Our bed was 7 years old but we were getting a lot of hip and shoulder pain. We are both side sleepers . Decided to research on the internet and came across John Ryan by Design. Read all the info on how to choose the right type of bed. I decided to ring them up . Spoke to a very helpful lady who went through a series of questions to find a suitable bed .Such as weight, sleeping position etc. Ordered a mattress and it is amazing No more sore hips or shoulder pain. Arrived on time . Delivery men were outstanding . Looks beautiful as well . Cashmere on the top area . So happy with my purchase . Quality personalised bed . Brilliant

Kept me informed as to progress on the order which was delivered exactly when advised. Delivery company used were excellent, taking the mattress upstairs and unwrapping it for me. Excellent service and delivery which made sure we got the right mattress when we needed it. The staff are so courteous. The mattress is superb- super comfortable with none of the horrible smell you sometimes get with new mattresses. A real quality product from a superb company.

The customer service was excellent and the mattress we bought is fantastic. We did originally buy the wrong mattress but their sales team rung to confirm the order and what we had bought was correct for us. It turned out we'd bought the wrong mattress for ourselves and they recommended a more suitable mattress which was cheaper. They refunded the difference immediately!

Excellent customer service and the mattress is excellent. We were looking at a vi spring mattress which was approximately £9000 but our concern with that was the Topper was built into the mattress. Rather than spending a ridiculous amount on a mattress we decided to go for a John Ryan mattress and buy a topper from soak and sleep which all together probably cost us less than £3500. We have been exceptionally impressed with the mattress it feels luxurious and provides an amazing night sleep. Highly recommend looking at John Ryan if you are in the market for a new mattress but don't want to spend Vi-Spring crazy prices but also don't want to compromise on quality and comfort

This was the third mattress I’ve bought from John Ryan. As usual the customer service was fantastic and the mattress itself is perfect. I wouldn’t buy a mattress from anywhere else.

Sadly I fell into the hype of JohnRyan/Paying for a premium mattress that compares against ViSpring and the highend likes in 2014. There is no coincidence that so many others have complained about the same issue as I will elaborate on below - I was suffering from bad back pain which was aggravated from an expensive memory foam which is when I found John Ryan's website. A really informative site and the owners very helpful in answering questions. After thorough research and comparing similar models on their advice to the likes of ViSpring and trying in store, I was guided to purchase the premium Bespoke 004 model that comes with a '10 year gurantee'. I also managed to convince my friend into buying one due to the sales techniques they use on their website and during their comms via email and phone. Delivery was fine and the first 12/18 months the mattress was absolutely fine with constant turning and flipping over. However after 18 months it slightly started to sag although wasn't as apparent. By 24 months my back pain was reappearing from time to time and on talking to John and Ryan, I was advised it was to do with settlement. The solution advised was to use a wooden board under the mattress to give more support, which we did... 36 months later the pain was getting slowly worse and the mattress was sagging even more. J&R were adamant it was nothing to do with their mattress, even with picture evidence, so I went through a process of using different types and brands of pillows and toppers. 42/48 months from purchase I tried contacting J&R many a time to show with evidence how bad the sagging had got with the mattress from now all angles and how my back had gotten worse with pain, that I also was now getting numbness in my arms and legs. Again they deemed the issues as settlement, expected and nothing further they could do. Clearly the 10 year gurantee has little to show for. 49th month mark, I cut my losses, throw the mattress away and bought a Silentnight Geltex Ultra 3000 which you only need to turn, not flip. 18 months now of pain free sleeping, no matter which pillow. If you suffer from back pain and want a mattress that will last longer than 4 years, especially if you paid over 1400 look else where

I cannot speak too highly of the zip and link Super King origins 1000 mattress, base and headboard. Sleeping more soundly than ever now. So soft and comfortable. Arrived within 4 weeks of ordering. 3 man team delivered and set up the bed. Very polite. Well done John Ryan.

I should start by saying that my new bed frame and mattress are brilliant. The velvet frame looks great and the mattress (an artisan natural) is so comfortable that I'm wondering why I didn't buy one years ago. However, the absolute stand out point of John Ryan By Design is the really good customer service. From my first conversation the person on the end of the phone was excellent and gave me great advice and recommendations. Having read many of the questions on the website I managed to confuse myself - again the person I spoke to was professional and helped me with my many questions. By the time I was ready to purchase my mattress I was completely confident with my decision. Delivery was prompt and the guys delivering (during covid restrictions) were helpful and courteous. There was a slight dent in the bed frame when it arrived, but it has since flattened out. What was great here was the team at John Ryan By Design were reassuring and helpful and again I felt confident with my purchase. In summary- a great product with top class customer service accompanying it.

Great website, lovely helpful staff on the end of a phone to answer my questions and advise me about choosing the best mattress to suit our sleeping needs. Worth a phone call - because I was about to order the wrong one! Excellent and professional delivery. The most comfortable mattress we’ve ever had resulting in great nights of sleep without waking up with stiffness the next morning. Highly recommend these guys and definitely worth investing in one of these mattresses.

We ordered 4 beds king size and double beds.they arrived as promised ontime unlike alot of companys these days.we found 2 of the beds not suitable for our needs and John ryan kept to there online promise and exchanged for 2 differant more suitable beds.they are amazing beds so comfortable and everything as promised also great customer service

This is my third mattress in 5 years and I think I've found our perfect fit. Yes, I've bought the mail order memory foam kak and suffered. I've also bout from the popular high street shops, only to find, what you try in store is NOT what you get. Third time lucky, bit the bullet, spent the extra quid and John Ryan by Design has surpassed our expectations. The quality is phenomenal. Truly. And by gosh its comfortable. The advice given was spot on. We got a call a few days in, after placing an order on their site. We picked firm (as our last mattress sunk and killed my back) but was told medium will be correct due to our body weight and type of sleep positions. I was hesitant but took the advice by John Ryan. And yep, 'medium' for us is spot on, and is actually firm due to the support this mattresses offers. Do it, try it. You won't be disappointed. Thank you John Ryan and team. Siraj.

A phone call with the team at John Ryan helped decide which product to purchase with clear, simple advice. We ended up purchasing an Artisan Bespoke 004 Mattress. We were advised there may be a period of adjustment moving from a memory foam mattress however the mattress was extremely comfortable from the first night. Highly recommended.
