United States | 30 January 2023Very disappointing experience. We were supposed to meet at 1pm. We drove an hour there and had my whole family waiting at the dock. At 1:09 the boat owner cancelled without any explanation! When I called getmyboat.com, all they said was āsorry we will get you a refundā. Very nice and all but it ruined the day for us. How can a boat owner be allowed to cancel AFTER the start time???

I highly recommend owners use GMB to connect them with great customers who just want to have a fun day on the water. The app and website make it so easy.

United States | 30 January 2023I have 2 boats, one is a 27ā Cabin Cruiser and another 38ā Sailboat with a Masterās Capt. License. I have been using GetMyBoat for chartering for about 5 years now and extremely happy with them. They are very professional, reliable, their customer service is always available and very helpful, their service fee is also very reasonable and their payments to me are always on time. They also screen customers for me if there is any faulty credit or previous bad behavior. Iām very happy with their service and highly recommend it to the boat owners as well as customers.

United States | 27 January 2023As a boat owner and provider of my services through the get my boat app. I have to say my interactions with those at get my boat have been far from pleasing. Any concern ever voiced as one of their customers, get responded with arrogance and the angle of, if you donāt like it donāt use the app. Boat setter is where Iāll be posting my boat from now on. Along with utilizing my website. These guys donāt care about boat owners and without boat owners they have nothing. Response to their bogus response: This has nothing to do with any violations. There was only one time that someone requested info that wasnāt allowed and that I wasnāt aware of. You would never suspend an account over 1 violation and that happened years ago. So donāt pretend like thatās what this is about. I can gladly share Dougās arrogant emails today if you would like? I was the number 1 rated/rented boat on GMB on the 2nd largest lake in DFW. Until I PERSONALLY requested to be removed today. This was after Doug the apparent āVP of salesā made multiple comments hinting towards the fact that they can just get rid of me if I donāt like the recent updates. Updates in which do not have boat owners best interest in mind. Concerns have been brought up multiple times about the fact that boat owners are only given the first name of the potential renter. We are expected to blindly put our boats on the water based on a first name. Then you recently added the instant book feature, where boat owners are expected again to put their boats on the water not knowing a thing about the people wanting to rent. Please tell me how that has boat owners and the risk they take in mind? Do you know how many 19-23 year olds wanting to rent my boat to drink and party on it?? Do you really think an instant booking feature is good idea in these scenarios? Absolutely not, but get my boat is only worried about revenue. The entire 3 years Iāve been on the platform change after change is made to create more revenue for themselves and more risk for the boat owner. The features they constantly add gives less info to the boat owner, more risk, and less criteria for renters to be vetted to make sure someone wonāt be in danger. Please share the records you have of my āmultipleā violations and then share my number of rentals, reviews, and top spot when anyone looks for a boat rental on the east side of Dallas. And then Iāll share Dougās emails if you want to put it all out there. What a joke of a company/response. Do better GMB.

The app is extremely easy to use, and the dialogue it initiates between myself and the boat owner is superb and extremely useful. The boats in their inventory can handle any type of trip that I need. The captains of the boats are knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating. They have tailored our trips around what my family likes to do. We will continue to use GetMyBoat for all of our charters.

United States | 11 November 2022Updating my review after receiving a partial resolution from the staff at GetMyBoat. Original experience details: in September of 2021, I used GetMyBoat to book a charter for a group of 10 people to celebrate a birthday. I originally wanted to book a 2-hour trip, but found a third-party listing that offered complimentary use of paddleboards for bookings over 4 hours. So, I booked for 4 hours. Long story short: come the day of our trip, the weather was unfortunately very windy, and when the captains took us out of the harbor, the waves were so choppy and nauseating that we decided to return to the harbor almost immediately which we continued to circle for the rest of our time (about 3 hours). Not sure why we didn't get to enjoy the water or the paddleboats in the harbor, but seems like it may have been a communication issue. After the trip, I attempted to resolve this poor experience where I essentially didn't get what I paid for (over $2,300). I tried first with the third-party boat owner but got nowhere, so then I tried to file a complaint with GetMyBoat after. They told me that I had passed their deadline to submit a complaint, but I didn't even know there was such a short window of time, something like a few days, to submit a complaint. Even though I explained to the rep that I had tried to resolve the issue with the boat owner first which is why I missed their deadline, my conversation went nowhere and eventually they stopped replying to my emails altogether, leaving me feeling frustrated. It wasn't until I posted a review of GetMyBoat here that they took my issue seriously. I appreciate the action they've taken now, but due to my bad experience as well as the difficulties one may encounter with third-party listings on their site, I likely will not use GetMyBoat again in the future.

Any issues Iāve had with renters or prior business partners was remedied quickly and easily. Being able to talk to an actual person when you have an issue is more refreshing than I know how to explain. GetMyBoat, well done.
