United States | 08 February 2022Such a wonderful experience on this boat! My husband and I were in San Francisco for the weekend and decided to take a boat ride and we are SO GLAD we did! Captain Timothy was extremely kind, hospitable, accommodating, and overall a great guy! The boat was VERY clean and essentially had anything you could need to have an amazing relaxing and fun trip. Captain Timothy took us around the Golden Gate Bridge, the Oakland bridge, oracle park, Alcatraz, and other great and amazing views. He also made sure to take photos of us at all the main attractions, which was very appreciated. I would 100% recommend hiring Tim and his boat for your boat needs. We will definitely be taking this boat again when we’re in the area!

We booked through getmyboat.com, prepaid in full, received confirmation, and spoke via phone with the platoon tiki boat owner Dennis to confirm the day before. Dennis, the super owner of the platoon boat, (as labeled by getmyboat.com) canceled on us 2 hours before our scheduled departure, on my husband’s birthday. Dennis knew it was my husband’s birthday and left us with no boat. Dennis has no negative reviews on the getmyboat.com site because you can’t leave an honest negative review if your booking is canceled.

United States | 03 January 2022I initiated and paid for a boat rental with a highly unprofessional individual whose name is Rory. Beware of this person with his unscrupulous business tactics. He will approve the rental even if the boat is being rented by someone else. He texted me early in the morning to let me know the boat I rented was in an accident and threatened me to take what he gives me or based on his rental terms I wouldn't get a refund. This guy was trying to harass me all morning until I blocked his messages. Now I'm fighting for a my refund.

United States | 23 November 2021Worthless...DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!. Booked a boat 5 days in advance. Was Charged for it on my Visa and 10 minutes before the boat was supposed to be delivered while my family and I where waiting at the dock in San Diego was sent an email saying suddenly the boat had bilge problems and the booking was canceled. Inexcusable....he could have called the day before and mentioned it was in the Shop and might not be fixed but choose to apparently wait to 11:20 am on a Sunday to figure this out? I will never use this site again! When I called Get my Boat the next day they said they were sorry for my experience and then hung up on me mid sentence as I explained how unacceptable this was!

We booked a boat in Austin, TX using GetMyBoat and it was the highlight of the trip. The experience was seamless, end to end, with great communication, great prices, and smiling faces all around. The entire group was asking where/how I booked the lake adventure and I was happy to share my discovery of GMB.

United States | 12 October 2021We had a dispute with the boat owner regarding the captain fee which was in addition to the total paid and written in a separate message. We understand it was a communication issue and wanted to work with the owner for a lower captain fee so that we could still use the boat. We offered a lower amount for the captain over the phone and he simply disappeared without replying us or giving a counter offer. Because we booked two days prior to departure we wouldn't be able to get a refund according to the owner's policy. I think this was exactly the reason why there was NO INCENTIVE on the owner's part to help us and resolve the issue. Why would he if he can just pocket the booking fee without having to use the boat? We complained to the platform and the customer service didn't try to understand our perspective and repeatedly sided with the owner. We felt bullied, unappreciated and our trip ruined because of this. DO NOT USE THIS PLATFORM FOR RENTAL.

United States | 23 June 2021So I had 2 servicemen on leave and 3 childhood buddies and all they wanted was a pontoon boat trip. I booked it through getmyboat.com and found **2020 Top Award Best of Get My Boat, AND 2021 Super Owner...Initials BM!! Rented the boat through the app, payment confirmed for June 19, 2021 - perfect! 10 minutes later B himself calls me: "We just booked for that date/time, but we can take you out tomorrow for the same time" I said - It's Father's Day, are you sure? He said yes...it's a brand new boat, too! I was thrilled! It was a sunset trip, 4-8pm but that was ok - we were going! And on Father's Day!! Everything packed, 2:30pm I contact him and say we need the coordinates. At first he acts like he doesn't know what I'm talking about, but I remind him and he quickly snaps back and sends them but says "Well, it will be a little later, like 4:30pm or 4:45 because the first party took too long getting off the rafts. We complained a bit b/c why should that be our fault etc...but agreed it would still work. we were 10 minutes from the doct at around 3:20pm when the first notice - a pre-emptive strike on B’s page came in reading: Upset Customer, not our fault, tried to accommodate etc etc..What??? Then the second notice: BOOKING CANCELLED. He lied about the boat saying it had engine trouble and had to go back, he lied about the previous customers being late then he tried to tell me the app getmyboat.com got the booking wrong and it never got on his calender. Most Importantly: BY CANCELLING my trip - I AM NO LONGER ABLE TO WRITE A REVIEW - so he KEEPS his 5 star rating!!! BUYER BEWARE! The website will not take my calls or respond to emails. STAY AWAY!
