United States | 21 July 2023Loved the size of the unit. It was nice and clean when we picked it up. Defiantly will consider renting again from Cruise America. At pick during walk through the refrigerator would not turn on Attendant looked at fridge and said it was working. Fridge worked intermittently. We lost $70 dollars in groceries. Last but not least while driving down the road the unit is very hot passed the cockpit area. Attendant told us to adjust A/C vents from cockpit and unit would be comfortable. We ended up having to run generator in order to run unit A/C at $3.50 per hour.

United States | 20 July 2023Generator did not work called office they couldn’t help also called 800 number they couldn’t help. I was hungry and couldn’t cook went without eating all day. No restaurants around. We were charged for it anyway. We were told that they didn’t know for sure we didn’t use the gerenerator. Let’s put it this way, I wouldn’t have gone without food for an entire day taking medicine on an empty stomach. Bad experience. I got sick

United States | 20 July 2023The suspension on the RV was terrible. Every bump on the road was felt by both the driver and the passengers. In addition, the lack of suspension meant every mile we travelled was done while fighting the wind. Lastly, there was no mention on a mileage fee until I was returning the RV. Ended up costing me a lot more than what was advertised.

Canada | 20 July 2023Good instructions. Friendly and helpful reception by your employee. Matrass of bed in rear of RV could be a tiny bit softer, but we could arrange that by putting a blanket underneath. Tow/haul selector was very helpful while driving in mountains.

United States | 20 July 2023We were giving an RV with a broken refrigerator and a broken generator. Trouble shooting did not work and we lost all our food and the RV was 90+ degrees inside on a 100 degree day. The RV also had an expired registration. Attempts to resolve with Cruise America failed, no reply to email requests and phone calls led back to telling us to send an email. Never again. Now disputing with my credit card company.

United States | 20 July 20231. Was not happy with the condition of the RV. a. Smell - very musty. b. Broken windshield. c. Low water pressure. d. Damaged threw out body and rear bumper 2. When we pick up the RV, the guy who check it out was nice, but keep telling me that I did not need to mark all the problems with the unit, said they know each one very well, and it would be no problem. But I did make him mark down the main stuff. 3. Drop-off was not fun, we dropped it off the next day, dew, just not enjoying the experience with the RV. The guy who checked it in said that I had to go buy 6 more gal. of fuel in it, or he would charge me 10 dollars a gaI. I brought in with the same amount of fuel that I took it with, I should have checked the check out better. and then made me go buy more propane. I told him that when we check it out, the nice guy told me the gauge was stuck at 1/2. I had the RV for just one night and never used the stove or heater. I should have had him put that on the checkout also. So he had me take the RV to a Uhaul down the street, where the guy told me it was full. When I went back to tell the guy at the rental place, he just gave me a look. Just felt bad about the whole experience, and a rude guy at the end did not help. I have rented 2 other RVs from El Monte RV, and both were great times and better units, Sorry, I just will not be renting from your company again. Also, it would have been nice to have TV's in the RV. Thanks

United States | 19 July 2023The AC only worked in the front of the RV which made the rest of the vehicle hot. We had dogs in the RV and had to put ice in their beds for cooling. Heat from the floor was making driver and passenger shoes hot.

United States | 19 July 2023The pick up and drop off was a breeze. The people were super nice and explained everything well. My only complaint was that the camper was not very clean. It had a funny smell and there was hair and dirt on the floor. I feel like we left it cleaner than when we picked it up. Oh, and a surprise box of condoms in the drawer was gross. Glad our grandson didn’t find them.

Canada | 19 July 2023Excellent new RVs.. clean.. reasonable prices.. no hidden fees.. most add ons are even free.. expected to pay for kitchen kit - they did not even charge.. also they made early pick up and late return available! Staff is excellent at explaining all the ins and outs for first time RV campers as well! Would definitely rent again!

The RV accommodated our family and pets were allowed which was a big plus both times. If we ever plan another rving trip, we'll be sure to go with this company.

United States | 19 July 2023The company sent us out into the 120 degree desert in an RV where 4 of 10 cylinders didn’t work. When it inevitably died, at least three of the five of us suffered heat exhaustion waiting on hold with customer “service”. Three days, yes three days, later they got us a replacement RV. Instead of spending our three days of non-travel time at the Grand Canyon, we spent it in Laughlin Nevada. By the time they got us a replacement it was time to return home, so no vacation for us. The callous way we were treated by customer service was reprehensible. A non-exhaustive list of the issues: No kitchen set Weird fridge smell No curtain on rear suite Window w/torn screen Damage to driver’s side panels Damage on cab-over bed inner panels Sewage cover busted Bed sizes wrong Suspension on its last legs No dish support racks in cabinets Dirty windows Filthy toilet Broken cargo lock Window Velcro useless Table bed busted on hinge and nearly unusable Cab-over bed had no support-reinforced mattress panel, making it unsafe to use. When contacted to ask if we were missing a piece, customer service assured us that the bed was not supposed to have support in the large cutout area. Engine busted all up with 4/10 cylinders misfiring Lied about engine light being on due to “aftermarket catalytic converter” leading us to get broken down and stranded in the middle of the desert Left on hold for 20+ minutes while stranded in the desert with no way to avoid the sun beyond sitting in the oven they rented to us as if it were an RV Left on hold multiple times after reaching safety, once for 52 minutes, before being told that all supervisors were in a meeting and so no one could help us. This “meeting” lasted over two days, based on how long it was used as an excuse to avoid helping us in any way. Denied service for vehicle due to cost, with promise to replace it within 12 hours. Tried to convince us to sleep in the nonfunctional RV in the middle of the desert during a heatwave so they wouldn’t have to pay for the hotel rooms we had to stay in while the replacement was in transit. Failed to deliver replacement RV for 45 hours Replacement RV had almost no fuel in tank Replacement RV had large amounts of sawdust on most surfaces Replacement RV cab-over bed curtain rod was half ripped out of the ceiling Replacement RV cab-over bed had properly supported mattress panel, highlighting an earlier lie told by customer service Replacement RV side door closing latch required coaxing to work properly Neither RV side door had functional pin-open latches, making loading and unloading an irritating game of timing unless you had someone assigned to holding it open
