We purchased a Marino 2 seater sofa in May 2021. We have purchased numerous pieces of Ercol furniture, but within days the sofa looked bedraggled, back cushions and main seat cushion constantly move/ slip and need puffed up and now the shape of them is no longer as the photos shown or advertised. We contacted our supplier we purchased from and got told this was normal with a sofa that you had to puff up the cushions after every time you sat on the sofa,however an independent technician on inspection agreed that the cushions would not stay in place due to the varnish finish of the furniture and added that the back cushions and base should have been attached with ties and also the filling that has been used is inadequate. We Even went to the furniture ombudsman to be then told that Ercol say there is no manufacturing defect and nothing can be done.This may well be the case but the sofa It is very uncomfortable and does not look good, hence not fit for purpose in our opinion.We will never purchase another Ercol piece of furniture again if this is the level of customer service. This is not a cheap piece of furniture and we would expect better wear than this.

Bought two Ravenna Sofas in 2014, they are now both extremely uncomfortable and I will have to replace. This is with two adults, no pets and no children. The material has worn well it is the wavy springs in the base. I expected better from a brand name.

I have bought 4 dining chairs and am so pleased with them. They are very comfortable with great support and look beautiful. The delivery was on time and without issues although the driver told me to retain the packaging, which takes up a huge amount of room in the garage. I am tempted to recycle it as I am sure the chairs will be fine.

I was so pleased with my Ercol Gina recliner which I have now owned for 5 years. It’s the most comfortable chair I’ve ever owned. Unfortunately the recliner gas cylinder malfunctioned after daily use. So I contacted Ercol who were very helpful and told me I could purchase a replacement gas cylinder. They sent it to me within a week with instructions on how to fit. I managed this ok until I reached a problem at the last part - so I called the Ercol team. The customer service team were excellent and helped put me in touch with John in the workshop who spent time on the phone talking through how to fix it. I managed to fix the chair and it is now as good as new. Thank you Ercol team!

I bought 2 Ercol marino chairs in March. They are so hard. It is the webbing that has no give at all and cushions are also very 'firm'. I have tried putting a soft cushion on but it makes no difference. So disappointed as I love the look of the chairs and had wanted for many years. I just can't sit in them

We bought an Enna sofa and two recliners and finally had them delivered just before Christmas. They are so hard and uncomfortable after 5 months. We were not informed at time of purchase that they would take time to become comfortable.we really regret our purchase and feel miserable having no comfortable chairs to sit in but we don’t know what to do. Any suggestions?

I purchased a rocking chair and it is excellent. The craftsmanship is second to none. The standard and finish is better than I expected. The chair is flawless. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Fantastic quality products.

Furniture is great, as expected. Only moan is about delivery which was pricey and I got messed about with the day rescheduled by the carrier after it had been fixed.

Unfortunately our saga with Ercol continues... We were expecting one cushion cover and two seat inners. On Wednesday 27th April eight large covers and eight large inners were delivered BUT none of these were the seat inners for our larger sofa!!! In fact, four of the cushions were back cushions for our larger sofa that we neither wanted nor needed! We reported this immediately and a gentleman called Jonathan Rose from Ercol did ring and apologise (thank you). This was the first time we felt that someone from Ercol was actually bothered! Jonathan said he would try to sort this ... We do hope this is sorted soon...we have requested compensation as this really has been one Ercol failure after another!! (Please could we request that the people who reply to Ercol's negative posts display some empathy towards frustrated customers, thank you).

