United Kingdom | 05 January 2025Poor instructions for drop off led us to incurring additional charges. We booked their meet and greet service for Heathrow airport. Upon booking we received instructions to follow the terminal meet and greet signs, and were provided with a what 3 words location. We followed these to a fork in the entrance to the terminal - one was signposted meet and greet whilst the other was short stay. Naturally we followed the sign to meet and greet as this is what the instructions said. After calling to understand why no one was there, we were told to enter the short stay car park. But seeing as we'd already entered the meet and greet section we had to pay the meet and greet parking charge of £6. After that the process went smoothly, and the attendant was polite. It's just a shame the email instructions aren't clear enough to avoid additional charges

United Kingdom | 04 January 2025Drop off point was easily found, close to the terminal, with efficient and courteous check in staff. Courtesy bus came within minutes and rapidly took us to the terminal. We had to change our flight on the way back and the Help Line was very helpful in arranging a new pick up time. The car was waiting for us when we returned-much later than originally booked. A First Class experience!

After years of Maple use, this was the last straw after numerous issues over the last handful of bookings.

United Kingdom | 03 January 2025We stayed at the Soffitel LGW North, as part of a HolidayExtras package. The parking area is a bit of an awkward walk, and not in the parking area outside the hotel that we'd expected. However, it wasn't far and the daylight made it easier. We didn't expect the additional £6 drop-off levy imposed by the airport just to drive there though. Car dropped off, holiday enjoyed, and car in one piece when we ready for us on our return, so all went smoothly until then. A warning light on the dash alarmed us, btu we figured there was little we could do about it. WRONG! We should have noted it to parking staff. Instead, we drove out and took it to the garage at the earliest convenience, as we arrived on a bank holiday. Turns out that some wires had been chewed by rodents whilst it was parked, and we're liable for the nearly £400 repair! We have asked HolidayExtras to advise Maple that they have a rodent problem, in case they didn't already know. Overall, some staff didn't come across as "happy" but the general experience was good.

United Kingdom | 03 January 2025Heathrow meet and greet. Maple parking - purple parking Take my advice on board and do not parking your car here. They really are useless, I’m never one to normally complain, however I don’t like to be ripped off! And it’s heart breaking to see it happen to other family’s. We arrived to Heathrow meet and greet on 25th December, dropped our car off was told thank you, see you soon. Perfect! To then arrive back to collect our car on the 3rd of January to be told our car is know longer here. We was informed by one of Maple parking/purple parking team member, that our car was dropped off at the wrong location. (Our own fault, we had know clue know one told us, and we can’t read minds). We were very shocked by this as know one told us! We had to pay extra there and then. With know choose otherwise we would not get our car back. We had already paid for our parking months ago! To be told we had to then pay again was outrages! (When we arrived on the 25th December if they would of been honest, with us and explained that we was in the wrong place and would have to pay extra, we would of just paid it to save the stress of parking up again). It’s the not informing us, that we are not happy about. It’s very clear that it’s just an excuse to get more money out of you. As well as the wait in the freezing cold for 40 mins for our car to arrive. (Which btw they told us it was 6 minutes away). Why did it then take them 40 minutes, honestly the way they treat people is very disrespectful, you have know choose to pay whatever they want you to pay on the day. You have know choose to wait 40 minutes, you have know choose because they have the keys to your car. So bear this in mind if you do choose to go with them, you’ll get ripped off somehow. This became very clear to us when we had our 40 minute wait, 2/3 couples / families were also having other issues. Cars not turning up after they had been informed it was dropped off that morning! We over heard another family’s complaining there luggage had been lost, they had already been to Maple parking/purple parking to inform that they might end up being late. (Luckily they wasn’t and was smart enough to extend there parking incase of situations occurring like this). However, Maple parking/purple parking had other ideas, and put them down for late arrival. And took there car away, meaning they would be charged for extra time which made no sense, when they wasn’t late even after the delay of there luggage the parking was still vailed. (They also had proof of the time on the email). But they had to wait with three young child in the cold for their car to show up. Again, it doesn’t matter (Maple parking/purple parking) have your keys, you have know choose but to pay whatever they expect. I don’t understand how they are running a business, it’s extremely upsetting and stressful especially after a long flight. Just book a taxi or get the train, or go park your car with a trusted car parking company. I will be reading reviews the next time I put the trust of my keys into someone else’s hands!
