United States | 11 January 2024Red Pocket as a company offered a great option for what we needed - a low cost option for a "home phone" that wasn't a land line. We had good coverage and it was very reasonable priced. As our usage needs changed, we decided to port our number to a different provider, which was a challenge to say the least. According to the new provider this was a recent change with their interactions with Red Pocket, so hopefully I just encountered a limited issue. I spent hours between phone and chat trying to get my number ported over the timespan of three days, to no avail. I finally reached out to support again and was connected with a rep named Leslie. Leslie was the first rep to be able to fully help and resolve my problem. She was empathetic, yet still stuck to her CS guns by asking if there was anything that could be done to keep me as a customer. Leslie's help could likely have kept me if she was the first one I'd been in contact with, and I hope other reps can learn from her example.

United States | 11 January 2024I have been a loyal Red Pocket Mobile customer for nearly five years, but my recent encounter has left me seething with frustration and disappointment. On January 2nd, I was hit with an inexplicable charge, nearly tripling my usual monthly bill (30$ + taxes turned into a whopping 90$). When I contacted customer support seeking an explanation, the agent claimed they couldn't see the charge and suggested I contact my bank to file a dispute. Following their advice promptly resulted in the suspension of my mobile line and a cheeky email from Red Pocket's Billing Department, urging me to cancel my dispute to reactivate my service. Unbelievable. My attempt to reason with Leonard, another support agent, was an exercise in futility. To my dismay, I discovered that the only way to reactivate my line was by canceling my dispute. What's truly disheartening is the lack of empathy and assistance from Red Pocket's customer support team. Not a single agent bothered to offer an apology or take any meaningful steps to resolve the problem. As it stands, I am still overcharged and without mobile service. Disappointed and Dissatisfied

United States | 10 January 2024I thought red pocket was great. Until I tried to cancel my mom's account after she lost her phone. I canceled with support chat Dec 15 and they assured me it was canceled. I questioned why I didn't get a confirmation email and they assured me I could take a screen shot of chat. A month later they were still billing me. Emailing support did no good. Had to call and was put on hold twice for over an HOUR!. Then was told the cancellation had to be escalated to be approved. They make it as absolutely difficult as possible to cancel. Don't use them unless you want to continue to get charged... forever.

United States | 09 January 2024This company is garbage. Their customer service is one of the least helpful one can experience. You must call during certain times and be able to deal with someone who speaks limited English. Their system somehow connected my number to someone else's credit card so they deactivated a phone number I've had for 20 years and is associated with everything I've created since then. The service is also mediocre. The internet is slow. Just not worth it. There are many other companies I'd try before this on.

United States | 09 January 2024Referred friends to red pocket. Red pocket states they pay $25 per referral. Only one friend stayed 30 days. Never got my $25 credit. First stated I didn't earn it, argued with them over the phone for hours in April-May 2023. Then in August their support team sent me an email that I was entitled to the $25 and it would appear on my next statement. In December 2023 it does appear on my account but Red Pocket will not give it to me. I also have a $10 credit on my account and Red Pocket will not give that to me either. Their CS is awful. They send you emails that they will respond within 24-48 hours multiple times. It NEVER happened!!!! Finally turned them into the FCC and FTC. I hope they get fined hundreds of thousands of dollars. Talked to an Attorney about legal action against them. Had problems with telling me my data was used up when in fact I had not used it for that month.

United States | 08 January 2024Setting up autopay is an exercise in futility. I have two devices, and calling red pocket to set up autopay on both of them is one of the most aggravating tasks I’ve ever had to do. Red pocket doesn’t handle the auto pay portion of their service, and gives you another number to call. Upon calling that number, the people on the other end of the line have no clue how to go about setting up autopay. They will run you in circles, having you call red pocket, only to be redirected to call other numbers. Eventually, yes, they will get it set up, but forget about ever changing your payment method, afterwards. This has happened to me with both of my devices (mobile hotspots purchased through red pocket), on two separate occasions. The biggest issue is the outsourced call centers they use, with representatives from hat speak little to no English. They simply don’t understand what you are asking them. The hotspot service is less than stellar, with extremely slow connections and weak signal from the carriers. This is in two different states, with two different hotspots…. I use these hotspots only to connect a few wifi smart plugs, so the speed of the connection isn’t crucial, but these hotspots refuse to even work for that, more often than not. I’d look elsewhere, if you want a reliable hotspot.

United States | 07 January 2024I got Red Pocket with a monthly plan multiple times for my parents, when they visit me in the US. Easy to set up and works great. Only complaint is, that I can't cancel the plan online. Have to get in the chat every time.

United States | 07 January 2024I was struggling to port over a number, from one Red Pocket plan/account to another. I attempted to do so, with customer support on the phone to help me out, but it bounced back with "required information being missing or entered incorrectly." I'm not sure if this was their fault or mine. However, upon contacting customer support via the website's live chat feature, they were able to effortlessly fix the issue. I explained the issue, and gave them the credentials they asked for (name, phone number, home address, and email), and soon after, the port-in was resolved. They were also nice during the process. All in all, the Red Pocket experience may be a challenge to do all on your own, but customer support will help you.
