United States | 15 July 2024Received this email this morning “Unfortunately, your account was suspended because it looks like you tried to provide a customer with a direct way to contact you” We are a rental business. Customer concerns are a priority. Locking us out of the platform is not good customer care. They did not call me or email me with questions they just locked me out which is aggressive action. I started reading reviews on germyboat and they are NOT very positive. Today’s experience will cause us to leave getmyboat platform and run all our rentals thru boatsetter.com. Getmyboat makes decisions based on what’s best for them at the expense of the customers

When trying to resolve matters through vendor and customer support there was no resolution even with evidence provided on my side. I had to go to resolve issue through my own bank unfortunately. They have no desire to resolve anything as a company. They’re scammers.

United States | 04 July 2024Do not use this company. They’re pretending to be the Airbnb of boat owners. many of their boat owners have old and poorly maintained equipment and you’re gonna get stuck with it if it doesn’t work. go to a reputable boat rental place

United States | 10 June 2024Don’t do it! The lack of communication with the boat owner was terrible. The number to contact get my boat is not legitimate! I’m not convinced this is a legitimate company. Policy states you won’t be hard charged until after your trip, that’s a LIE! I was hard charged and it posted the same day. My trip was canceled by the boat owner at 9pm the night before our trip. I had to reach out to her and it wasn’t until I stated that I would dispute the charge on my cc and she finally responded. She stated her boat got damaged earlier in the day and she was canceling the trip. Then messaged asking when I should expect my refund and of course CRICKETS! So I’m not sure if this fraud or what it is, I tried my best to read reviews and investigate the company but I feel like I’ve been duped.

United States | 09 June 2024Rented charter from GMB for 35th anniversary. Owner did not do as promised and drank with his crew during our celebration. Requested refund from GMB, and they credited my account 50.00 without my permission. My bank would not allow a chargeback after this action. GMB and owner use are dishonest, and event was not as advertised.

United States | 06 June 2024My acocunt was termintated for the 3rd time with zero heads up or communication. I was out on the water, again, picking up a customer when my account was no longer active suspending all communication with customers. I had 8 bookings over the next couple of weeks and after 3 phone calls and 2 emails, I haven't heard a peep. I have had nothing but 5-star reviews and an immaculate customer renting record. This app and its management are sheep. Stay clear.

Without it I’d have to spend a dogs age researching who to trust to book a schedule-limited period on a Holiday Weekend with family from all over the US. It's clear that all involved understand the concept of not getting the most fun out of a cool boat on a beautiful day if the owner and boater can't reliably connect and make a plan. To me that's the worst thing for everyone. Also, it's nice not to have to join a boat club and pay massive initiation dues just to have the privilege of renting. Thanks.
