There was a lot of very useful information, complete with easy to understand videos, on the website, explaining the quality of various components to a good mattress, which helped me to make the best choice for me. It was possible, miracle of miracles, to actually phone the company, to receive patient and courteous help with the detail of any points of which I was still a little unsure. As a result I am very pleased with the choice of mattress and for the last 2 months have been getting better sleep.

Very helpful from start to finish. Both my husband and I have slipped discs and spondiolithesis (spelling?!), and have never had a bed comfortable for both our needs, until now. They took the time to talk us through exactly the right bed for us and it was made a delivered very promptly. Will definitely recommend them to friends and family.

Great company, absolutely fantastic mattress, I sleep like a log. A proper mattress, properly made. Yes they're not the cheapest but I tried cheap (Otty etc) and honestly good sleep is priceless, well worth the investment. Lots of good advice on the website but some of it is contradictory or confusing so it's best to speak to their staff who are highly knowledgeable and helpful. Honestly couldn't be happier.

I have spent thounsand on beds for my spine and finally can sleep made to your design little expensive from other mattress but worth every single pound spent. Very efficient when ordering and delivering. Not sure what happened to the delivery men wearing ‘white gloves’! As regard the mattress, comfortable but not as soft as I expected it to be after a conversation with your representative. I also have concerns over the weight of the mattress when turning or rotating in view of my age, which I had mentioned. Otherwise now getting used to the mattress.

The comments about Homeserve are based mostly on their plumbing and joinery divisions and NOT their inspection division so the good reviews are not relevant in this case, most people who have dealt with them for matresses have come away with a bad experience, easily searched. My extensive poor reviews say it all really, that most companies have very poor customer service, not really a shocking revelation, one need only look at popular media to see the regularity with which companies are slated for their practices. You are correct though about me not being a customer, gladly so if you affiliate with Home Serve, much in the way I won't buy from companies that use Yodel for deliveries, I won't perpetuate the misery. However you don't mention that I also leave good reviews, some 25% of my reviews praise companies for their good practices, so it's very disingenuous for you to ignore those reviews because they don't align with your view. I have not bought a mattress from this company for the record but based on the fact that they use "Home Serve" as inspecting agents then I would avoid this company at all costs, Home Serve are a sham of a company, they are used by most mattress companies because they are cheap, cut many corners and are more than happy to side with whomever pays their fees regardless of actual faults or issues, they are NOT to be trusted and any company that uses Home Serve is also sadly not to be trusted. I had a £935 mattress in the basket ready to buy until I discovered they used Home Serve as inspecting agents.

From ordering the mattress to delivery they kept in touch at all stages, since delivery reminders of the benefits of turning the mattress have been given and acted on to our benefit. All in all well pleased.

We ordered two, medium zip-and-link single mattresses which appear to be well made and have - so far - proved very comfortable. Many modern, top quality mattresses seem to have a strong smell when new, redolent of the the sheep's wool they contain, and for this reason JohnRyan recommend that their own mattresses will need regular airing for about a month. However, after nearly two months we are still airing them and there is still a strong 'shop smell' though it is fading and we are confident that in time it will be unnoticeable. They were delivered on time although the delivery arrangements did not run as smoothly as expected - we had to phone JohnRyan to check the delivery date, they said they had sent an email which we never received, and in the event we were only given 30 minutes notice by the delivery company who had not been informed that we had paid extra to have the old mattress removed and recycled (hence only 4 stars). Fortunately, they were happy to take it once we produced the paperwork. All's well that end's well, of course, but in this respect they did not live up to their own standards. However, the company was a pleasure to deal with throughout, was fair, helpful, and we would certainly recommend them.

We have also always found it so difficult to choose a mattress from 5 minutes of sitting on it in store so this is a much better solution. The delivery team turned up when they said they would, wore shoe covers to protect our carpets, delivered to a room of our choosing and unwrapped the mattresses taking all packaging with them.
