My husband and I went on the Keralan Odyssey in February 2018. I had previously been to India many years ago and had waited longingly to get back to this amazing country.My husband had never been to the East and I wondered how he would like it. He loved it and is looking forward to more trips in that direction! I can't believe the distances we travelled and the fabulous variety of the whole trip. Our driver Rufus was superb and also added to our experience. The only downside we had was actually on the houseboat. While the area was lovely and tranquil and interesting, unfortunately our Crew were a bit lacking. The food was okay but the houseboat was really dirty.Overnight the air conditioning was put on and our cabin was freezing. We both had to sleep with a lot of clothes on! Which was hardly romantic!! When my husband went to en quire about turning it off the young deckhand was fast asleep and his "Captain" had jumped ship for the night. All our other companions had a good experience on their houseboats so I guess we were just unlucky. Everything else, the food, the hotels, the general holiday was an absolutely fabulous experience and the down time in the last hotel by the sea was unforgettable. One day I intend to take some time and truly enjoy this magical area again. In October this year I'm just going with my daughters to Ischia for a short trip ,again with Citrus who I have every faith in. Having read the Cambodia and Vietnam reviews that also looks like another possibility in the near future.

Have just booked a holiday to Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands with Danny at Citrus Holidays. The price is very keen and the range of excursions is superb. I am really looking forward to it. Because of the date of travel, it was difficult to secure flights to Quito but Danny worked very hard and found excellent flights with a prestigious airline which mean that we get an extra night in Quito at what looks to be an interesting hotel. As a bonus, there is only one aircraft transfer rather than two. Danny talked us through the booking process and it seemed that nothing was too much trouble for him. If the holiday lives up to my expectations then I am sure that this will be the first of many trips with Citrus.

We can't thank Citrus enough for arranging our tour to Kerala. It truly is a magical area and the different places we stayed from the tea plantation, pepper growing homestead to the house boat were all amazing. We had a wonderful guide who was with us from the airport to the final hotel. He really got to know what we liked, always found us fabulous vegan food, Government shops and frequent toilet breaks! We don't usually do 'repeat ' holidays but we will definitely go back to Kerala.

Our driver was waiting at the arrivals for us and swiftly took us to our hotel, explaining what we were going to be doing and when. The hotel was excellent with a huge choice of food for dinner and breakfast, in fact all the hotels were good. The itinerary was varied and interesting, things we would never of thought of doing ourselves. I would highly recommend the southern india, kerala private tour.

I have just returned from a wonderful holiday to Thailand/Cambodia/Vietnam. This holiday was booked after finding the itinerary on the internet. I then telephoned Citrus Holidays and spoke to Danny Dey. Danny was very helpful and I was able to make the booking. Danny also helped with any problem that occurred; I can recommend this holiday. Every hotel was great - every time we travelled from one place to another there was someone there to meet us and transfer to our booked hotel. All our pre-arranged excursions were great.

I have been on to tour holidays with citrus travel, which have both been very good. I would recomend to all if you want guilded tours. Or just a holiday

I travelled on the Keralan Odyssey in April 2019 and I have to say, it surpassed all my expectations! Right from when I landed in India, I was taken care of every step of the way and the courtesy of the driver and organisation with the hotels was faultless. The quality of the accommodations and the way the trip was structured was extremely impressive. From the port town of Kochi, up into the tea plantations, over to the jungle and then the houseboat, finishing on the beach, the entire trip just had the right 'balance.' It was the trip of a lifetime and I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone. Thank you Citrus!

Friends of ours recommended the Kerala holiday with Citrus most highly, so we booked! It was indeed a fantastic holiday with a wonderful driver, Babu; he was always immaculately dressed, in good humour, knowledgeable, helpful, a delight to travel with. His driving was just like all the others on the roads - a bit wild and fast but we were safe (not for the fainthearted)!. Our hotels were extremely good, excellent buffet meals and with attractive pools for swimming and lounging in the few "down" times. We would have enjoyed more time to visit small villages and, for my husband, to have more quiet opportunities for photography, but that is a minor detail. All the paperwork and communication was efficient and correct and we had no problems at all. In fact, we so enjoyed the trip and Citrus organised everything so well, that we are going to book the Cambodia/Vietnam holiday next! Thanks Citrus.

Avoid nothing but stress and dissatisfaction wish I'd read reviews before hand. Booked and paid for upfront,5weeks before get told hotel was fully booked so had to wait and chase for another hotel was offered near airport (no thanks).had to still chase for confirmation that it was all booked up to the week before saying we don't have a printer and can only print off at our place of work we had to keep calling and emailing which takes 48hrs. Over all the places we stayed are very small basic and remote.last places promised a superior room which we didn't get so small kettle was under wardrobe and bed 2singles put together we complained at hotel but we're told this was what had been booked I couldn't sleep as so uncomfortable made a complaint to citrus was told wait 28 days I've sent repeat of email it's been over 6 weeks now nothing

Fantastic tour of Kerala, hotels and food of a very good standard. Citrus travel were very easy to book with. Our holiday was a 12 day tour of Kerala all the excursions were well planned but what made our holiday extra special was the knowledge of our driver Babu Edappally he was such a friendly, polite and safe driver if you go to Kerala book Babu as your driver you will not be disappointed. This is our second holiday with Citrus Travel and would definitely book with them again

