I wouldn't recommend attending the Green Street branch of H&T Pawnbrokers for an interview if you are a person of colour as you will be dismissed immediately. I showed up in formal clothing and asked for Cristina-Georgiana David at the front desk, she then came to meet me in the front of the shop and told me that she couldn't do the interview with me and gave no reason. She then said she would be in contact me to reschedule and she didn't. She also lied that she had tried to contact me earlier on in the day but I had no missed calls or emails. For future reference if you do not wish to interview or hire people of a certain race do not waste their time and screen them ahead of time.

Went into my Local Branch had a Full 22ct Sovereign for Sale. Never used a Pawnbroker’s to sell always feel there is a little bit of stigma that comes with entering the Shop. I’d spoken on Live-Chat so explained what was for sale and really good service Good thing you can send photos while Live Chatting. I was then asked to visit the shop as they couldn’t give an estimate price of Sale Which fair enough from Photos I wouldn’t even commit. Before I went I thought I’d look on site to Gold Dealers/Cash for Gold. Whilst doing this a found a Company sent all details and they come back with a price for the Item. With this knowledge and knowing the Price I thought I’d visit Pawnbrokers. I was greeted friendly explained I’d spoken with one of her colleagues 2hrs which fell on deaf ears. So explained the situation had rung earlier told to come down and speak to someone. Fast Forward … I offered a 22ct Gold Full Sovereign 1974 I brought it in the 80s which I explained owed me no money £236? I then explained I was just speaking to another company and proof on phone which I showed her and greeted with a blank expression and that it was wrong.£414.00 Obviously I declined that price paid £7.00 delivery yesterday they phoned that day money was in Bank 2hrs Later…

I’ve used H&T Pawnbrokers for a good couple of decades now. They are the only ones I would trust in this kind of thing. Friendly, helpful and always supportive staff make the experience of pawning one’s articles that much easier and less stressful. H&T really go out of their way to be as supportive and respectful as possible. I always recommend them to Family and Friends alike!

Went in to get price for 9ct and 14ct gold. First of all one item they stated was 9ct not 14ct .Had it appraise by two other independent jewellers and they said 14ct straight away ,no question! On top of that I received £1220 for the same jewellery I was offered £790 from H&T Do not sell your gold to them go to an independent jewellers who offer the market price .

they allowed somebody other then myself to sign my contract and take out my jewellery. Disgusting.what's the point of having a contract if anyone can use it? Terrible
