic illness and disability and could not afford the new version of the mattress I already have. I spend a lot of time in bed and need something supportive. I need a replacement mattress as I am waking up with muscle spasms around my rib cage and it is exacerbating a severe back condition. So I opted for the refurbished version, having been reassured by the salesperson that it would be clean and fit for using. I purchased the mattress via the online chat function. From their website re refurbished mattresses “ All of these products have been hand tested, using our thorough 22 point quality check; any minor scuffs or damage have been repaired, they are then deep cleaned to hospital standards and sterilised using UV light, arriving to you as good as new.” So I placed the order, got the necessary credit to help me pay for the mattress and waited for my mattress to arrive. It was delivered yesterday. I opened the plastic cover to find that the handles were grubby, then when I checked the side of the mattress there was a huge stain. This mattress is filthy. I contacted customer services and they were very helpful and apologetic. I now have to wait for a week for it to be collected. The mattress has a pungent smell, but I can’t move it and have to wait for the delivery people to move it for me. I am extremely disappointed and upset and am now back to square one. I had to order online as I find it difficult to travel. How on earth was this item even sold?

Ref: Annabelle Fabric Deep Blue bedframe The sales lady was very helpful, and we were given plenty of delivery choices. Once we had decided on a bed base. Overall the choice and value were better than the two other bed shops next to the BB store. My only gripe would be the assembly and length accuracy (too long) of some of the bracing bars. Which meant undoing the sides and foot panel to get the braces in. Hence only 4 stars. As an engineer and also a skilled metal worker/welder. I would expect better from the people that make these parts. Once fully assembled, the bed base was sturdy and looked well finished. Overall we are very happy with it.
