A well constructed tour, accomodation excellent throughout. Food excellent throughout. The itinerary was again excellent and the visits to palaces, etc always went smoothly with interface between our driver / guide "excellent". Sorry to keep using the same expression, but the trip was a joy, sights, sounds, tastes, smells were overwhelming! The panoramic views travelling up to Ooty and down were breath taking. Nature and game reserves were fascinating and whilst we may have been unlucky not to have seen any wild elephants, we saw lots of evidence of them!!! For any one interested in the beauty of nature, the forests were amazing and the wild life fascinating. And our driver guide - Prince - was exceptional, safe driver, informative, charming and we'll organised. Top marks for Prince.

Citrus Holidays is a great company to book affordable, flexible short breaks around Europe. I learned about them in a ‘Travel Zoo’ email and booked one of their breaks on offer. The staff are very efficient, professional and flexible helping us to get the exact break we wanted. Based on my experience, I would thoroughly recommend them and I will be using them again.

The whole process from initial enquiry,planning the itinerary and receiving documentation was good. There was always a response to our queries. The actual holiday went really well and any problems encountered were dealt with efficiently. Guides were waiting and the planned visits were excellent. The accommodation was - for the most part to a high standard with the exception of our hotel in Jaipur where we did need to raise a complaint about the food. The whole experience was made more memorable because of our driver - Sandeep. He was very professional and well skilled in driving in India!! I understand that he was an agency driver so we have not been able to contact his managers to express our thanks. I would hope that he will be made aware of our gratitude to him as expressed in this review. Clearly the drivers do form an integral element of these types of holiday. Our party of 4 visited the Golden Triangle and Kerala from 1 to 17 March. What a fabulous trip to India and such good value. Our taxi driver in the north was excellent and welcomed us with a smile every morning. He was employed by Go India Guides and his name is Edhanaram Choudri. Our guide for the Taj Mahal was Khizar Ahmed. He was excellent and took some fantastic photographs for us which were quite novel. We flew down to Kerala where we were greeted by another ver good taxi driver Azad. He gave us lots of information as we were driven through the various areas in Kerala ending in a fantastic health retreat in Poovar. We could have done with another 2 days there to relax. All the hotels were excellent. Plenty of choice of food to suit any palate. We stayed in some fantastic locations including a Rice boat overnight, a tea plantation, a health spa village, a casino. The hotel Woodnote had only been open 6 months and during the day workmen were still working on the pool area. This was a bit noisy, however the rooms were excellent and the restaurant served excellent food. This should be a good hotel to use when all works are completed. We seemed to be the only guests staying there. There was a hiccup in that we were booked in a Home stay as well as Woodnote and it seemed that Citrus had not notified the holiday company in India of the change in accommodation. This was very embarrassing for the home stay owner, our driver and us. All in all this was an excellent holiday and a wonderful experience. I would book with them again and have told friends and colleagues about Citrus Holidays! Barbara, Wakefield

Booked a 3 week holiday to Cambodia and Vietnam with Citrus Travel. All the hotels where in very good locations, with good breakfasts and very helpful staff. All our flights, coach journeys, tours and transfers were good. There was always someone waiting to pick us up from the airport or coach station. Everything worked very smoothly.

Just returned from Golden Triangle and Kerala tour with Citrus Holidays from time of booking and going on the tour the service has been first class The itinerary and accommodation met all our requirements and could not wish for better experience on our first visit to India,we will return again. Had a fantastic holiday visiting India - the hectic Golden Triangle off set against the tranquility of the South (Kerala). The whole experience was well organised by Citrus Holdays. The accommodation, attractions, staff/drivers and sights were all well above the standards we were expecting. Recently returned from a Solo's holiday to Kerala. I loved every minute. The first weeks itinery was pretty full on, then you get to relax on the houseboat & the nice seaside hotel at the end. Highly recommended. Thank you Citrus Tim Atkinson

