We bought two Ercol sofas from Lee Longlands. They took ages to come but we expected that. Then after a month the seat cushions started to sag and eventually ended up about an inch and a half thick and so uncomfortable we had to pad them out with blankets. Lee Longlands arranged for inspection, the inspector agreed they were faulty and would replace both sofas' cushions., Then it took Ercol three months to send new ones for just one sofa - which when they arrived were the wrong size, about 2 inches each too narrow so we have a 4 inchgap at the end of the sofa and the foam doesn't fill the covers! Now we're getting the run-around and no-one wants to deal with the problem. SO it's the furniture Ombudsman and the small claims court for us. Ercol - DON'T BUY!!

Six cushion tapes on our set of dining chairs frayed and broke after more than 20 years excellent service. I contacted Ercol online to purchase replacements on Wednesday. My query was answered the same day and the six replacement tapes were sent out the following day which I received on Saturday……excellent service indeed especially since this was at no cost to me at all! Quality service for their quality furniture!

Bought two Ercol Cosenza sofas about 5 years ago thinking it was a quality product to last. Sadly not. They look lovely but have become saggy very quickly but the true telling of the quality is the material they use underneath the sofas. It is so thin and fragile it is like toilet paper. One touch and your finger goes through it so when moving sofas around to vacuum the underside has ripped with lots of bits hanging down - I eventually had to rip the whole lot off it was so unsightly. We paid nearly £4,000 for these two sofas and if the company can't be bothered using decent quality materials for what must be only a few pence extra it's just not worth the money. Like most things that used to be good quality, sadly no longer. Very disappointing.

Pretty looking, but close up the cushions of our sofa are terrible. The cushions have no durability and have a deep crease along the middle of the cushions that you’d sit on. We have had a technician out to look, they plumped it up, and within a day the indentations were back. Ercol replaced the base cushions, and the new cushion is now doing the same thing. Wouldn’t buy Ercol sofas again. We should have gone with the one in Next we liked. Much cheaper and more durable.

We chose the Salina range, after having the opportunity to visit the Ercol factory and showroom. Delivery was quicker than we expected and it looks great in our newly-decorated bedroom. The only niggle was some bed slats were insufficiently bowed (and so were some in the replacement set), but the bed is very comfortable. The tall chest of drawers is spacious and the raised edges on it and bedside tables adds a practical touch.

Excellent service. First class TV stand arrived within 10 days of my order. Delivered and unpacked by 2 very helpful delivery drivers. Exceptional packing to prevent any damage, also removed when they left. Follow up phone call 7-10 days after delivery from Ercol customer services to check that I was happy with the furniture. Worth paying extra for this service. l

Further to my adverse review of 19th October and the Ercol response offering to escalate the issue. I have now received another email to the effect that they will do nothing. Their attempt to make it look as if they are taking the matter seriously on Trustpilot and then do nothing does not lead me to trust anything they write here. Other unhappy customers may also expect a lack of good faith from Ercol in their dealings with them.

I am really pleased with my beautiful Kingsize Bosco bed. The wood is beautiful and I particularly like the corner and jointing details, very high quality craftsmanship. It was easy to assemble with clear instructions. Would definitely recommend this product.

Quite a lot of negative feedback about this brand, I’ve always like Ercol furniture it complements my GPlan furniture very nicely

Marinello sofa and chair bought 9 months ago. Flat cushions with no resilience. Customer care from Ercol organised independent review says " nothing wrong- plump them up" Plumped them ( yet again) Flat and uncomfortable again. Ercol are in denial. This is sadly now a company not to buy from. Very poor manufacturer This from a completely independent user who has been sitting on sofas for more than 60 years and knows when one is not right!

Ordered a sofa, chair and coffee table from Ercol via McKays in Edinburgh. Painfully slow delivery - OK it was Covid, but after sales terrible. Told to batter the cushions in the chair to plump them up after they refuse to bounce back and sofa cushions don't even respond to battering! Still waiting for new cushions after 7 months. Now having to ask McKays to deliver or give me a refund. So sad, thought furniture would last.

I bought a Teramo table, ordered directly from Ercol. I was really impressed with the efficient service I received. Great communication, very knowledgeable staff and timely delivery isn't always the case with some furniture companies and Ercol were spot on. Thankyou!

I have purchased a Marinello sofa and Romano table and chairs for my kitchen, they are super quality and look fantastic in situ. They were ordered directly through Ercol where communication and delivery service were second to none - I would highly recommend.

Just received my four pieces of Ercol Romano furniture from Cooke’s of Birmingham today,after reading reports on here today about other people’s experiences of Ercol mine could not have been more different, arrived on time, quality excellent, would certainly recommend Ercol and Cooke’s furniture.

We have had 2 Ercol sofas plus a chair and footstool via Lucas’s in Aylesbury. All of the furniture was delivered late which we sort of expected in the current situation and the sofas are lovely but on delivery the fitters said that the wrong legs had been sent for the footstool, and so the debacle began. To cut a very long story short, Ercol finally said that the chair and footstool needed replacing and we were given a date of early August, that has now changed to late October. From my own experiences and from the majority of reviews here, I can only say stay away from Ercol.

Shame I couldn’t give zero star. Bought an expensive ( over £1500 )Ercol Ginosa recliner from Woods Dorchester. Service from Woods was laughable with promises of deliver broken time and again. Finally arrived January 2021 and after a few months cracks developed in the steel base welding which made the chair unstable and possibly dangerous. Tried to contact Ercol, to no avail had to deal with the bozos at Woods. Sent pictures. Not enough. Although they supplied it they wanted the model, and serial numbers which are buried underneath this heavy unit. You would think that someone would take the trouble to look up my order!! Finally they agreed to replace the base. 12 weeks it would take?? Ercol would send base to Woods, Woods would send base to me and when I finally got it I was to inform THEIR installer who would arrange to install. What a shower. Don’t know the meaning of customer service. Avoid both lots

I ordered a Forli chaise/ sofa and chair. It was delivered on time. The quality is exceptional and it is so comfy to sit on (always a worry when buying on line) I cannot fault the product or the service. Thank you Ercol!

I don’t recommend a Ercol. The furniture is NOT the same as it was in 1960s/70s. Having been brought up with Ercol furniture I was keen to buy myself a sofa from them. I purchased the Cosenza 2-seater for just under £1200. It was a big mistake. It’s extremely uncomfortable to sit on for any length of time. I approached Ercol who said they couldn’t help me and told me to go back to the retailer. The retailer Barker and Stonehouse sent a ‘technician’ who said there were no manufacturing faults. After many months of pursuing an unsuccessful claim through the Furniture Ombudsmen I’m still left with my hard Cosenza sofa. I’m so unhappy and disappointed with my Ercol purchase.
