Really excellent service - I ordered a mattress and received a call to talk specifically about myself and my partners needs and actually purchased a mattress significantly less than my original selection. All this based on sound advice and a genuine desire to sell the customer the right product and not just the most expensive. I'd very highly recommend this company and will be back again for sure in the future !

Great customer support and advice from a team who care. I don’t think my partner and I have ever slept so well. We opted for a zip and link mattress and for the first time in 15 years, I am not woken up by the other half turning over. Very comfortable and supportive. I don’t suffer with a sore hip and the other half’s sciatica has really improved if not disappeared. Thank you for making our sleep much more restful.

Great company know about mistresses and excellent communication skills from beginning to end. I looked at many company's and researched and John Ryan came out the best. That's the John Ryan part ...delivery drivers were also excellent could NOT do enough.......now keen and able administration disgusting if i was dealing with them first i would have cancelled. Excellent service. Website is full of information, then staff happy to spend time fully explaining differences in mattresses and making recommendations. Mattress was then delivered on time. Getting the super king mattress up our tight stairs was difficult but carefully and cheerfully managed by delivery team from Keen and Able. Mattress is super comfy and wonderfully supportive for our dodgy backs. Would thoroughly recommend.

I stumbled across John Ryan by Design Ltd (JRD) when researching quality mattresses. The familiar names all popped up together with a range of review sites. The latter disappointed me because of their apparent devotion to synthetic materials, i.e. memory foam, and my partner and I had no desire to go down that road again. JRD first appeared in my search in the context of providing technical insight into mattress design which I immediately clicked on. I subsequently discovered the most comprehensive product information I have ever seen on a retail website. This is authoritative, provides detailed answers to hundreds of customer questions and honest comparisons between their products and big name (more expensive) competitors, in particular Vispring. We narrowed down our options (both side sleepers) and I called the JRD team to discuss our shortlist. Very helpful and friendly they were with no push to commit us to the most expensive offering. We decided to extend our budget to the Artisan Naturals mattress in king size and we are delighted we did: I can now sleep on my injured right shoulder for the first time in years. The quality is simply first class but I should point out that it is somewhat challenging to move / turn over due to size and weight. Purchasing a top quality handmade mattress on the web is obviously a risk, but we were reassured by JRD's 60 day no quibble return / exchange guarantee and the company's excellent Trust Pilot reviews. Delivery was on time and the mattress was very well packaged. Excellent all round and highly recommended.

I ordered a king size bed and mattress which was easy to order and I even received a follow up phone call to ensure my order was correct. A slight issue with delivery as it wouldn’t fit in the van which was odd as it has been scheduled in, so the delivery had to be rescheduled but this was easily done. Aside from that hiccup, it is the comfiest bed ever and I highly recommend John Ryan by Design.

Great company to deal with . Had three conversations with different members of staff before I made my purchase . Everyone was friendly and very helpful advising me on my final choice of bed and mattress. I was kept fully informed of timescales for delivery and the delivery company used were very professional and kept me informed about how and when the delivery would take place. The bed is absolutely beautiful and so comfortable . We chose an Artisan naturals mattress in medium tension with a sprung divan base and Forbes headboard in Ivory chenille . The colour in beautiful and the mattress is so comfortable . I find myself looking forward to having early nights now and find it difficult to get up in the morning it’s so comfortable ! Everything is beautifully made and feels a quality product . Very pleased with the whole package so far !

After sleeping on a too firm mattress for over 10 years that my husband didn’t think we needed to change, enough was enough and I ordered a king size medium tension artisan naturals mattress. Within a few days my ongoing back and neck ache started to disappear and now 6 weeks later it has totally gone. My husband also now agrees it is more comfortable! It did take a few weeks to properly get used to it and I have added a topper just for added softness but overall very happy with it.
