United Kingdom | 22 February 2024AD Williams Brighton were the chosen company through my insurer, to fix the rear bumper and tail light, after a drunk driver went into the back of me. It was all sorted very quickly, i was dealt with by i think her name was Lou, she was absolutely brilliant and lovely. The car was collected in a couple of days and returned to me completed in about 8 days, great timing really. Upon the return of my car it was slashing it down with rain, Lou told me to have a good look to make sure i was all happy once it was dry... funny looking back on things. All work looked to be great when it was returned to me in heavy rain. I had a quick look the next day and everything looked to be fine in the area the work was completed. However a couple days later returning from work, rather than reversing my car like i normally would onto the drive, i drove in front facing. This meant i would have to walk around the car. This is when i suddenly noticed a scratch on the boot that i had never seen before, it was directly above the area that had been worked on. This was a little to coincidental for my liking, especially as i had still been driving the courtesy car and it was only the second day i had driven my car. I explained my concerns to AD Williams, i sent them the photos. To which i was contacted back by Steve Davies- Site manager. I showed that with rain on the car, the scratch was impossible to be seen. AD Williams refused to take any liability for the scratch caused. First of all suggesting that i was lying and the scratch was already there when they took possession of the vehicle and it was raining on their collection and maybe i hadn't noticed it. But then sending me the photos from their collection date which showed no rain and no scratch to the boot. Their story then changed and they suggested that i had managed to get the scratch in this time although on top of the boot is a very strange location. I have never got a scratch there before, but according to their patronising Site Manager - Steve Davies 'Given that it only takes a second to scratch a car, there is no given length of time that this may or may not have happened either before we collected the vehicle, or after it had been returned.' This sent out even more red flags, yes of course it only takes a second when you clearly know how you have done it. I was also told that in this time 5 days is too long a time to realise a scratch that they could have done. But when it isn't in the exact area of work carried out, and is instead above it on a different panel you aren't looking for it. Since the return of my car it has been heavy raining each day, as i mentioned before its near impossible to see with rain on it. I managed to get some poor quality photos from them during their 'quality control period' that was a side on view with an angle looking up at the car which before showing me, Steve had earlier used these photos to state 'I have gone through our photos from collection to QC, and I cannot see that scratch' I am honestly not surprised he cant see the scratch from the poor quality photo and the angle that is looking more at the side of the car than the boot, these photos were no way clear enough to not hold themselves accountable for the marks to my car, they full well knew they had done it they just wanted to refuse responsibility. Please avoid this company they will just continue to lie and gaslight their customers. My girlfriend works for Hyundai in Seaford just down the road from them and told me before my car went in that they had used them before and had received poor quality work and hadn't heard anything good about them. I laughed at the time and said whats the worst they can do? Surely they cant make it worse... I have had the scratch quoted to be fixed by a mobile repairer, which comes in at £190. its not too expensive but annoying for myself, to be out of pocket for something i haven't done. I cant understand why they resisted so much for something that would've cost them half what it will cost me and would've kept a happy customer. Just shows the levels or their poor customer service skills. I have also contacted my insurer to make sure that they do not suggest this company to anyone else in the future. My star is for Lou who i would've given 5 based on her customer service. Otherwise it would be a Zero

Romania | 08 February 2024A company full of clowns. I was contacted by AD Williams through the insurance company to fix my car. They made me an appointment with a specific day and time when an engineer will come and take my car to the garage to repair it. Everything is fine and beautiful, only that after 2 weeks later I was contacted that they could not repair my car, however, I specified from the beginning car problems and the country of origin, however, they said that everything is ok, only that after 2 weeks waiting to tell me that they cannot handle the case. My advice is to avoid such clowns as AD William

United Kingdom | 27 January 2024I did not have any information about where my car was, I only had a number because someone called me on 16/01/24 at 15:32. The woman I spoke to today 26/01/24 at 12:32 was rude and patronising, she simple wanted to rush me off the phone. I asked for the post code and name of the company but, I had a few more questions. I could not even ask these question because she sarcastically said "you can look online", then said goodbye and hang up. The customers are not interrupting your work, they are the reason why you work.

