It is important to quickly receive a call from the security service and Vector has always been great in this area. Also, I have been very pleased with the hardware installation and willingness of the company to honor ongoing contract from residence to residence in the proper manner. Very friendly and courteous! United States | 15 January 2015The timer was off on the motion detector resulting with the warning sound going off when I returned to the house. When I responded to the two-way phone, the person answering was patient and understanding. She offered to get a technician out immediately but I declined and was given a number to call to make an appointment. Meanwhile she turned to motion detector off until it could be fixed. The technician came on time, made the necessary changes and the problem is fixed.

United States | 15 January 2015Vector had no problem selling you their system, but when you need service like when your heat breaks due to faulty thermostat and they tell you they will send someone in 6 days and you have to raise hell to get it fixed sooner. Not exactly get follow up.

Also while here we had one sensor that needed a battery replacement and he went ahead and replaced all the batteries in all the sensors. Very friendly and helpful! Outstanding communication skills!

United States | 13 January 2015I have no idea if our system works. I have no idea if our system even works. No one ever calls except when the annual bill is due. The front door contact does not work and I never hear anything with reference to testing our system. This was done years ago when we first signed up. Many, many years ago. When annual bill is due I hear right away. Thinking seriously of canceling and finding a local provider here in Suffolk county, NY.. Not a very happy customer

United States | 02 January 2015**Update - thank you for your assistance. I was finally able to get my questions answered. Hopefully I will not have these issues again in the future. This started about 2 weeks ago when I contacted Vector regarding my account. I was asking about having the ability to control my alarm from a mobile device. At first I was told this was able to be done by a customer service representative that kept calling me "dude" or answering the phone when someone transferred me to him by saying "yeah", no hello, no how are you doing today just absolutely abysmal phone etiquette. I received a call back almost 2 days later saying that I would need to upgrade a radio which I'd only had for just over a year to be able to do this. I could either pay 300$ or save 100$ and extend my contract by another 3 years? That's simply not acceptable. I was transferred to retention's when I asked how much longer I had left on my contract, which no one has still answered to this point. When calling the retention's department, you are left on hold for 30 minutes, then hung up with no notice. I reached out over 72 hours ago with the contact us option from the website asking for more information and one of those items I was asking for was to simply let me know when this message was received and being looked into. I highly doubt that I will hear anything from this.

United States | 24 December 2014I had Vector install an alarm system in my home when I first moved in. They put in motion sensors as well as contact sensors. The Vector Security staff took the time to teach me how to use my panel/system controls and answered all (and there were many) of my questions. About two months after the installation my home was broken in to. The motion sensor that Vector Security installed in my basement went off and alerted the police. The police were here within 2 minutes of the initial dispatch. The alarm system going off kept the intruder(s) from being able to steal anything. Since the break in I have had another technician come out and add more sensors to my security system. I feel very confident that if anyone tries to get into my home again Vector will keep them out even when the locks and my two giant dogs aren't enough of a deterrent! If I hadn't had such a well thought out and installed alarm system the intruder(s) could have done damage or worse (in my opinion) hurt my dogs. I am very grateful to Vector Security and would recommend them to anyone looking for a security system for their home! There product as well as their customer service is top notch!
