Absolutely rip off 😢 and wanted to steal my money of £600. Contacted with them so many times for my refund of £600, but they didn't solve my problem at all. Luckily PayPal fought for Me and got my refund back. Very bad customer service 😑 and Highly disappointed 😞.

It is a number of years since I’ve flown with Etihad and wow! it has changed. It’s gone from a premium carrier to no more than a budget money grabbing long haul Ryan air asking you to pay for things like pre booked seats that were always free. Many of the aircraft are “tired” with temperamental equipment such as lcd touch screens that don’t work. In economy the seats are cramped with enough legroom only for children under the age of 10. If the person in front reclines their seat you have no alternative than to recline yours as they are in your face. Can’t complain about the staff onboard as they do the best they can with what’s provided. Out of 4 pieces of checked in luggage 2 had minor damage and 1 damaged beyond repair which is just negligence. Reported damage to customer (non) service who batted it off with “acceptable minor damage”. Yes maybe to 1 item it’s acceptable but not 3 out of 4. You only got 2 stars as the staff onboard were pleasant otherwise -1

Thieves! Dishonest and misleading on purpose. Ethiad Stole $3600 USD/ $5000 AUD. They actively cancelled my flights in 2023 and refunded the flight credit balance into expired travel bank without my permission. They then said because the travel bank was expired I could not use the credit. After Many Complaints and calls unanswered for months. Ethiad has been dishones,manipulative and misleading. If you had a similar experience please share details or get in touch. Calling Australians for evidence to take to ACCC oconnelm1 at gmail.com Beware of this airline. Fly someone else!

Sono 12 giorni che chiedo aiuto perché il sito non funziona e devo terminare la mia richiesta di rimborso per il bagaglio che mi è stato danneggiato in viaggio. Ogni giorno contatto l’assistenza e vengo presa in giro invece di ricevere un aiuto concreto per risolvere il problema. Sono veramente delusa e amareggiata.

I have had the worst experience imaginable with etihad, shockingly worse than budget airlines such as Ryanair. I am trying to book flights on thier website and it would not go through after trying multiple cards. I contacted the airline chat as this is the only option available. After three different occasions I received no reason or help to book these. I then got my brother in law to try as he lives elsewhere and is part of a different bank. The flights then went through and I seen them on my account for 5 minutes then they disappeared, I received no confirmation email and the payment is still pending 7 days later. Again, I contacted ethihad and received no help only that they have no booking for me. The have told me I should receive a refund after 7-15 days which I do not see happening with my experience so far. I asked what happens if I do not revive the refund they told me they’d advise but cannot simply refund me, the bank can only help as the merchant has to cancel the pending transaction. The issue is I am traveling in less than two months and now I have no flights and cannot risk rebooking incase the original booking somehow comes through. I have never booked with etihad as usually I book emirates and will return to booking emirates in the future. Please do not risk booking with etihad.

Unbelievable shocking service and I wished I had just paid the extra to go with a proper airline. I have tried for weeks now to book a return flight from Heathrow to Osaka with the Unaccompanied Minor Service; 3 weeks, 17 calls and now less than 20 days before my child is supposed to fly half way around the world, I have flights on the wrong dates and no confirmed unaccompanied minor service. I keep being promised call backs which never come, being told supervisors are looking into it and I should "not worry" (which in itself I find highly inappropriate when, a company who can't even book a simple flight or follow through on a single thing they tell you, I am supposed to trust fly my only child half way across the world, with a stop over). I have just spent over 2 hours on the phone with yet another supervisor, who has repeatedly called me an idiot, told me the issues are my fault and then hung up on me!! I am beyond frustrated. They're customer agents blatantly lie over the phone to you, they manage to conveniently "loose" the recorded calls, there is apparently no way to raise a complaint prior to your trip and I am going to end up paying 4 times for one return flight because of their mistakes. I am accepting the financial costs as a lesson learnt and my child will be flying with a more competent airline.

as my personal experience, they are cancel my return flight without any information and it is very unprofessional when I call them please send email to me or third-party so I can refund my cancellation fees but they did not send email and third-party. Send email for refund, they still did not reply to them. Also, I think if you not improve your customer service, so people are avoiding your airlines and I am writing as per my own experience.

