My wife and l visited HPL Oldham twice to view cars, we looked at several that met our requirements. Thanks to Josh, we found the very car we needed, there was no pressure to buy no over the top sales pitch just honest advice and support. What a great experience, such a knowledgeable young guy. Answered all our questions and everything went through very smoothly, l would definitely recommend Josh and HPL if you are looking for your next car. I know own a very low mileage car at a very affordable price. You will have to go a long way to get better.

Myself and my partner bought a Porsche Cayenne from HPL Motors Preston in January, 2024. When we brought the car home there was an unusual sound when we drove it. We brought it into to our local Porsche Centre as soon as we could to get this investigated. The engineers found that the wheels were not secured to the car and the air filter connected to the engine was completely disconnected!! As you can imagine we were devastated and felt scared that we had been driving an unsafe vehicle. When we informed HPL of this, it was almost as if they did not care. We informed them that to feel safe again we needed a full vehicle health check and investigation of the car. It took a month of arguing back and forth with the service department for them to authorise this work. Sadly, they only agreed to it after I asked to exercise my right to reject the vehicle under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Throughout the process the service manager did not even offer an apology until I claimed I was disappointed that he hadn't. He often would not even take my calls. Further, when I spoke to other members of staff they were in disbelief when I explained how dangerous the condition of the car was upon sale. Unfortunately, I am STILL waiting on a parcel shelf that was promised upon sale and it is 3 months later. Really disappointed with the after sales team and our new car experience was diabolical. Please be careful when buying a car from here as it seems hard to believe that their engineers would have forgotten to fasten the wheels properly and left the air filter completely disconnected!!

Bought my car from h.p.l. five years ago and that experience was brilliant, no problems whatsoever, now five years later have just taken my car to them for an M.O.T. which unfortunately failed, but the attention and consideration from the staff even the mechanic doing the job was impeccable, could not asked or wished for anything better, i have booked my car in with them for repairs and will undoubtedly stay with H.P.L, for everything now, so will my daughter and her car, they are exceptional people.

Purcased a beautiful car from HPL Oldham, excellent service with Kyle H, he was very helpful, courteous and explained everything in a great customer service manner, he was not pushy, let us have a good look around the cars and was very knowledgeable. I would recommend Kyle to assist in your purchase and also HPL motors. Thanks for an excellent warm and friendly service. Kyle went above and beyond listened to us and all worked out great.

We purchased a Hyundai i800 from the Oldham branch in Manchester. Our consultant was Filip. I can honestly say are experience was totally fantastic. Filip was totally professional and very knowledgeable. He never pushed us into anything and guided us through the process of buying our vehicle. I would not hesitate to us HPL Motors in the future. The car had 2 small dents on the bonnet that I did notice as I pick car up in the rain. I cleaned the car a few days later and reported the dents to Hpl the following week. They were not interested in fixing the dents. Cost just £60 to fix.

My husband and I visited this branch on Saturday. It was a pleasant experience and I wanted to share my positive feedback. Though all staff were friendly and polite, this review is aimed at one specific salesperson in particular, James Keating. James K, a young salesman greeted us and from the very beginning of our interaction, he was very polite and understanding of my needs. James was attentive and sincere. He was very thorough with general details and information shared about the vehicle I was interested in. I especially liked that he was respectful and not pushy or in a hurry. I didn’t need to keep repeating myself as he noted things down and paid attention to areas I felt were important to me. Though I didn’t end up purchasing the vehicle I was interested in at HPL (I opted for another) I wanted to leave a review of the experience we had as I had spent some time within the branch. As mentioned James K was very friendly, polite and honest with feedback. Considering he was relatively new, he knew his stuff and was far more attentive than most car salespeople I have met previously over years. I would highly recommend this young man at HPL should any customer wish to purchase a vehicle as he has all the skills needed for a positive car shopping experience.

