United States | 24 February 2024My wife, friend, and I had no service for most of a day. Since neither my wife or I had service, neither one of us could call customer service. I tried using their "live" chat service to chat with someone about the issue, but after waiting for 30 minutes for a human to join the chat, the chat timed out and disconnected me, saying I had been inactive too long. This happened a few times until I gave up. Later my friend, who also has Red Pocket, texted asking me to call, saying his phone wasn't working right. So apparently he was also having the same issue. And yes, we tried restarting our phones... Their customer service is horrible. It was so frustrating getting our phones activated through Red Pocket. But I figured once that process was done then it would be worth it as long as we didn't have to deal with customer service. Now it is not feeling like it's worth it anymore.

Hats off to Ronald, keep up the good job , he is more helpful and customer oriented.

United States | 24 February 2024I purchased the first month of a service plan with Red Pocket Mobile. They charged my credit card immediately (as expected), and then I received an email stating my SIM card had been shipped with a tracking #. That's where the simplicity ended. The tracking # provided was with a 3rd party vendor using USPS... so I could not use the tracking # provided to me on the USPS website, and could not track the delivery. The initial email did not have a delivery date, and I never received another email with any updates. After about 10 days, I still had not received my SIM card. I called customer support after getting stuck in a loop with the chat bot, and did receive a representative almost immediately. However, the quality of the call was HORRIBLE. I could barely hear the representative, and constantly had to ask them to repeat themselves. I also had to constantly repeat myself, as the representative kept asking me questions that I had already provided the answer to. It did not seem like they understood what my issue was - checking on the status of my SIM card shipment. I was put on hold for long periods of time, and finally after an hour on the phone the representative stated they would just send another SIM card. (Why didn't they just do that at the very beginning of the call?) I received my SIM card in the mail two weeks after it was postmarked, and then the next day the second SIM card arrived. However, while I was waiting for my SIM card to arrive I looked into other carriers and decided to go with another company. Their SIM card arrived in 4 days, on the same day as Red Pocket Mobile's. I never did activated service with Red Pocket, and am dreading the call to try and get a refund for service I never activated. ***** Update 2/24/24: A customer service representative from Red Pocket Mobile contacted me yesterday, inquiring if I had received my SIM card as it had not yet been activated. I explained all that had happened and that I had decided to go with another carrier. They immediately agreed to refund the payment for the 1st month's service and apologized for the trouble. This call went much better, and as a result I will keep the SIM card just in case I'm not happy with the carrier I chose. As a result of their follow-up, I'm upgrading my review from 2 to 3 stars. I get the impression that overall they're a good company, but in this case first impressions resulted in me going elsewhere.

United States | 23 February 2024They are a complete joke. I now have complaints with FCC and BBB. They don’t bother to tell you that the data on the app is not accurate. Actually they don’t bother to update it for days. So you think you have data until they send you a notification that you have no data and need to buy more. As soon as I call them to complain the data is miraculously updated. I believe this is probably illegal. Now I have not received the rebate gift card that was promised when i committed to purchase a phone and plan. Just spent 50 minutes on phone and have no assurances that I will receive the card. So frustrating. Nothing but problems with Redpocket. Seems they aren’t based in US so not sure if that’s how they get away with this crap. I need to wait 12 months before dropping service as they will not unlock the phone without waiting 12 months if service. Can’t wait to change provider.

The agent, her named is CS Leslie, is super patient to guide me how to walkthrough the set-up. I finally success to call and send a message on phone. Redpocket shows that they really care for their customers.

We forgot to renew our annual plan on one of our phones and he was able to restore the phone line (re-port the number) and activate a quick 1Month plan to get things moving again! Fantastic support!
