United Kingdom | 05 April 2025I walked into Bensons for Beds on Wednesday 2nd April and bought an ottoman type bed a firm mattress and a headboard Yeovil branch. The shop assistant Leah was very helpful and explained everything clearly. I am very satisfied with the service I received.

We didn’t feel pushed at all as we have received in other shops, he was very patient with us to choose the right bed for us. He had a lot of knowledge about the beds and that helped us pick the bed of our chosen.

This review is about the customer service and their avoidance tactics in owning up to selling a faulty inferior mattress. I purchased a very expensive mattress with built in topper over 2 years ago, around last year the mattress started dipping by about 2cm at each side, I weigh 90kg and my wife 60kg. Without going into a long winded story its now 3cm deep and Bensons for Beds are saying its not a manufacturing fault, I wont be buying anything from them again very bad customer service hiding behind stats and third party assessments.

United Kingdom | 05 April 2025Hey there! So, my girlfriend and I went to Bensons and Beds in March to buy a mattress. We had a friendly guy named Josh helping us out, but he was a bit too friendly and chatty for our liking. We just wanted to buy a mattress and get out of there, not have a long conversation. Anyway, we told him we had a budget of up to £300. He made me feel a bit embarrassed in front of my girlfriend and sold us a mattress for £650! That was way above our budget, but he put a lot of pressure on us to buy the more expensive one. I was already starting to sweat because I knew I’d have to use credit cards. As we sat down at the desk to pay, I noticed the price going up on the computer. I realised he had added a mattress protector for £40 and something else for £30, which was a kind of kit with sprays and stuff. We didn’t need that, so I told him I didn’t ask for it and asked him to remove it. Something felt off, so I just paid the deposit (£150) and left. The next day, I went online and found that the same mattress was 20% cheaper! So, I called the store to pay the rest 2 days later and told Josh and the person on the phone that the same mattress was 20% cheaper online. The person on the phone said they didn’t know if the price could be reduced or not and had to speak to the manager. I would have canceled the order if they wouldn’t apply the discount, but the employee called me back a few minutes later and said they had reduced the price, but the delivery date would be in April. No problem for us. We went to the store to pick up a new receipt, and Hannah was absolutely lovely and helpful! I think she’s the employee of the month!!!! So, that was my experience with Bensons and Beds. The mattress was delivered today, and the guys put it on the frame. Excellent delivery! Cheers, A couple from Edinburgh

Yes a very relaxed thoughtful and experienced sales Lady was present and answered all questions and even wrote out a quotation for us to take away. Of which was very reasonable. So I placed an order. Oh boy this is how buying and sales should be. Thank you Benson Beds and particularly "Holy" kindest regards.
