Wow amazing service @ H&T Reading. The two ladies deserve to be recognised by upper management for the best customer service they provided to us on purchase of a watch on 17/06/24.

Do not use this company to change holiday money to pounds. They will tell you how much you would get, but not the exchange rate, which is hard to work out in your head. Abysmal exchange rate, please go to a proper exchange bureau or a bank to get a decent rate for your money. As a member of the Financial Services Authority, this company must ; "give you appropriate information about your transactions (for example, references to identify transactions, and information about transaction dates, amounts, charges, and exchange rates used)" Will report this to the FSA if not resolved.

Online order. Watch came in great condition, it looks like new. Great customer service when I called with a couple of queries. Would have liked a faster delivery option.

went in today with 24c gold, 20g gold bars and 2 full sovereigns, offered me £1100 hahaha, would rather throw it in the worksop canal before i took that price. offered £31 for 24c gold, cash for gold offering £59. come on guys what a joke, the b.s excuse that you have overheads didnt wash with me, stealing off people that are down on their luck is abysmal. should be ashamed of yourselves, i will NEVER deal with you guys again as long as i have breath in my body, nice enough woman just felt like i was treated like a complete idiot

Avoid these sharks at all costs, went to the lewisham store to sell a 9ct gold medal, it weighed just under 10 grams, the lady looked at me and maybe remembered me when I used the pawnbroking services on a couple of occasions and maybe thought I was desperate to take her best offer of 120 pound?! I told her surly it’s around 20 pound a gram and she said if I really need the cash she could give me an extra 10 pound like as if she was doing me a favour, I knew she was trying to take advantage because mistakenly she misjudged the situation and thought I was really desperate, I went couple doors down to another jeweller who buys gold and give me 180? So my advice is if your selling gold avoid H&T.

Absolute disgrace, I got an online evaluation which I completely understand can change price, fine by a couple of pounds not £300. After my evaluation I called up the number I was given on the email and said please don’t send me there if they won’t come close to the evaluation I was told no it will be close or possibly more. I went today was told £300 less then they bumped it up by £100 for a branded diamond watch which is still on goldsmiths for £1650. I wouldn’t have taken the money if it hadn’t have already cost me £40 round trip to get there. People are not selling their items for fun it seems they’re preying on vulnerable people to take what they offer. The online evaluation is absolutely pointless, they said I described my item as pristine when I didn’t and the woman who gave the evaluation in the first place over email even confirmed when I was in the shop that I didn’t describe it as that and then they said it’s quite small, obviously it would be it’s a woman’s watch! I’m absolutely disgusted. Just to not it was not the staff in store at fault they were very apologetic. In response to the reply, I have already complained via email I haven’t heard back yet but I have sent it, I hope there is some kind of resolution to this as the whole situation wasn’t fair in the slightest.

When going in to bath street store to collect the gold, The staff and there was a lot off staff, five of them, wanted to see the document signature which I showed them, They told me they they wanted access to the document although I gave them the pawn ticket. They told me to phone the online document company but we're unable to give me the number.They wasted my time for half hour b4 I got my gold, they didn't have a clue and very unfriendly. Won't be back.
