United States | 11 February 2015The phone service was generally fine although the sound could have been better. Ideally, per the pricing, I would have preferred international texting to be free. All in all I was quite pleased and would probably use Amigas again.

United States | 11 February 2015I have rented telephones from Amigo when travelling to Israel for several years. This year, my in-laws were due to go to Israel in February and my wife and I were scheduled to be there for about half the month. We rented basic phones for my in-laws through Amigo, and they arrived on time and have been working well. My wife and I ordered SIM cards for our smart phones. They arrived in plenty of time. Unfortunately, a health issue made it necessary for my wife and I to cancel our trip at the last minute. I phoned Amigo to explain the problem, and they generously offered to cancel the entire bill for the SIM cards. I recommend Amigo to those who are travelling to Israel, without hesitation.

United States | 02 February 2015I recently traveled to Israel and wanted a way to stay in touch with family back home in the US while I was overseas for nine days. I saw great reviews on renting a phone from Amigo from another site so figured I would look into it and give it a try. I had never rented a cell phone to use internationally before so wasn't quite sure what to expect. Their website was extremely easy to use and ordering was a breeze. The cell phone arrived about three or four days later in the mail, along with a charger and international adapter to use. The instructions as to how to use the phone were spot on. The phone had great service everywhere I went during my travels and I was able to stay in contact better than I had ever expected at a more than reasonable cost. When I returned to the US, I simply placed all the contents I had received in a package, slapped on the pre-addressed UPS label Amigo had sent, and dropped it off at the UPS store. The whole process was simple from beginning to end and made my vacation much more enjoyable being able to stay in touch with my family.

United States | 01 February 2015Amigo's customer service was great - I called them a few times and they were always available and happy to help. My phone was ready when I came. It was an old phone, but it worked well and had no problems. Overall my experience was very positive.

United States | 30 January 2015I ordered two blackberries for my husband and I to take with us to our overseas trip, The phones arrived a day after I ordered them. They came with a waist pouch and an adapter that worked overseas. We were very happy with the phones and the service. When we arrived home, all we had to do was put the phones back in a pre-paid envelope and drop it off at a UPS box. I would definitely consider using Amigo again.

Canada | 30 January 2015In general the card was fine - but this has happened before and it is frustrating....When I put the sim card in my phone - I always have to contact customer service because something hasn't been turned on for me to connect to the data package. I lose 1/2 a day before I can connect. Frustrating! Once the problem is fixed I did not have any issues.

United States | 30 January 2015There is often spotty phone coverage, especially in Ramat Beit Shemesh, with frequent dropped calls. The 012 exchange did save the numbers on my rented blackberry. You have to redo the numbers each time you call to get the free service. The phone often used 972 plus the israeli number to place calls I purchased the US number however call forwarding of my number to my israeli cell could not be done in the US. Spoke with Verizon IT support 5 times. Therefore I did not use what I paid for. Would advise that you get a different carrier other than 012 and research the call forwarding issue.

United States | 22 January 2015The phone worked well when it worked and I think I got a good price. Unfortunately a few days before the end of the trip it was not longer able to make either international or local calls, though the texting functionality remained. I tried to email the "contact us" email address but I got a bounce back saying that it was no longer a working email address.

United States | 22 January 2015I highly recommend Amigo. The order process was quick and easy, as was picking up and dropping off the SIM cards. The cards worked great with absolutely no hassle. I got the unlimited plan and enjoyed not having to worry about hidden fees or not knowing the total cost at the end of the trip. Great experience overall.
