BUYER BEWARE! Previous owners had karndean flooring installed in a conservatory, 9 years ago, when the house was built. Damaged Chipping Warped Lifting Moving Discoloured Dreadful! I’ve followed Karndean’s warranty process for nearly 6 months now for this flooring that was sold as ‘suitable for conservatories’ and I’ve had the initial flooring company come out and state that this was not as a result of poor installation. I’ve allowed Karndean to come in and examine the floor, even the technician had a view on the poor product, remarking at how bad it was. Today, Karndean deny that there is any issue with their product and deny any product fault, they deny that it is not suitable for conservatories and suggested that my previous home owners actually allowed their dogs to urinate on it, and poor subflooring!!!!!! BUYER BEWARE - this is what you get from their product and their warranty!!! Please please warn your loved ones if they are about to commit their cash to this product!!!

I had Karndean flooring installed. The main selling point for me was the lifetime guarantee. Which I now know to be extremely misleading. The whole floor has discoloured and is covered in scratches, contacted customer services, and the whole process took 3 months of chasing just to be told it is fairware and tear and that it's not covered under the guarantee. On looking at the guarantee, it transpired that there were so many exclusions that it was not worth the paper it was written on. To make matters worse Karndean decided to send the report with pictures of the inside of my house to the original dealer without my contact details, this resulted in my ex-husband, with whom I have no contact, receiving the full report even though I had been chasing Karndean. Had I paid half of what I paid for this truly awful product I would have been more forgiving but the fact it was so expensive when there are a lot more durable floors out there makes it worse. The fitting alone is expensive because it has to be fitted by a specialist whose availability is limited. Karndean also insist you use their "special" cleaning products which cost £50 which is excessive when normal floor cleaning products cost around £2 The reviews on this website are misleading as most of the 5-star reviews are by people who have just ordered samples and not had this flooring fitted. We asked for some samples of flooring to look at for our newly renovated kitchen and Karndean Flooring was only to happy to post us a bunch of samples. Haven't decided yet which one to choose. Thanks a lot.
