Visited their showroom in Knoxfield, Melbourne, and found their staff very courteous and helpful. They guided us to select the right product as per our requirements. We installed Looselay Lemon Spotted Gum, and it looks fabulous. Will surely recommend picking a Karndean product.

Purchased Kandean Knight Tile - Grey Riven Slate as the finishing item to a complete kitchen, utility room and hall refurbishment. Had previously purchased Amtico which was brilliant, but went with Kandean. Twelve months in the floor looks like a complete waste of money and detracts from the rest of the refurbished kitchen, as the floor has scratched excessively. Seemingly the floor is not suitable for dogs or light domestic use, which I find so ironic given the dog in their logo and also the appearance of dogs throughout the ideal lifestyle photos in the catalogue. We had a dog in the previous location too, where we used Amtico and had one scratch in 10+ years which was due to me foolishly dragging a heavy item across the floor. What a difference! Kandean's Customer Service says they cannot guarantee against localised scratches or marks as a result of localised accidents, which I can understand, but I wouldn't expect this to extend to normal domestic use. Their resolution is for me to buy their Care Kit and spend the next 10 years constantly treating the floor. My recommendation: don't buy if you have a normal active dog.

We had a bungalow built in 2022 with a large footprint and having had Karndean in our previous home had no hesitation in choose it again for our new home however we have been extremely disappointed with our flooring this time. We bought Van Gough classic oak and had it installed throughout the bungalow and at first it looked absolutely fantastic! However with very light footfall Marks appeared in areas where we mostly walked through the house ie hallway and doorways. It looked as through we had walked through the house with something on our shoes. I contacted my supplier and eventually after many Months and many phone calls and emails an independent rep came to look at my flooring. He was bemused by it and promised a full and comprehensive report would be forwarded to Karndean who would then make full enquiries and testing of the batch. I received a reply saying there was no problem with our flooring and it is a design feature of the product making it look like real wood! “Texture manufactured into the plank which creates the look and feel of natural wood may become more noticeable with different lighting. As you can see from the photographs supplied by our Showroom Team here in Evesham, the same wood grain texture is enhanced in sunlight.” This does not explain why these marks were not initially noticeable and even if this is correct who wants flooring which looks like it’s covered in dirty footprints all the time. My advice :- if you have a sun filled or well lit room avoid this product unless you can live happily with a floor that constantly looks grubby.

Kardean glue fit may be good, but DON’T use the click together product. It costs a lot but within a year the ends came apart. Trying to fix it made it worse. Kardean’s 10 year promise came to nothing, blaming the fitters, the underlay and using a wheelchair on it. Spoken to 4 fitting companies año have all seen the same problems. It’s too thin!

Update 22.08.2024. Chased fitter twice - no news from Karndean. Very disappointed. Will be looking at legal advice inline with Consumer Rights Act. ____________ Spent a small fortune on Karndean luxury flooring for the downstairs of my house. Saved up for a long time, as saw this as an investment piece - it was the final piece of our lengthy home renovation, and I was so excited to get it installed. Within months, the floor was scratched and just looks a mess. We don't wear shoes inside, and all in all - it's a huge disappointment. The fitter has been great, however Karndean came to inspect the flooring and offered us some free cleaner! What a waste of hard earned money and expectations. I had Karndean in my old house and it was fantastic - I will not be buying, or recommending again!

Purchased in June 2022. By February 2024 noticed some planks had surface disintegrating. Fault is in a small area of flooring that has very light usage. No children and no pets. The retailer, who has been superb throughout, visited and thought it was a fault in the planks. He took pictures and sent them to Karndean. They didn't think it necessary to send a representative to see the fault and just decided it was due to wear and tear! After the retailer and I had both contacted Karndean again they sent him a replacement pack of flooring as a gesture of goodwill but this still leaves either me or the retailer to stand the labour costs. After 18 months usage on a high cost item with a "lifetime guarantee" I would have expected more from Karndean

I ordered some free samples. Great that they were free however it said I could order 5 but would only let me add 2 to my cart. Then they only sent one of the samples. It did arrive quickly at least. Last time I ordered samples they didn't arrive at all. It also said I would be sent a confirmation email but I didn't receive anything. There should be more info on the website about the samples like what size they are. It would also be good if you could pay for a bigger sample once narrowed down your choices.
