I was a bit sceptical about buying a mattress without trying it. But your website, and a visit to a shop where I realised I didn't know what I was lying on anyway, persuaded me otherwise. Go on take a risk..... what have you got to lose?

Great service. After placing order I received a phone call to discuss my needs to make sure that I had ordered the correct mattress. I ordered my first mattress from John Ryan and was happy enough with the service and mattress that I ordered another one four our spare room. I have called them to ask questions about products and the team have always been friendly and extremely helpful

We have had our John Ryan mattress for about 3 years and I am still very pleased with it. It is very comfortable and has completely resolved the issues I was having with a stiff back on waking on our previous mattress. I have just ordered a single for my daughter and was very impressed that they phoned to ensure I had selected the correct mattress type. Excellent product and customer service.

Mattress shopping, a daunting task, or so I thought, until I came across John Ryan by Design. I had no interest in going into a shop to listen to a sales pitch and awkwardling lying on a matress in public to see if I thought it would be comfy or not. With a useful 'find my mattress' tool it was easy to find my perfect mattress within my price range. I was able to read numerous Q&As from other shoppers and watch JR videos to help with my choice before deciding on the Artisan Bespoke, a firm natural fibre mattress, with a 10 year guarantee. I liaised with customer services by email and phone and made sure all my questions were answered, and was conifident when I placed my order. My partner and I have been sleeping on the mattress for nearly a month now (we're front and back sleepers) and are both getting a better night's sleep and feel completely supported. I absoultely love the Artisan Bespoke bed and can't imagine I would have found anything of better quality and crafsmanship elsewhere.

First let me say the bed is excellent. Delivery was good and the problem with one of the drawers was sorted easily with the supply of another one very quickly. However, this bed was a gift and they sent the invoice to the person receiving the gift, rather than the payee?! When I complained about this by email there was no response. I told them it was for my 12yr old granddaughter, so obviously she wasn’t paying for the bed, but they still sent her the invoice! I was told when I rang they were sorry but only reiterated this was how their system worked. I don’t find this good enough. The beds and delivery I have found very good, just sort the last part and I would say excellent

Excellent customer service, this is one of the best companies I have ever had the pleasure to deal with. Their advice was great and they are always happy to answer any questions. The mattress we received was very well made and of an excellent finish, inline with other premium manufacturers such as Harrison etc. Would recommend you give them a try, you won't be disappointed.

Delivery and communication were all good. I have only had the mattress less than a month so cannot comment on performance over time, but it is perfectly comfortable so far. It’s very high, so you need extra-deep fitted sheets. I was disappointed to hear it only has a three year guarantee. I would expect a mattress to last years longer than that. Our last John Ryan mattress was the cheaper one, with a two year guarantee, and that was uncomfortable after 4 years- looked “splayed- out” and sagged. So I bought this pricier one hoping for a longer life.

I had been looking for a zip and link mattress, mainly motivated by the hope of having an uninterrupted nights sleep. I went to a well known department store to look for one, tried one or two out and learned just a little about materials used in mattresses, number of springs etc. I decided to look for more information and widen the search. I found a very informative piece on mattresses online, what you should look for, materials used, standards of mattress and I found the authors who were John Ryan by Design Ltd. I felt like I was taking a leap of faith with them being an online retailer so I called them and spoke to a lovely lady in the office, she went through a lot of detail with me in terms of what I need from my mattress and I settled on an Artisan Naturals Mattress - King Size Zip & Link, Medium softness. I cannot tell you how happy I am with this mattress. It is incredibly comfortable, I barely experience any movement in the bed when my husband moves and I am getting a great nights sleep. Highly recommend this company and would definitely use them again.

The mattress is amazing! We'd succumbed to the marketing of another major brand (think The Lion King) and not had a great experience. The John Ryan mattress gave the best night's sleep in ages. Great customer service, delivered on time and great product.

Good comfortable mattress

A very belated review. I had looked around bed showrooms, including some high end ones and was left thoroughly confused, then happened to find John Ryan online. I was pretty anxious about buying a mattress online, but I needn't have been! (I was also a bit suspicious about the glowing Trustpilot reviews, but I was never solicited to write this by John Ryan) The website is comprehensive and packed with useful information, but if you take time to understand it, it all starts to make sense. Then give them a call. They were genuinely helpful and knowledgable. Delivery was excellent, well above the usual experience these days. As soon as I unwrapped the mattress, I knew straight away that it was high quality just by its appearance - miles better than any mattress I saw in shops (including expensive ones). Everyone's different, but my experience of the mattress has been excellent, corresponding to the detailed advice I was given. Easily the best mattress I have owned and first class service online and by phone. My advice is, take time to digest the website and also get some phone advice, but you will not be disappointed.

Quality Bed Frame What can I say? They promised something and delivered :) - hassle free (but do wish the frame came with the spanner described on the instructions :/ - 5*s nonetheless)

Had the mattress around a month now, very comfortable. Ordering and delivery all pretty seamless, with some extra care points calling to run through the order, and lots of communication with delivery company on delivery day. Website very good for research, really helped me make my decision and cut through a lot of the marketing noise that surrounds the marketplace around mattresses. Mattress seems of high quality, if it lasts a decent amount of time I will be a repeat customer for sure.

Very pleased with our purchase. The whole process has been smooth and everyone has been very helpful in ensuring our needs where met. We appreciated the after-sales phone call from John Ryan to make sure our purchase corresponded best to our circumstances. The delivery guys (Keen and Able) were fantastic and removed our old mattress for us and took all packaging away. Perfect!
