Recently sold my house through Stirling Ackroyd. Mark (Englefield Green) and Ben (Egham) did a great job. They use a professional photographer and put a lot of effort into getting to know the house. I really valued Mark's advice throughout the process.

The worst people to have a tenancy with, I have faced issues head on and had nothing but pain when they ignored my concerns. Ended up stuck in the worst tenancy ever where i feared for my safety

Excellent!!! I put my house up for sale on Saturday and it was sold on the following Tuesday! The Egham Branch guys are excellent. They were knowledgable, professional and were just simply great. I cannot recommend enough. If you’re looking for excellent service and some great salesmanship then these are your guys!! James and Ben are a real asset to the team.

If I could give zero stars I would Awful awful people Totally non responsive and unprofessional They agreed on a flat price then as soon as I signed up with them started threatening me that they won’t do viewings until I reduce the price! Their phones didn’t work for weeks then they took my Property offline on key websites When I queried no one came back to me for weeks!!! DO NOT hand over your property to these people!

David gave a fabulous Survey on our potential property and called me before his appointment there and afterwards to give me a brief breakdown of his findings and asked me to contact him on his direct number should I have any further questions or queries about the property and the report (which I did take up the opportunity and was extremely happy with his response). I recently completed my flat sale with Stirling Ackroyd in Guildford and I am very happy with the support that Martin, Jack, Sandra and Brian provided through the 3 month process. I agreed to sell my flat for under asking but to a buyer they recommended who was serious about buying and wanted to move quickly. I agree this recommendation was the right one. The team are very experienced and went above and beyond to help me at points as I live a few hours away. I really recommend using them and would not hesitate in using them again.

A Successful Let with Stirling Ackroyd !! I put a house on the market, in Twickenham, to rent in December 2024, that I thought would be a difficult time to find a new tenant. Thanks to the good work of Honor Clements and the Team at Stirling Ackroyd, I had a firm offer at the full asking price in less than a week. I now have professional tenants in my house and am looking forward to a long term tenancy. The Team at Stirling Ackroyd were friendly, personable, efficient and good to get along with and have excellent local knowledge. I will use them again and can recommend them

AVOID! No communication! I have had an awful experience with Stirling Ackroyd Streatham, they do not respond to emails, promise to callback and you don't hear anything. I asked for a formal complaint to be raised which they ignored until I chased them for it, they asked if they had resolved the complaint (after doing nothing) I confirmed it was not resolved and should have heard back within 3 days this was nearly a month ago. I would never use them or recommend using them the treatment you will receive is appalling.

I rented a property through Stirling Ackroyd for 3 years which they also managed. I would recommend against anyone using them if avoidable. Throughout our tenancy, they ignored issues such as flooding from flats above and rectifying water damage as well as addressing persistent issues with damp (even as we did everything we could to combat it). They also failed on multiple occasions to share updated entry codes to the building for days after update, often leaving us unable to gain access to the building without support from our neighbours. Finally, on moving out over the summer, the flat was cleaned to the same standard we received it in yet we were charged for a further professional clean as the landlords wanted to do works to the property in between lets (I live nearby and could see it was occupied by the landlords due to lights being on late into the evening - Stirling ackroyd allowed them to keep the flat in a pretty shoddy state, including doing very amateur painting jobs and repair). They also tried to leave utilities and council tax in our name in the two week interim between lets - I had to call to each utility and the council to rectify this. The council mentioned this was on the request of the property owner. A terrible service, would recommend pretty much any other estate agent over them.

I would not recommend this firm. My experience as a landlord with the lettings section in Woking/West Byfleet was extremely unsatisfactory. They did not follow instructions, were slow, inefficient, failed to give timely or (at times) any advice, and even now are not following their own complaints procedures! A very frustrating experience. I do appreciate customer care responding to this review but I have already been in contact with customer care and we are now moving onto a formal complaint to the Property Ombudsman. Stirling Ackroyd were responsible for my property for 7 months only (they took over my appointed letting agents) but in that time it was just a catalogue of inefficiencies, ignoring instructions and just general hopeless managing skills on their part. I would NEVER, NEVER, NEVER recommend this firm for anything.