Esperienza negativissima, compagnia non seria e non affidabile, mi hanno riconosciuto il rimborso di un volo ma questo rimborso non è mai arrivato sul mio c/c, dopo tantissime telefonate e solleciti ad oggi non ho ricevuto nemmeno 1 euro; in cambio solo prese in giro. L'unica soluzione è quella di rivolgermi al mio legale.

I contacted their customer care to resolve an urgent matter and they finally responded to me '01 month' after my flight landed and failed to provide me a solution ! Don't be fooled by their ads featuring glamorous celebs - this is an overhyped airline with terrible service , no compassion and care for the passengers . AVOID !

I usually refrain from sharing negative experiences publicly, but the ordeal my brother and I endured with Etihad Airways has compelled me to share our story in hopes that future travelers might avoid similar frustrations. I will try to summarize what happened being as neutral as I can. I had booked a flight for me and my brother with Etihad Airways, intending to travel from Geneva to Tokyo. This was my gift for his bachelor's degree. Unfortunately, our original booking was rescheduled, prompting us to change our flight to align with our initial plans, considering our pre-booked hotels and strict itinerary. Our woes began when, after contacting Etihad’s live chat service to change our flights, the representative only modified my ticket and canceled my brother's, despite both being under the same booking reference. This error was discovered only on the day of travel, causing immense distress and inconvenience. Our attempts to resolve this with Etihad's customer service on the morning of the incident at 5 a.m. were futile. We were met with long hold times, miscommunication, and ultimately, no immediate solution, forcing me to travel alone and my brother to remain stranded in an unfamiliar city. To further complicate matters, we were strongly advised by customer service and, - since we didn't have any other option - forced to purchase an additional last-minute ticket for my brother due to the unavailability of his original reservation, incurring unnecessary expenses. Five months have now passed since this incident, and despite our numerous attempts to seek a fair resolution and reimbursement for the additional expenses incurred, we continue to face delays. Our case is alleged “still under investigation”, with no definitive conclusion. Our experience with Etihad Airways has been marked by a lack of accountability, inadequate customer service, and a disregard for the inconvenience and distress caused to passengers. Prospective travelers should be wary and consider our ordeal before choosing to fly with Etihad, particularly when alternatives are available. We had hoped for a swift and fair resolution from an airline of Etihad’s repute but have been left disillusioned and frustrated by the ongoing lack of response and resolution. I am extremely disappointed.

Terrible food in planes makes you feel sick and no variety you get what you’re given, the hostesses were rude didn’t give a crap on all 4 planes we went on. They served drinks once on a 10hd flight and didn’t see the hostesses at all!!!!! They don’t give a care unless you are 1st class and you get treated like crap.

Read reviews from previous customers regarding this airline and a lot mention flight cancellation I wish they had cancelled my flight from Manchester to Phuket and return as it was the worst flights I had the misfortune to fly, the food was disgusting chicken and rice and that's it no alternative!, seats were the most uncomfortable I have endured, the return flight was no better, the cabin crew were allocating the meals and we heard them informing passengers of the options,great we thought we may get to eat something but when they got to us only chicken and rice were left!!, and once again the most uncomfortable seats you can imagine , we will never never fly Etihad again in fact it spoiled the holiday as we were dreading the return flight home, if you like chicken and rice and having a sore backside for seventeen hours book Etihad you won't be disappointed

Worst experience with Etihad today. I got multiple emails saying that i upgraded to Business Class. In fact, i was at HYD airport they informed me that my ticket was upgraded to Business Class.. after seconds they waited for 2 hours and they said its canceled again. What a stupid company these guys are running.. What the hell they are doing until the last minute.. I was prepared from home the i upgraded to Business Class and what a disappointment. They studied me for an 2 hours and they said they can not do anything. I ended up paying more for my luggage and ended up sitting in Economy class. ETIHAD is the STUPID airline and the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! I am not going to travel with Etihad

I am a gold member, flying with Etihad regularly, several times every month. My car broke down on my way to Heathrow and I called customer service to change the time of my flight, more than two hours before departure. Although in the website it clearly said that I am eligible for a change/refund, after several attempts to get hold of a customer representative over the phone, I was informed that I could only change/refund my ticket up to 24 hours before departure. This information is not mentioned anywhere in the website. The customer service is the worse I have encountered in the many years I travel worldwide. What a dishonest way to treat Etihad Guests!

