An unusual set of coincidences occurred, an extra Bank holiday for the Coronation and a mistake by the courier meant the hamper couldn't be delivered on the correct day. The recipient was also not at the delivery address after the original date was missed. However due to the proactive involvement of Steve at customer services in liaising with all parties a satisfactory delivery was made.

In a word: Steve. He understood my disappointment at the non-delivery by DPD to my elderly relatives in a block of flats for their 60th wedding anniversary. DPD basically had not tried hard enough. So he wrote to them on my behalf. Purley because of this I'm sure, the hamper was delivered to them and was such an uplift for them. He even followed it up with an email when it was delivered and a 20% voucher discount for the next order! Full mark to Steve zero to DPD
