We were waiting for something else. It´s is just a walk through the glacier but nothing special. We expected something more exciting. The guide was nice and friendly and the attencion recibed was correct

Our experience with Icelandic Mountain Guides was excellent. The landscape was awesome and the tour guide was really nice and helpful. She showed us spectacular sites and hidden sides of the glaciar. We did our reservation via Internet and everything was OK. We really enjoyed it.

The guide had great English , interesting stories and a well developed sense of humour. The glacier is a great natural phenomenon to visit particularly the ice cave. A brilliant experience.

Booked a self-guided Laugavegur-Trekking-Tour. Booking was easy and friendly. They prepared all I expected. I can highly recommend both, the company and the trail.

If you enjoy thoroughly researching a locale before you visit, this is the trip for you. My father, brother and I voraciously read up on the lore and history of every place we'd be seeing. All we needed then was to get our boots on the ground, smell the air, taste the food, and revel in the actual sights and sounds of South Greenland. Icelandic Mountain Guides took care of all our transportation and lodging needs leaving us free to soak up the experience.

Well organised and good experience

I was holidaying on my own but the group on this guided glacier walk were a great crowd and the guide was so friendly and knowledgeable I'm sure it would have been enjoyable whatever the weather and conditions. As it was we had brilliant sunshine, got to go in an ice cave and spent a long time exploring on the glacier. What more could you want.

We absolutely loved our trip to Iceland, but the highlight was our hike with Icelanding Mountain Guides on the Laugavegur Trek. What made it so amazing was our guide Sigthor who went out of his way to explain Icelandic history and point out the many sites along the way. We could have easily done this hike without a guide, but would have surely missed out on the rich history and information that Sigthor provided. Our overall experience was amazing and we wish other travellers all the best should they choose to sign up for the same trek. Thanks Sigthor!

It was a very special and unique walk around the vulcano eyjafjallajökull in stormy snowy weather in the beginning of july! The second day we had sunny weather and beautiful waterfalls. Our tour guides - Marie and Kata - were excellent, friendly, intelligent and great cooks. We would walk with both till the end of the world...

The guides were helpful, engaging and knowledgeable. The tour was great and the scenery was even better (Iceland.. wow!)

My daughters and I did the Fire and Ice hike and our guide was Willy. We had an amazing day. Our favourite part was the hike in to the warm stream where we enjoyed the warm clear water and the beautiful scenery. The glacier walk was spectacular as well. I have already recommended the Icelandic Mountain Guides to friends planning a trip to Iceland. Thanks to our very knowledgeable guide we got to see places we would not have been able to get to on our own and we learnt a lot and had tons of fun!

We went on a 3 hour glacier walk with IMG on the Sólheimajökull glacier in July 2014. We greatly enjoyed ourselves and were impressed with them. Everyone was friendly and helpful, equipment was good and the attention to safety details was reassuring. The guide was very knowledgeable and we learned a lot about the way glaciers form and evolve and change over time. Again safety and comfort were his first concern and he kept a close eye on us all. It rained briefly but heavily while we were on the ice and he helped arrange for another descending guide to take 2 inadequately dressed tourists straight back down to the parking area.

These guys know their stuff, and they know how to lead an entertaining, fun, and educational guided tour. My wife and I usually aren't up for guided tours as we like to stay away from crowds and "off the grid", but we did this on the recommendation of a friend here in Colorado. It isn't the most extreme excursion, but it was incredible to be on the glacier, covering so much ground in such an awesome environment. The guide we had for our 1/2 day tour was knowledgeable, friendly, and super helpful. It was one of the coolest things we did in Iceland and I'd recommend it to anyone!

They ran 2 groups, one group with 8 people, the other with 16. The group with 16 had a wide range of abilities, and was too large for one guide to handle effectively. They would not allow some from the larger group to walk with the smaller group, creating some frustrations. They should've combined it into a single large group with a lead and sweep

An aesthetic adventure with great food and conversation

Well organised event. The route well chosen and arrangements were very good. Tom the guide was very good looking after the group, approachable and handled the party and its objectives well.Highly recommended

We enjoyed our three hour trip to the glacier with Icelandic mountain guides. Our criticism would be that the group was larger than advertised. This meant a lot of time taken up setting everyone up with equipment. There was a long hike to the glacier as the original route was too dangerous and due to the varied ability of the group some members were not able enough for the trip and too slow at walking up to the glacier over difficult terrain. This then limited the time and activities on the glacier. I am not sure it was worth the money for the limited time we had on the glacier. However the guide was interesting and informative.

We absolutely loved our half-day glacier tour. Our guide was knowledgeable and informative, and kept us safe at all times. We would highly recommend Icelandic Mountain Guides.

Despite the howling rain, we had an incredible Glacier tour and felt privilaged to have had the "white giant" guiding us. The knowledge shared made the day. We will be returning next year and will be booking again.