Having already been on the golden triangle tour some years ago this itinery seems too good to be true. It ticked all the boxes for us and was nothing short of amazing We were greeted at the airport by our driver Abhilash. He had a bright cheerful attitude which was welcome after a long flight there was nothing that was too much trouble and he is certainly a good emissary for the company The hotels were of a good standard and meals were varied If anyone reading this is unsure about India don't be we met with friendly people wherever we went As far as the negatives are concerned the itinerary was wanting We could not get off a plane at 16.15 and be admiring a palace at 16.00 To wrap up I would recommend this trip to any of my friends. well done to all the people who had an input in our very special holiday

We booked a holiday to SE Asia with Citrus travel. We started with a couple of days in Bangkok before moving on to Cambodia and then Vietnam. I read lots of reviews before deciding to book. We had a wonderful holiday and would highly recommend Citrus travel. Throughout the holiday, everything was very well organised and ran like clockwork. We had no issues with anything. Regarding the complaints about admin before the holiday, I would say things are a lot better now. We did have a few logistical issues with the itinerary so do check it thoroughly before you go as I did, especially if you are moving on frequently as we were. I found they did respond to emails and correct the errors. Also, we had an upgrade just before we left home as 1 of the hotels had a large function and so could have been noisy. Customer services took the time to email and phone me several times about this and the resultant 5 star hotel was amazing. In summary, we wouldn't hesitate in using Citrus again and from our experience the organisation out in the field is 2nd to none.

There was an initial problem with our booking when Citrus got my wife's name wrong on our flight bookings and we had to pay around £90 to have it corrected. After that, it all went very well. Our driver was friendly and helpful, particularly considering my wife, who has limited walking ability. The hotels were all excellent and as described. We were met by guides as planned. It all went very well for us.

Appalling communication, flights booked in wrong names, hotels changed after they were confirmed, private transfers sold as such were group - and these were only some of the issues. Finally, and after weeks of chasing, all incorrect details were amended after dozens and dozens of emails and calls!!! Why would I ever book again with an agent that issued me 5 ATOL certificates until they got it right.

So far very impressed. A big shout out to Annie who was so helpful. We look forward to our trip in November to Southern India.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS After paying ~£5000 for a two-week trip to Peru, we were left stranded in Cusco with no accommodation due to over-sold flights (I was 6 months pregnant at the time). When contacting the Citrus Emergency number, we reached a Sales representative who demanded an additional £1000 to fly us home.

Thank you for a fantastic holiday in Thailand,Cambodia and Vietnam. Everything went smoothly transfers were on time. hotels were good and the cruise was amazing . The guides were very friendly and helpful as well as knowledgeable. Would certainly travel again with Citrus

We booked 4star hotel Tara in Montenegro we are given 3star room which is on the highway with heavy traffic . We need a full refund as we were lied by Citrus Holidays or Tara Hotel has downgraded us.

My partner and I have just returned from 2 weeks in Cambodia, Vietnam and Bangkok booked through Citrus Holidays. I would like to take this opportunity to say THANK YOU to them for arranging the perfect holiday. I would tend to agree that trying to speak to a rep beforehand did make us feel a little apprehensive but......... this was really only for our peace of mind that the appropriate arrangements were in place. They were - from arrival to departure. We were met at all airports by a personal driver. Everything was put together so well we would not hesitate to use Citrus again in the future. They have clearly tweaked this trip amazingly and I guess have built up a database of guides in the cities, that they can trust. All guides we had were were super. From start to finish everything went smoothly and without a hitch. For almost all the excursions there was just my partner and I and our (personal) guides were great at explaining things (though some of them didn't speak English perfectly this didn't cause us too much of a problem). Tommy, our guide on the Ha Long 2 day cruise was fabulous - Citrus Holidays take note - this guy was absolutely wonderful - his English was perfect and his spring rolls to die for (thanks for the lesson Tommy). The hotels used were wonderful - usually 4* quality - our favourite being the Well Hotel in Bangkok, followed by the Frangipani in Phnom Pehn and the May De Ville in Hanoi (super) - our least favourite was the The Millenium in Ho Chi Mihn City. The hotel itself was fine but it was down a dark dinghy side road that was in a less than salubrious area. That aside, the facilities in ALL hotels were brilliant. There were generally special offers available on Spas, massages, manicures, pedicures etc - which were carried out in immaculate salons with well trained staff. Everything we did on this trip went perfectly and without a hitch - from the arrival in Siem Reap - to the trip to Ha Long Bay and the final departure from Bangkok airport - the service was first class all the way. I have just returned from the Southern India tour and I am still in a bit of a daze as it was so magical. I can’t believe all of the things that we did in those 15 days. Our driver Nishan was amazing - there were 4 of us in the car - he looked after us really well - nothing was too much trouble for him and he provided some really useful local knowledge on many occasions. The car was air conditioned and it provided a welcome haven whenever we returned from a palace, temple or gardens. We stayed in a rain forest for a few days which was amazing - saw elephants in the wild, birds snakes frogs and some amazing insects all with the help of a naturalist who provided the in- depth knowledge. The hotel accommodation and food was of a high standard and none of us suffered any problems throughout the whole tour. The overnight stay in the boat was a particular highlight - the food in particular was yummy. Overall an amazing tour - unbelievable value for money and thoroughly recommended.