United Kingdom | 25 January 2024The Horley workshop did a truly magnificent job restoring the body work on my Volvo saloon to make it as good as new, just from the factory. Not only that, but the work was undertaken speedily - with out my asking they gave my car priority status. Their quote was significantly lower than others I received and they gave me a discount for cash .Finally they offered to pick me up from home - almost 20 miles away - to collect my car. Fantastic value for top quality workmanship. I am recommending them to all my friends and contacts. Thanks so much.

United Kingdom | 04 January 2024My car was broken into just before Christmas and was due to go to AD Williams in Wimbledon for repair. Whilst I appreciate some businesses shut over the Christmas period, there was no answerphone message stating they were shut. both my insurers and myself tried during this period with no result. Finally when I did get through, the phone would either continually ring and not be answered or answered then put down, I was greeted my a rude and dismissive call handler. Clearly customer service is not on their priority list. As a result I have chosen to recover my vehicle and get it repaired elsewhere.

United Kingdom | 14 December 2023The worst company ever please be aware and never use them and if your insurance company send you to them don’t accept and take to a different workshop that’s more reliable. They have given a a completion date to us and keep changing it making stupid excuses every time still haven’t repaid our vehicle and changed the completion date 3 time

United Kingdom | 29 November 2023My car went in for repair recently following an accident I had (Newhaven Branch). My insurance company messed me around so much and I can honestly say that AD Williams were the only part of the insurance claim process I was able to rely on. Nicky specifically in the office at Newhaven AD Williams has been an absolute angel. She has kept me informed with updates, shown empathy and was genuinely a pleasure to talk to. I feel people are so quick to write a review on bad customer service but rarely on great customer service. The customer service I received from AD Williams was fantastic, I really couldn't fault them; not just Nicky but all who were involved with my repair. My car has never looked better, I wasn't expecting it to look at good as it did and I really was surprised! Thank you for making what was an very stressful situation and bit more bearable.

United Kingdom | 16 November 2023Great job. Repairs took a little longer than expected but they kept me updated and it wasn't their fault anyway, more parts needed ordering. Gerry was a superstar, who picked up and dropped off the car and was extremely helpful over text when i (often) couldn't get through to the team.

United Kingdom | 11 November 2023AD Williams is the insurer-designated body shop, limiting my choices. Unfortunately, my car repair, initiated in June, encountered delays due to incorrect parts initially. After a prolonged six-month wait, my car was returned with visible dust and unsightly marks. The frustration escalated as the damaged wing mirror remained unrepaired. This experience falls short of a proper repair service, leaving me disappointed and feeling more like a punchline than a satisfied customer. if I had the option, I would have given "0" stars to reflect the severity of the issues and my profound disappointment with the overall experience at AD Williams.

United Kingdom | 31 October 2023I wouldn’t even leave one start but it will not let me !! The poorest service and totally substandard work .. vehicle has been back twice and still not right ! No one reply’s to phone calls or emails so I’ve had to drive to their workshop every time to get answers! And the workman ship is totally crap !! Lost trims, runs in paint work, wrong parts fitted, and nit willing now to correct by the looks of it ! I would look to take you vehicle somewhere else if I was you !!!

United Kingdom | 27 October 2023Please avoid using this garage at all cost. The staff have no customers service skills. They don't answer their customers service contact number, let that be a warning! Huge delay in getting my car repaired, it was in their garage for 6 months. When I communicated my frustration I was told that they didn’t want my car in their garage taking up a space! They tried to return my car with a smashed number plate which was damaged in the accident. When I did get it back it was dirty and stunk of oil.

United Kingdom | 26 October 2023Brilliant job on the paintwork and always return your calls and emails.

United Kingdom | 25 October 2023Great service on my car repair. So pleased with the work carried out and the added bonus of it being valeted inside and out made my day. Was told it could take 5-7 days. Was picked up from my house Monday and returned back on my driveway by Tuesday afternoon Would definitely recommend. Really happy with the service!

United Kingdom | 19 October 2023This company has had my father's car in their shop since July. They have repeatedly put the completion date back. Latest date is 31st October, some 4 months after his accident. They do not answer the phone. 4 months to repair a car is disgusting. Finally spoke to someobe today. Over a month ago it just needed respray, Today they blamed delayed parts. Which is it? 4 months with no car, absolute joke!
