First of all, best mattress we’ve ever had! I’ve waited several months before writing this review, but still the mattress is absolutely superb, soft but supportive. My partner is a lot lighter than me, has back shoulder and hip problems especially after having our two kids, and she says it’s the best bed she’s ever slept in, and she now gets a full nights sleep. The ordering process was superb, ordered and paid online but the next day John Ryan contacted us to discuss and confirm the order, gave us measurements to check for access as we had ordered a super king size, this was confirmed and then the delivery date confirmed. Delivery was on the agreed date and time, all was no fuss and straight forward. Bed was assembled and old mattress taken away.

Having bought a mattress in the past from JohnRyan we knew about long lasting good quality. Great customer service phone call with good advice. Easy online ordering. Delivery was on time, pleasant helpful team, prepared to take all packaging away. Mattress very comfortable as expected. So far so good!

Superb custom service and product

I had a great initial "consultation" with someone who really knew his stuff. He spent a long time helping me to decide what would be the right choice mattress for me and my wife. The result was outstanding. The mattress arrived sooner than predicted and is beyond what we hoped for, so comfortable and feeling like real quality. Thank you John Ryan and all concerned.

I purchased our John Ryan by Design Artisan Naturals Super King Mattress in April 2019 for the not inconsiderable sum of £1363.50 (and that was for a graded mattress), with the expectation that it would provide many years of comfortable sleep. Despite being turned and rotated regularly, the mattress has sagged significantly so we have bought an alternative this week, less than four years from purchase. During the sales and delivery process John Ryan were very friendly and helpful, but it's very clear from our own experience and the responses to every other review reporting that the mattress has sagged is met with the same 'they all do that Sir', so I'm putting my review out there in the hope that it helps one or two others considering such a significant investment to think otherwise. Our previous mattress provided 12 years of trouble-free and comfortable service before needing replacement so my advice would be to think very carefully before buying one of these products if your expectation is to enjoy many, many years of comfortable and issue-free sleep. I actually feel quite naive for spending so much on something in the belief that it would deliver a much better experience than has proved to the the case - especially over such a short timeframe in the supposed life-span of a premium product.

The detailed information on the website combined with good verbal assistance prior to the order being placed made our mattress selection and subsequent order a straightforward experience. The mattress was delivered within the timescale provided at time of order, but the delivery process was not good, with the original date provided being missed by three or four days. In addition the standard of the delivery was not in accord with that stated on the manufacturer's and their courier's website - no white gloves and no attempt made to remove packaging for mattress inspection prior to departure. Having removed and disposed of the packaging ourselves the mattress was undamaged and it looked and felt like a quality product. The delivery experience was not what was expected and was disappointing when compared with our earlier dealings with the manufacturer. We are currently still reviewing the mattress within the 60 day period allowed.

Very happy with my new single bed. As a repeat customer I was fairly certain what I wanted, but it was very helpful to be able to confirm this over the phone after my order. I was given an accurate estimate of when it would be ready, and delivery went smoothly. The mattress and divan are great quality, just as expected.

Fantastic company. I bought a single Origins Comfort mattress 2.5 years ago for my son and it is as comfortable now as the day we got it. So comfortable and such good quality that I recently purchased a small double from the same range for my other son. I will be upgrading my own bed soon as well! Service is excellent. Their website has so much information and choosing a bed is very easy. They also call you after ordering to make sure it’s the right choice for you. I am aware there is a good return policy, making it more reassuring to buy such an item online, but we certainly didn’t need to use it. Our order arrived in less than three weeks and was delivered by Keen & Able - excellent service from them also. If only all online businesses were as great as this one. I’d give more than 5 stars if I could!

Ordering and delivery was easy. Lots of useful info on-line. Spoke to someone who was v helpful and straightforward. Mattress arrived early. How good is it (Artisan Natural)? Only time will tell but so far I like it.

Following the success of buying a new mattress from John Ryan earlier in the year, I returned to purchase an additional mattress and new divan. Ian was very helpful and the purchase was easy to make. The new bed and mattress are exactly as described and I now experience very good quality sleep. I must just mention however that it has taken 4 weeks to adjust to the different feel of the mattress but well worth it.

I have now had my double Artisan Bespoke for over three months and I am really pleased with it. I am sleeping better on it, the biggest improvement from my old mattress is that it's easier to get back to sleep on it if you wake up early, or just want to doze for a bit. It is a bit awkward to turn over but one man of average fitness can do it. Delivery was good, not 'white glove' though. It does take a good 24 hours to air out, if I bought again I would keep my old mattress while this happened. The guarantee is reassuring, I much prefer seeing things before buying them, especially at this price. One condition of this is that you use a mattress topper, which I found considerably reduced the effectiveness of the mattress. The buying experience was good, the various staff members were very patient with my numerous questions and did not try to sell me something I didn't need, like a new base. They knew more and were a lot more professional than than staff in some showrooms I visited. Overall I would recommend John Ryan and would buy from them again.