Booked a flight on 6th July 2023. to fly on 16th July 2023. the flight had a very long layover. So I called their customer service to enquire about the options. they cancelled my flight.

Booked because of their ‘stopover on us’ promotion promising accommodation in Abu Dhabi. Thought it would be a good option to break up our trip from Europe to Bangkok. Booked in June for flights in October and guess what. No hotels available. Called and was told it was too early and to check again a month prior. Checked every week from June to end of September and nothing. Called again, was told to email, had to follow up multiple times as no reply. Eventually get a one line answer saying no hotels available. The promotion is a total SCAM! Avoid this airline.

Wir buchten letztes Jahr über Seat 24, 2 Flüge incl. Sitzplatzreservierungen für 1. Oktober 2023 von München nach Mahe. Wir mussten auch gleich 1800 Euro dafür bezahlen. Wir buchten dann für 3 verschiedene Inseln die Hotels in diesem Zeitraum. Im Juni 2023 erhielten wir eine Mail, dass Etihad den Flug storniert hat und erst ab 4. Oktober fliegt. Wir können zeitlich nicht verschieben und haben ohne hohe Stornierungsgebühren für Hotels, etc. Nun überwies die Reiseagentur lediglich 1400 Euro mit der Begründung die Fluggesellschaft hätte nicht mehr bezahlt. Etihad verweist darauf, dass wir uns an die Agentur wenden sollen. Diese behauptet aber, seitens Etihad die fehlenden 400 Euro nicht erhalten zu haben. Wir werden den Fall einem Anwalt übergeben, da es nicht sein kann, dass eine Fluggesellschaft monatelang mit dem von mir überwiesenen Geld arbeitet, dann einfach die angebotenen Flüge storniert und nicht alle Kosten zurückerstattet. Schließlich bezahlten wir für Leistungen, die wir nie erhalten haben, da sie nicht angeboten werden. So etwas nennt man Abzocke und ich kann nur JEDEM empfehlen, bei einer anderen Fluggesellschaft zu buchen.

Compagnia che è scesa di livello dopo la pandemia. Viaggiato in premium economy senza nessun vantaggio, sedile sfondato, staff non si prende carico delle richieste del passeggero, cibo orribile. Sono membro Silver ma non penso viaggiare più con questa compagnia.

Absolute HORRENDOUS service. I would put NEGATIVE 100 stars if there was an option. Cancelled my return flight. I understand that there might be problems, but when u cancel a flight, you re-schedule a flight to a different date or something. But here, NOTHING, just an email, “your flight has been cancelled”. Are you kidding me? Is this a joke? People book a ticket wayyy in advance to be assured that their trips are well planned, and here they don’t even have the audacity to even reschedule the flight. ABSOLUTE JOKE of an airline! Never in my entire life, my family or I, will be booking a flight with this joke of an airline. Please everyone refrain as much as possible from etihad, they will just ruin your vacation or worst, your important work, just because they feel like doing anything they want. Absolutely disgusted! 🤮

I bought 2 tickets to India with etihad and last week because of the of the government disputes and allegations going on Indias government decided not to give visa to Canadian citizens. So now without a visa how can I travel I had already submitted the visa for processing and filled fees and India government received it as it was evisa and now when I have no way out I called etihad to either give me a credit, change the tickets to later date or even just cancel the tickets with surcharges they take out .... but they are not willing to do anything refund is far options and they could've atleast givein me credit voucher but still they decided not to and here I'm stuck with 2 tickets going and coming back from India gone to waste. Never ever going to take this airlines the worst customers service experience I have ever had.
