United States | 06 August 2024It was a great location with some minor quirks. There was no dish rack or place to dry dishes. The dishwasher did not fully dry the dishes. The location did not have air conditioning in the basement, which made it very humid and uncomfortable. Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals had an issue on their end where I did not receive the QR code to access community amenities automatically like I was supposed to. I did not receive it until the third day of my stay when I had to call and request it once I figured out what I needed to use the community amenities. There was plenty of space for my family of 5. They enjoyed all of the community amenities that we were able to take advantage of, loved the space, in particular the loft where they could go and play. Overall, it was a great experience with some minor hiccups.

United States | 06 August 2024This cabin is beautiful, cleaner than clean, and has amenities for the whole family. From the hammock, to the swings, to the pool & ping pong table- we all were able to enjoy our vacation in our own way.

United States | 06 August 2024Edited: Stayed in a home this weekend in the lodges at eagles nest in banner elk. The community was awesome, very cool neighborhood and exactly what we were looking for. The home we rented though was a travesty. We spent our first day cleaning, outdoor furniture looked as if nobody had been to the home in months, thick spider webs covered everything along with a nice coating of dirt. The hot tub did have a little bit of debris in it as well. Outdoor heater and grill were out of propane along with the spare can(they say it was at checked and at 80% but I had two 20lb tanks replaced the second morning after we tried using them Friday night we did not use 40lb of propane in one night). The floors were covered in dirt and hadn’t been mopped or swept. The tv didn’t work and would not connect to WiFi for kids to watch something. We tried the tv every single morning and night and the WiFi never worked on it all 5 days. The outdoor fire pit and entire front yard was completely overgrown with weeds as if yard maintenance isn’t part of the management companies job. (Upon there reply if the neighbor hood is in control why isn’t the management company contacting them to fix the yard ? The weeds weren’t a week old they had been there for months and over two feet tall). The fire pit area also had Saran Wrap from previous bundles of fire wood sprung around the ground which we cleaned up for them. There was a snow sled in the middle of the front yard full of moldy water and it’s august…. When was the last time someone even came to this unit ? I could not have been more frustrated paying that much money to “get away” and feel on “vacation” pulling up to the mess of a home we got. (They replied saying we were interested in another day, yes because we had already spent a great deal of money to stay there and were thinking about extending our vacation because we wanted to spend more time together not because we were so happy with the home, that’s why we said for a cheap price we would and we found it surprising that you’d rather the home be empty then meet that price. Will never book through them again nor will I spread good praise of this company. Feel sorry for the home owners trusting these people with their property.

United States | 06 August 2024My wife and I rented On Eagles Wings in Eagles Nest for 5 nights this summer and invited 5 other family members to join us and it was a great experience. The house was unbelievable and we all could not get over how nice the house was and I have been renting mountain houses two to three times a year for the past 10 years and this was by far the best one I have ever stayed at. The 4 Bedrooms were all very nice and the beds were very comfortable to sleep in, the 3 full bathrooms were very nice as well and had great walk-in showers. We cooked several meals at the house and thought it had everything we needed and the appliance were excellent. Our favorite part of the house was the huge back porch that had a great Mountain View’s, excellent furniture and a covered area with a fire place. The Fire Pit and Hot Tub were excellent as well and we enjoyed those on a few of the evenings during our stay.

United States | 06 August 2024Rented Black Bear Lodge for the week of my birthday. The cabin itself was great and had an impressive view - but the customer service from Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals was terrible. We had specific issues with garbage remaining from a prior rental and a non-working dryer that should have been handled immediately. The garbage was picked up mid week - well after we had to store garbage in the linen closet because the outside dumpsters were completely full. The dryer was never fixed after multiple texts and phone calls. Just promises on an "update". They were quick to respond to the texts and phone call, but with no follow up that is pointless. We packed lightly with the expectation that we would be able to do laundry during the week and given only one set of towels is provided per person you have to be able to launder towels (especially if you're using the hot tub). I've rented many cabins over the years and this is the first time using this company - but it will definitely be the last. There are plenty of cabin rental companies with better customer service.

United States | 02 August 2024My experience was seamless. I was there with my husband and son for two weeks and we easily transitioned into the cabin - it was cozy, clean, and ready to be used. Directions worked great including labels and notes around the house. I appreciate the starter amounts of everyday necessities. The shower in the master bathroom was great. It was great that the hot tub was already heated. The location of the cabin was central to everywhere that we needed to go to.

Numerous emails were sent with information pertaining to the reservation, but information would be easier to locate if it could be combined into a couple messages.

United States | 01 August 2024You should tell how difficult the driveway is. Also ask for extra towels. Small kitchen and not a lot utensils if you plan to cook which I don’t on vacation. Overall I would rent again.

United States | 01 August 2024The location was great! The Lake Wataqua Mercantile serves a delicious breakfast accompanied by friendly service. Lake Wataqua was just down the road from the house we rented. We were able to go canoeing, let the dogs run around, and have a bonfire. The vineyard was literally across the street, up the hill. Daniella was staff at the vineyard. Her service was exceptional and the wine was delicious. The purpose of our visit was to visit our property and search for additional land purchase opportunities. We saw a couple of potential properties. Hope to visit again soon.

Plenty of kitchen ware and spices, laundry detergent, extra bath items, games, etc. The house was super clean and in a beautiful setting. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We had an issue with our door code upon arrival and i called the phone number provided and we gained access within 5 min!

United States | 01 August 2024We had an incredibly relaxing stay this summer at Chasing Birdies. We had an easy time getting into the property and loved the decor of the home. This home is perfect for a large family or multiple families. The main floor is perfect for older adults. Our kiddos loved staying downstairs on the bunkbeds. They especially enjoyed the awesome game room with so many different activities!! The master bedroom was spacious and we loved the private balcony. We were able to swim and have lunch at the clubhouse. We could not get over how friendly the deer were on the golf course. We loved being steps away from the beautiful golf course. Kitchen was stocked with everything, and it was nice having an extra fridge in the garage. We will definitely come back. Thanks for having us.