I saw a car online and drove to HOL oldham, where I met Andy, who showed me the car I'd come to see. There was several bits of damage on the interior that Andy explained would be put right and I was sent a video of the interior of the car once the work had been done, so I could preview this before I when to pick it up. straightforward part-ex and Andy was a great sales person to deal with. I would definitely buy from HPL again.

Bought a car from HPL Preston last week (3yrs old, 40k miles), and it actually broke down whilst driving it home. Also, no parcel shelf of spare tyre in vehicle. Staff courteous, but at the end of the day I just want a car that works. So definitely wouldn’t recommend.

Wouldn't buy from here again for several reasons: I had to buy a warranty as no warranty was included; No service history on car; no owner's manual; only one key (which turned out to be faulty); phoned to mention scratches in paint but no response; apparently free MOTS but no invitation to book these.

A family member purchased a car in September 2023, drove 1000 miles in 4 months and there was an issue with the hydraulics on the clutch. Please note the consumer rights act as stated below, ‘ If a problem is found after 30 days, but within six months of purchase, you can request a repair or a replacement vehicle. The onus is on the seller of the car to prove the fault wasn’t present when the car was sold;’ When I called to explain this, I was told as more than 30 days had passed the onus is on us to prove the issue was there at the time of purchase, when I stated that the consumer rights act states the opposite I was fobbed off with ‘I have worked here for 8 years and this is how it works’ completely ignoring the law set out to protect buyers. Our only option now is to repair the issue (around 2k) and then take HPL to small claims court to claim the money back, which we will be doing. law is on our side and HPL refuse to accept this. The family member is 70+ years old and has been left without a car for a month at this point. When asked what my recourse is if I disagree I was told there is none. The 128 point check has no way of identifying a faulty hydraulic pump or a faulty slave cylinder unless the car was stripped. The business can not prove this issue was not there and they know it but they are ignoring that fact. It’s an intermittent issue that may only show itself once every few hundred miles. In summary AVOID, they will happily sell you a car but don’t give after sales care to the standard obliged in applicable law. We will now be out of pocket until we settle this in court which should not be the case.

I HATE BUYING CARS!! 1] You have to spend Ages finding the correct car. 2] You have to spend lotsa money 3] You have to drag around car lots and overly flash showrooms. 4] Most importantly - you have to deal with Car Salespeople !!! All of these things go against my better nature - but then I accidentally discovered HPL Preston and Paul Bennett. All of the staff were friendly and helpful on the phone and in the showroom [ with credit to the cleaning staff who must work hard to maintain it so well ] Paul got voted to have to deal with me and he was a credit to the company. Relaxed, friendly, efficient etc.etc and many other attributes could be applied - just GOOD will have to suffice. The workshop was clean, tidy and looked organised [ I've run these in the past and know that this isn't easy] The people were right, the car was right [ although the instruction book's a bit thick - like the new driver. Fred the Pointer was welcomed and has assured me he'll help to get rid of the initial shine !!! Not very often I say this, but I was impressed. Many thanks [ particularly to Paul B ] for making it such an easy ride. And the coffee was excellent [ must've been drugged to ease the parting with the money] Again Thanks & Regards, Terry.

In 45 years of driving and purchasing cars from a lot of different garages and salesmen, I can honestly say dealing with HPL Motors and Philip the salesman was an absolute pleasure and was a very honest and transparent process, with no pressure or fancy talk, just honest and well explained answering all my questions openly and honest, which in this day and age is totally unheard of. Philip did not sell me the car, he allowed me to buy it !. I would have no hesitation to refer HPL Motors to my friends and family and well be my first port of call when I change my current vehicle.

Recently purchased a new car from the Oldham branch. Filip was my salesman, he was very professional and welcoming right from the beginning making me feel at ease. Extremely knowledgeable and answered all of my questions guiding me through the whole process without any pressure. Part exchanging my old car was an easy and smooth process, Filip went above and beyond to make the whole experience a pleasurable one. Couldn't recommend him enough.
