3rd time to use homeward legal. Has been happy with the service provided, especially the no completion no fee policy. Paid the deposit 3 years ago for the sale but it didn’t go ahead. Finally got an offer for the sale and successfully recovered the deposit. Also the solicitor fee is competitive compared with high street piece. Overall, highly recommended

I filled out an online form for a conveyancing quote for purchase of a property. I received a call the following day from a man who seemed enthusiastic. I decided to use Homeward Legal. Here's what happened... In spite of being assured otherwise, I learnt that the first solicitor I was introduced to did not work with my mortgage provider. The second solicitor had informed Homeward Legal the previous week that they were no longer taking new clients. I was informed by Homeward Legal that I could not have a refund because searches had already been ordered. After many telephone calls, I was refunded. I must add that the person who organised the refund was highly knowledgeable, kind and patient. This is in contrast to the incompetent, argumentative people I spoke to prior to that. Conveyancing is complex enough, without adding additional problems before the process even begins. I note that all negative reviews have the following cut and paste response: "Please be assured that our customer’s satisfaction and confidence in our service is of the utmost importance to us." I do not believe this for a moment. Also, the apostrophe should be after the s.

Told only needed to pay a deposit and nothing til completion. Passed to another company who want another deposit, also quote not accurate as charges differed. Will go with a local solicitor instead.
