United States | 03 December 2015I rented an unlimited data Sim card from Amigo. I had continual service from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem and from the Negev to the Golan. The GPS on the phone was active throughout the entire trip. The service was better than anticipated, all though service was limited, as expected, in rugged areas.

United States | 03 December 2015This was the second time I used Amigo. Unfortunately, left the phone in the cab I took to the airport, so I actually didn't use it. I was lucky and the very sweet cabdriver held the phone for me for my return. I sent an email to customer service to let them know I had lost the phone, and a second one that it was found. When I called them upon my return, they were very nice, and I only was billed $2 a day for the phone rental (plus the UPS charges), not the full price because the SIM card was never used. My only complaint is the $10 each way UPS charge for delivery and return of the phone. I live blocks away from them, but their office is only open 9-5 pm Monday through Friday. But they are helpful, gracious and I definitely would use them again in the future.

United States | 02 December 2015My phone was not connected on the correct date. I stayed without communication for 4 days, until I received an e-mail stating that I should have returned the phone one day before arriving at my destination. The response was not apologetic, but curt and short to shut off and turn on the unit again. I should not be charged at all, for the inconvenience. I gave the number to a pharmacy for a large order of medicine, and they did not contact me since the phone was not operating. I had to redo the whole search in a different city, since by the time the phone was working, I was somewhere away from the original location.

Canada | 27 November 2015I rented a sim card for use in Israel for 2 weeks. The plan included unlimited calling and 3 GB of data. The dialing worked but the data never worked. A representative of Amigo in Israel brought me 2 more sim cards. I had to wait till the next day because there was some problem with the activation. When I was told which one to use the data still didn't work. I was told that they would work on it. It never worked. I don't know if the problem was the sim card or my phone. With all the moving of different sim cards in my phone, some pins under the sim card got damaged and I have had to give my phone in for repair. I think that the next time I need a phone in Israel I would not rent a sim card but a whole phone. There was no friction, I think they tried to fix the problem but I was very frustrated with the whole situation.

United States | 22 November 2015I am usually satisfied with Amigo service, and recommend it readily to all my friends and associates when they travel, but this last trip using Amigo was exceptionally disappointing. I run a business in New York, and have always had adequate service with Amigo. During my last visit, service was spotty, and I constantly lost calls. The sound/reception of voice calls was excedingly poor, almost inaudible, even with the volume high and my moving to a private, silent location. I have been receiving the same, old brick phone, that technologically dates back over fifteen (15) years! I cannot continue to travel with these phones, if I am to successfully keep in contact with my business and clientele.

United States | 21 November 2015Decided to rent a phone shortly before departing the US. Amigo US was able to get us the phone in time, with excellent instructions on how to use the phone and make receive international and local calls in Israel. Worked flawlessly! Thank you Amigo US!

United States | 19 November 2015Everything worked great. I forgot the instructions on how to set up the data, emailed the company on a Sunday and got an answer right away. Everything was flawless and no extra charges at all. Used a lot. Thank you

United States | 18 November 2015Amigo was recommended to me for cell service while traveling out of the country. I found Amigo to be very professional and provided the great service and good equipment as advertised. I was able to make and receive calls with no problems at very competitive cost. I would not hesitate to use Amigo again when traveling out of the country.

United States | 17 November 2015I was so very lucky to find Amigo - Yakov and even his partner were very helpful. The renting of a smart phone made everything so much easier even if I wasn't that smart at using it! Since there are very few of those available, I know I was lucky to be able to rent one. I loved not having to think about how many minutes were going in and out! Just wish I was more familiar with how a smart phone works. It would have been an even better experience. I didn't know how to access the e-mail - but that's my issue!

United States | 17 November 2015End to end from order to return and everything in between I got the service I wanted with no issues at all.

United States | 14 November 2015So I got an SD card for my smart phone. Supposed to have unlimited data, txt and calls. What I got was just the ability to call. I called Verizon before I left and they said it would work on my phone. I then checked with Amigo US and they said it would with my phone. Well got to my destination and nope data and txt do not work just calls. Now I have to pay for everything. Amigo US says I should have checked to see if it worked with my phone before I left. So when you call or email you will get someone who will say anything and they probably don't keep records of calls. Also the directions they send with phone or SD card is limited at best. Apparently you have to be fluent in international calls and what to dial to call out of a country...do some homework by searching the internet before you leave. If you do contact Amigo be very explicit in your question.

United States | 13 November 2015The overall service did work for texting and calling. I had trouble with some apps and called tech support. First, the number was badly hand written on my paperwork from Amigo. When I called, the man on the other end was just annoyed that I even called and was no help at all. Next time I'll just go with a worldwide plan from my carrier.

United States | 11 November 2015So far so good. Did not like finding out there is a $10 charge to return Sim Card. That should be disclosed in advance, not when you receive card. That leaves me wondering whether there are other hidden costs.

United States | 10 November 2015I used Amigo for a SIM card during my recent travels to Israel. They provided great service and the price was great too.
