Canada | 04 November 2015Phone worked fine. I could not enter contacts

United States | 01 November 2015We ordered SIM cards for our trip to Israel. They were very helpful over the phone and the cards arrived on time with good instructions. We had to cancel the trip at the last minute. They told us to ship them back and we received a credit for everything but the shipping. I would definitely recommend them.

United States | 31 October 2015I have the very best experience with Amigo US. I've made 12 days trip to Israel, and ordered a simple phone to communicate with my family. Cell phone arrived in time with comprehensive flier how to make calls. I had no problems at all - everything worked out without any hitches, and when I came back, I've mailed this phone back without any problems in provided self-return box and sticker. It remains to be seen how expensive my calls were, but this is a second matter. I'm very satisfied.

United States | 29 October 2015Phone worked very well in Israel! Would use it again!

United States | 29 October 2015Renting this phone was a complete waste of money. It turned on but we could not make or receive calls. Luckily we had our own phones from the US that we were able to use - otherwise we would have been in trouble. My entire fee should be refunded.

United States | 28 October 2015Easy, understandable website and signup. Pickup and drop off were quick. And phone service and data in Israeli were great.

United States | 24 October 2015A relative recommended Amigo for renting a phone to use in Israel. It was easy to order the phone through Amigo's website. The phone was shipped to the requested address, in advance, as their e-mail stated. We, unfortunately, had to cancel/postpone our trip, so we boxed-up the phone, and used Amigo's label to return ship the phone. Prompt confirmation of the phone's return was provided by e-mail. Since we did not use that phone in Israel, it is not possible to evaluate the phone's performance in use.

Canada | 22 October 2015I have rented my Israel cell from Amigo more than 10 times in the last decade. It is most convenient to pick it up about 4 miles from my home at an Amigo Agent, and return it there. I have the cell number before I travel and send it to friends and family in Israel by email. Receiving calls is free. Sending calls has a reasonable price, the same for Israel and for North America. There are choices of plans to cover expected use. When I go with my wife, we get two phones so that we can each be as independent as we wish, and find each other. It is all worth the piece of mind.

United States | 21 October 2015Amigo was easy to deal with, and the price was as stated, and reasonable. I'd use them again.

United States | 16 October 2015Unfortunately, I received a SIM card promptly but it never worked on my trip. Amigo tried to say my phone was locked but it wasn't. When Amigo realized it was their fault after talking to my phone company, it was too late to rectify the situation. They didn't give me a hard time about not charging me but it did put a damper on how I had to communicate when I wasn't with someone carrying a working phone.

Canada | 15 October 2015I was very pleased with my recent experience with Amigo. The SIM arrived on time and worked properly. And the price was reasonable. I do have one small recommendation. The Nano SIM had a small sticker on it (indicating the phone number). That tiny sticker made it impossible for me to fit it into my phone (Blackberry Classic) until I removed the sticker. After that I was able to insert it. At the end of my trip, that remaining adhesive made it very difficult for me to remove the tiny tray holding the Nano SIM without a fair bit of prying. This could have turned out badly (but didn't). I strongly recommend an alternative to the sticker. Otherwise, great!

Canada | 14 October 2015I have been using Amigo phone on my anual trips to Israel. I never had any problems with the phone and was happy with the service. . The only concern I have that Amigo does not have an office in Toronto and we end up spending more money on phone deliver and return than on the minuts spend on the phone..

United States | 13 October 2015Overall positive experience. I had a simple phone while my husband had a blackberry (which he does not like). The blackberry broke during our trip not due to anything we did. It was annoying that it broke but they were very accommodating and brought a new one to the apartment where we were staying. It would be nice if they had smartphones.

United States | 12 October 2015Amigo provided us with excellent phone/internet coverage with superb service. We have used them many time and they have never failed us.

United States | 03 October 2015Everything went so smoothly it was amazing. I was able to have Wi-Fi everywhere I traveled in Israel, which made it possible for me to use the Google Maps app to get GPS voice directions. Since this was the first time I'd ever driven outside the USA, having Amigo made it easy.

United States | 03 October 2015My son had the Sim card in his phone and it worked from arrival to departure....no problems. And the cost was reasonable with no surprises. Will use again.

Canada | 02 October 2015I bought a SIM card through Amigo US for Peru and the provider that Amigo partnered up with there was useless. I had full bars with a provider called "movistar" and could not get any internet access on my iphone unless I was at my hotel and hooked up to their wireless network. So essentially the SIM card was of no use to me, which was very unfortunate since I was there for part work. My husband had bought a local SIM card in Peru and he had no problems at all as he was with a larger carrier in Peru. So essentially I paid for unlimited data but had not internet connection through the provider that was partnered with Amigo. I would not use Amigo again as I would not take the chance of this happening again (i.e. perhaps Amigo is only partnering with subpar providers in the local jurisdictions.)

Canada | 01 October 2015I have rented phones from Amigo previously but this time rented a SIM card. It was the easiest part of my trip planning! It is so reassuring to know that I will have a working phone upon landing. Thanks!!

Helen Sullivan,
United States | 22 September 2015I discovered and used Amigo when I went to Israel last year, and just used their phone for my travel to Italy and Ireland last month. I love their customer service. This is a very personable, customer-service oriented company to work with.
