United Kingdom | 05 April 2025My husband and I were unsure if we wanted to replace our current bed but after speaking with Georgina in store, she convinced us to buy a brand new bed and we're so glad she did. We found it quite difficult to find the right one but after telling her exactly what it was we were after in a bed, she found an amazing bed for us. Georgina went above and beyond until she was satisfied it was what we wanted. Without her I don't think we would have bought one if I'm honest, as I say, we weren't totally convinced we needed one, but so glad for her help so thanks Georgina.

United Kingdom | 04 April 2025In purchasing a brand new Tempur mattress, pillows and protector our total experience was as follows: In store. We visited Bensons at the Team Valley, Gateshead store and had excellent service. We were served by Jan, who took the time to listen to our requirements and concerns and answered all our questions. We were given all the time we wanted to browse and try the different mattresses. We left the store to think about the details and there was no pressure to make a hasty decision. Having decided the discounts offered were good and having looked elsewhere we returned to the store and went ahead with the deposit. Kept informed. We were told delivery would be around four weeks, given a provisional delivery date and this was confirmed by email within a few days. Delivery The date given at the outset for delivery was confirmed and a couple of days prior to that a two hour time slot was allocated. You can't request your own slot, but that didn't create any problems as far as we were concerned. A telephone call from Bensons on the day prior, confirmed delivery was as scheduled. On the day itself, the tracking facility was excellent. We were told we were drop 20 of 20 and where the driver was and how many drops he had completed. A phone call was made by the driver slightly ahead of schedule to tell us he would be with us in thirty minutes. The two guys arrived (Steve and his mate) unboxed the Super king mattress in the van, walked the route to the room it was going to, removed the old mattress for recycling and brought the new one in. They treated our home with respect, handled the bulky mattress with care, didn't damage anything and finally took the cellophane wrapping off once it was in situ. They were a credit to Bensons, cheerful, and customer focused. The total experience was hassle free and we are delighted with our purchases. Our thanks to all concerned.

United Kingdom | 04 April 2025I ordered a Tempur matress for delivery to my B&B in Scotland. We got regular updates with a delivery date and even the time for delivery. This morning we got an automated email stating the mattress would be delivered between 7am and 9am. I organised extra staff to deal with it and also lost a booking for a £300 per night room. The mattress didn't arrive. I called customer service at 12 noon and was left on hold listening to music for what seemed like an eternity, then after explaining the situation was transferred to a call centre, left on hold a lot longer then the phone went dead. Still no bed. Rang back again. Another long wait listening to awful music. Customer service answered. Left me on hold again. Starting to give up the will to live. Customer service finally gave me a reason; was told that the mattress was actually delivered to a courier in Glasgow for onward delivery. The customer service person suggested that if we wanted it today the courier would kindly allow us to collect it! From Glasgow! The business is two hours away in Oban! No apology, no acceptance that their system and automated email system was at fault. Great customer service Benson for Beds. Not!

And honestly even if the other stores have good bed I would still buy from here because the customer service we had from Mo was absolutely amazing. He was the manager there, he explained to us about everything we wanted to ask and helped us with our search. Had good knowledge and was not after just making a sale.

He really went through all aspects of mattresses and took his time to answer any of our questions and understand the type of bed that would fit us. Extremely happy with the mattress we chose and can’t wait for it to be delivered!!

United Kingdom | 04 April 2025After waiting over 3 months from date of purchase and various confirmations that my order would be ready 4/4. I was advised by email I would be contacted 3 days before to confirm the delivery time. That did not happen. I used the chat to chase this up and was told not Bensons could only see on their system that it would still be ready 4/4 and fault must be with the courier. I work full time and because of the uncertainty still needed to be at home - no follow up was ever made to me by Bensons to confirm or advise of delays by your third party contractor. Lunchtime on the day the delivery was due to be made, I received a call from the courier company...with a lead time of 8 days at the earliest! Not good enough. I have visitors arriving in 7 days. Even some sort of notice from Bensons that there would be a delay from your contracted provider would have been sufficient for me to make other arrangements. I would also not have required to be at home and be cross. Poor communications Bensons and seems the system/information availability between yourselves and courier is not working most efficiently.

A small issue with delivery but called Max and he sorted it out immediately. I couldn’t ask for better service. Thank you so much. excellent, high quality bed and brilliant customer service. United Kingdom | 04 April 2025The staff at the shop in Gateshead were excellent, friendly and informative. However the delivery and assembly team were terrible. Turned up late claiming they couldn’t find the house after sitting 25 metres down the road for nearly half an hour. The state they left the room in after assembling the bed was terrible, polystyrene bits were everywhere including behind the bed, it took me over 30 minutes to clean up their mess. One of the just painted walls was left badly marked and will have to be repainted, paint chips out of the door frame. On the basis of this delivery, unlikely to use Bensons in future.
