Went on a Saturday to look at cars, didn't know what I wanted and Filip was helpful but not over pushy. Test drove 2 cars and made appointment to go back the next day to buy one them after thinking which I wanted. Went back Sunday and within an hour Filip had arranged all paperwork to exchange old car & buy new one Relaxed and friendly atmosphere in HPL and no pushy sales. Within a week I had my new car and Filip made it quick and easy for me and didn't feel pushed or rushed. Will def be back to get our next car from HPL.

He ensured we had all of the information we needed and took into consideration what my partner wanted. Before we found a car, we knew we wanted to purchase a car from here based off of the service we had received already. When we had found what we wanted, he was prompt in getting all the information together and made sure we understood everything whilst also keeping the excitement of buying a new car! He thoroughly explained everything about the car and was overall amazing. Thank you for all your help Daniel !!

After changing our mind ( after realising there was misleading information on the sales information about the vehicle) we have been informed that we are not entitled to our deposit back. A non refundable deposit was never brought to our attention throughout the process. We was informed that there is a 14 day cool off period but apparently that only applies if you change your mind about how you are going finance the car and not if you decide you no longer want to proceed with the purchase( again this was not brought to our attention) Honesty is part of the company name but I would argue that this is not the case ! Would not recommend this company for purchasing a used car, go to a main dealership as they are more trustworthy.

United Kingdom | 08 February 2024I have been sent away from this garage with no oil in my car. My car has been damaged and I am out of pocket. Their mechanics didn't think to check the oil level when I booked it in because it was making a grinding noise. I have had a service plan with them since November 2021. The service plan comes with oil replacement. Neither their sales manager or branch director have offered me any compensation for the 2 weeks of stress they caused by telling me it was my gearbox. Another garage checked it and found the car had no oil in it. HPL is supposed to stand for Honesty Produces Loyalty. They have rewarded my loyalty by ignoring my requests. They initially offered me a free service, why would I want a free service when you obviously haven't carried out my past services correctly? Steer clear, it's all smiles while they are taking your money, approach them with a problem and they are not interested in taking responsibility.

United Kingdom | 08 February 2024A way overdue review for the Oldham branch… Awful company to deal with from start to finish. Even now months later I am still having issues, I have taken my car for it’s MOT to an independent garage, who were highly confused as to why my mileage is 18000 miles however, on my MOT certificates given to me by hpl it states 25000 miles. Not sure what dodgy dealings go on here but I would seriously avoid, and buy elsewhere so you don’t have problems further down the line. Very eager for you to buy their cars but radio silence when you have a problem…

United Kingdom | 04 February 2024Very rude and angry staff employed at HPL Oldham Went in to view car and was told the car had service history and when questioned regarding why it recorded as inspection and not service , new employee got experience staff to explain and we asked same question and he got angry and was very rude , if you don’t want to buy the car that’s fine , very unprofessional poor customer service , will not recommend this place or go back there again

We were told we could take out a 5 year warranty to cover us for the duration of the finance. Which to be told the cars warranty was actually a 3 year and it ended in Aug felt like a stab in the back. Personally, I will avoid these when picking my next car within the next year and i'd advise to do the same.

United Kingdom | 27 January 2024Spoke with Elad about a VW Tiguan I was interested in at HPL Atherton. Having viewed a video he provided on the Monday agreed the car would be MOT’d, serviced and prepared ready for collection either Thur/Fri but more likely Sat. Was promised to be provided with full details of the service and prep work carried out to confirm the vehicle was ready and as expected. Elad then advised I should reserve the car for a ‘fully refundable’ deposit of £149.99 to ensure it was available when I came up. Assured that if in anyway I wasn’t happy I would have my money returned. I proceeded to reserve the car on Wednesday morning. I then received a call from a Sean saying he’d seen I’d reserved a car and when would I be collecting it. I went through my discussions and agreement with Elad, which Sean seemed completely unaware of, and confirmed that I wouldn’t be able to come up until Saturday morning. Sean then advised that my £149.99 would only reserve the car for 48hrs so couldn’t guarantee the vehicle would be available when I travelled up on the Saturday. I was told that Elad wasn’t in today but would call me tomorrow (Thursday) to sort everything out. I then received no further communication, no confirmation about the vehicles service or preparation and hey presto come Friday the vehicle is shown as no longer reserved. No way I could now trust this company to travel up from Birmingham to Manchester to hand potentially over £15k for a car that may no longer be available and with unanswered questions arounds its history and servicing. Basically drawn in and strung along on false pretences and promises until they illegitimately extracted funds from me. I’m now left out of pocket for no value to my self and without a vehicle. Hard lesson learned by my self in terms of how trust should be earned. HPL - Honesty Produces Loyalty….what an absolute joke!
