United Kingdom | 17 February 2025After being a customer for 7 maybe 8 years the county rd shop in Liverpool showed me just what they think about long standing customers! Now I was told I could make easy payments via their app however after trying a number of times even with the help of their customer relations frankly it was a waste of time! The vendor H&T refused to accept payment although my card wasnāt a problem when I used it in store so to save me time and expense and travelling on four buses each time I wanted to make a payment after all itās not my fault their app is useless so I asked for my item to be transferred to a near by store I didnāt realise greed came before a customers inconvenience Iāve never known in all my years using H&T That they would disregard my loyalty and be more interested in shop profits! So now not only have they lost my custom But I would not recommend them to anyone else! Iām not interested in hollow words of excuses or half a complaint answered as promised hereās my response to your lax a daisy attitude And uncaring mentality I donāt think much of your customers relations either But I do thank your shop manager from the Liverpool city centre! Tracy she was helpful in my moment of stress and anxiety! This is how youāre supposed to help customers! But you can be sure as a company I want nothing else to do with you! Well done H&T

United Kingdom | 14 February 2025I placed 2 orders for view in store, unfortunately the other item was currently on transit when I placed the order and was been sold, my Ā£25 was not refunded at this stage. When the other item was delivered to the store for me to view, I did not like it and I was immediately refunded. I asked the manager about the refund for the other item and I was told that it will going to be refunded. As I was the store already and asked the manager about the other item online that I am interested with, I was told to order it and addressed it to that store so that he can give me further discount and the deposit for the other item will be deducted as well but did not clarify that I should order it as View in store instead of buying it online. 5 business days later, the item was delivered, the manager and no one in the store is trained to adjust the watch links so that I can use it straight away. I mentioned again the Ā£25 deposit that hasnāt refunded yet and he said that he will look into it and took the order and VIS number. I then received an email that the refund was been action on 30/01/25 while the deposit I paid left my account on 03/02/25. I am traumatised by the experience H&T has given me considering that it is my first time to do business with them.

United Kingdom | 11 February 2025In early January 2025 I decided to sell two Britania coins. I phoned H&T and 1I was offered £920 per coin. I informed the shop assistant that EVERY responsible gold dealer in the UK was offering £2,230 per coin. I asked why H&T pawnbrokers were trying to con me out of £2620 on a single transaction The shop assistant replied, "That's our company policy". I emailed H&T pawnbrokers head office and I received a reply stating, everything I was told was correct. I written back, 'is it your company policy to pay 40% of the going exchange rate for scrap gold (bullion price) instead of paying what the gold is worth? They didn't respond. Be very, very careful if you are considering using this company. Remember, their company policy is to rob you of as much as they can. Since then, H&T pawnbrokers have sent me a responce, it states:- Based on the above findings we do not uphold your complaint. Yet the reply on-line says, Please give us more information so we can look into this. They are con merchants.

United Kingdom | 04 February 2025Fake gold coin!! I recently purchased and received a 1/10 gold coin from their online store. I also bought a sigma pmv machine over Christmas, just in time it seems. I tested the coin multiple times comparing it with a full oz version and It tested negative on every try. I contacted H&T online who suggested bringing it to a branch to let them file it down. But if it was real I'd have a damaged coin and as its bullion I'd have to keep it. I refused that option and after negotiation was offered the option to post the coin back via special delivery. I did this and was shocked that I'd received a refund by the next day with no explanation or apology. I appreciate the fact I was refunded but with no reply? I can only then assume it was a fake cpin as the machine had indicated. I feel this was poor customer service although the lady who answered the phone was polite. To not even acknowledge receipt or apologise after id sent the coin back is unbelievable and I feel extremely unvalued as a customer. This definitely justified buying the sigma machine and i was a loyal customer but will be very wary of making any future purchases from them. Thanks for your reply but I will use your online customer portal to enter my details for security and data protection reasons.

The manager Sean told me to give him 2 seconds and I said ok, then he proceeded to laugh around with the other colleagues and make me wait 30 minutes! Very unprofessional service to work with let alone use.

I see many of them available in chatham branch then went online to do it. All part of the scam I guess but I'm glad I paid with PayPal because they will return my money! I've left many negative reviews for this business! No clarity what so ever! Called and they just said same old crap.