We ordered the Bellaria chaise and a large sofa from Furniture Village during lockdown in January 21. The large sofa is covered in a velvet fabric and we have no complaints about that. The sofas were delivered in May 22 and within weeks the fabric on the chaise began to develop extreme pilling - this is a weave style fabric. It also creaks and the seat part of the chaise has dipped so that you feel like you are sitting in sinking sand. We have had three technicians visit and say that the state of the fabric is a natural process of the fabric and we should buy a defuzzer to manage it. He then proceeded to spend (what took him) 15 minutes with a defuzzer working on three inch square patch. REALLY?? We are meant to treat the WHOLE sofa regularly like this? THEN THE FABRIC ISN’T SUITABLE, CLEARLY, TO BE USED FOR SOFA UPHOLSERY!! It looks like a rag. My husband has described it as looking like a mangy cat that has been caught out in the rain! I place a throw over over it when we have visitors because I’m embarrassed of how it looks. We were never informed that the fabric would degrade so quickly in this way and had to make our choice via video link. One technician told us that the back legs are shorter to explain the ski slope effect on the chaise part of the sofa. Only myself and my husband use the sofa and it was an expensive purchase, but we absolutely hate it. We were told to plump up the cushions regularly. We do this with the back cushion, however it is not possible to plump up the seat cushions no matter how we try - it has no effect. To achieve this, a technician had to remove the large, heavy chaise seat cushion, unzipped it the cover and plucked at (what we were horrified to see) what looked like cotton wool covered by tissue, then zipped it back up and placed it back in the sofa. It looked slightly better UNTIL it was used again, when it reverted to the same appearance. We are both 60 - do they really expect us to do this??? It takes two of us to lift it off and stand it up. Th technique he used had no effect on the cushion itself, just the lumpy appearance of the ‘cotton wool’ topping. We have bought over the past 40 years years Ercol beds and bedroom furniture, shelving, nest of tables, Windsor dining table and chairs, the plank table, a coffee table. We also have 40 year old Windsor sofas that have been handed down to children and have never needed the foam changing. We were disappointed that the quality that we have come to love and respect is missing from this piece of furniture. In the absence of FV acknowledging that there is a problem, I have emailed Ercol using their online forms, and am awaiting a reply.

Errol Furniture contacted us and apparently the delivery charge should have included assembly and removal of all packaging. As this didn’t happen they have refunded the delivery charge and apologised for the delivery team not carrying out their job. Very pleased with the dressing table thank you.

I have just bought an Ercol chair to match my recently purchased Ercol desk and cabinet. I now have a classy new room, which is a home office and snug. Ercol is my first point of call for wooden furniture and has been for many years. It is quality and style that endures. Thank you too to the lady at Ercol Customer Service who helped me to select the right chair to go with my other furniture when it was not possible to view it in a showroom.

Had a table ordered it came broken had a replacement it was also damaged. The damage must have happened on the factory not transit as it was deep inside and wrapped up so they deliberately sent faulty or unchecked goods

I am very disappointed despite being assured on purchase from the supplier that our two Enna sofas would come with two scatter cushions each, which they did not. I appreciate that it is the suppliers fault (furniture village) but cant believe that even if i pay extra Ercol will not provide them.  I have purchased lots of ercol furniture over the years but wont buy again.  They wont even allow me to purchase the fabric to make the cushions and i wanted then to match.  Gutted, customer service from Ercol has been dreadful, from start to finish, cant believe that for the sake of four small scatter cushions that they want a bad review. My next sofa will be Duresta. Good bye Ercol. Ercol have not even responded to any of my emails. Very disappointed in their customer service. Have now had a response from ercol, another £340. Will update if we reach a solutions. Update Ercol have been very helpful and have arranged a quick delivery of four scatter cushions at a cost of £340 which should have been paid by furniture village (they did refund £300) as we thought we had already paid for them. I cant fault the service I have had since dealing direct with Charmaine at Ercol. I have to give her five stars for the work she has put in to get us the cushions we required. Furniture Village on the other hand I will never purchase from again.

Bought two Conzenza sofas and an arm chair, We have NEVER been so disappointed with furniture. The cushions very quickly became uncomfortable but we left it and kept plumping the cushions; then we were told by the store we need to contact Ercol, Then Covid hit and we struggled to get hold of anyone. The local store came and looked and to use his words "it looks very tired " This is in a house with two adults no children and no pets. Eventually it was agreed that two cushion pads would be ordered, they have been with the local shop since October. They are apparently waiting for the upholsterer. We were told lets just start with two cushions and then we will address the other issues. ie poor fabric. Every time you speak to ERCOL they say speak to the supplier. Not once have Ercol addressed the problem. In nearly 40 years of marriage this is only the third sofa we have had. The previous one we had came with a 10 year warranty, we never needed it. Ercol furniture seems to come with nothing. WHY they have customer support when they do not support. I wish we had seen these reviews before we bought furniture valued at over £4000. I said about the reviews to customer support and was told they make Bespoke furniture in Princes Risborough, the rest is produced by other companies to their design. So you think you are buying Ercol but its not actually produced by Ercol. Like previous reviews we thought this would be the last furniture we would need to buy but it wont. If we had the money I would take it and leave it outside their premises unfortunately I don`t. I have said I will get the cushion pads and put them in myself, not what you expect to have to do with new furniture, but hopefully at least one of us will be more comfortable. I have always been polite with whoever I have spoken to although I wanted to refer to the sofas and arm chair as pieces of junk. If I could have left 0 stars for for the items plus customer service at Ercol I WOULD . Buyers beware