This holiday exceeded our expectations, we had a great holiday in Southern India, and on arriving in India the organisation was exceptional, booking in at hotels easy, meals very good. Our driver Anthony collected us at the airport and enabled us to experience India at its best. He was always punctual and manoeuvred us through the chaos of the traffic with exceptional skill, some long journeys, but necessary to see so much. Anthony was also really helpful in advising us in regard to tipping etc and rescued us with small change - always a problem in the first few days. The holiday was so varied with a full itinerary, highlights included the houseboat trip which was wonderful, and the last couple of days relaxing in Poovar really good, the Ayurvedic massage quite an experience. The 4 stars review reflected our dealings with Citrus UK who didn’t always get our invoice correct etc although they do respond to emails rather than phone calls. We felt anxious when our travel docs didn’t arrive until a few days before travelling.

Fabulous tour of South India with Citrus holidays. Lovely hotels, driver Arun was great. lots of interesting stops along the way. Our only issue was arriving in Bangalore hotel at 5.30am, they gave us a room but then wanted us to pay extra for it. Bad planning as Citrus knew what time the flights arrived as our driver picked us up at the airport. All in all an enjoyable trip, well organised on the whole. We enjoyed good food and service. would certainly recommend Citrus holiday tours.

Well organised and all together an excellent experience - Sreejith, our driver was always on hand to help and on time each day, thank you. Hotels were not all up to the same standard particularly Casino Cochin and Uday Samudra but overall an enjoyable time was had.

Recently returned from our first trip to India taking in the Golden Triangle and followed by a tour of Kerala. The whole trip was absolutely amazing and we could not fault it. It was a very busy time with lots of travelling including an internal flight but it is the only way to see this amazing country. The golden triangle was a culture shock but very enjoyable with a good driver called Joginder and our guide in Jaipur named Manish, both of whom were excellent. The sights of the Taj Mahal and forts we visited were wonderful. On arrival at Kochi airport we were met by our driver Babu Edappally who was excellent at all times, polite ,punctual and very knowledgeable, and happy to accomodate any slight changes to the itinerary which we requested and found us excellent cheap clothing shops when I wanted more shirts. I would request him again if I were to visit this area again. Our highlight of the trip was our overnight stay and cruise on the houseboat, with excellent food and very friendly crew, so relaxing after the travelling. The scenery around the tea plantations was amazing as were the staff at the Tea Harvester hotel who tried to feed us so much food. The food throughout the trip was excellent with a fantastic choice. Would definitely use Citrus Holidays again, excellent value for money. Bob & Janet

Superb solo holiday in Kerela, south India... I've just returned from my first solo holiday using Citrus and I can honestly say that it's been a wonderful experience. The tour was so well organised and each hotel was fabulous.. the solo group were lovely and we all got on so well! We literally arrived as strangers but left as friends. All of the places we visited were interesting and although there was lots of time spent travelling in a mini bus... there was so much to see along the way plus comfort stops and a lovely driver, it wasn't an issue. I will definitely continue to go on solo tours and would recommend Citrus.

Excellent service, quality and exceptional value. We have used these guys twice now - once for a dual destination Rome and Venice, and more recently for a 13 day dual destination India trip (Golden Triangle and Goa). Service has always been first class. On both of our trips there have been many dates and times for things to have derailed very easily - it never happens. People are there when they should be and both holidays have exceeded expectations. Very pleased with this company and what it offers.

Second solo holiday with Citrus & cannot recommend highly enough. Great itinerary, fantastic driver/guide and excellent hotels. Everything went like clockwork with no issues at all. Citrus were even able to Taylor flights to suit me.

Returned from solos Kerala tour six days ago. Absolutely amazed at the great value for money. The trip was faultless, hotels were all very good, resorts well chosen, offering a great overal picture of a very diverse state. Highpoint of the tour was the day and night on the houseboat, the scenery was magical and the boat very comfortable. Our driver Neeshan was magnificent, nothing was too much trouble for him. Neeshan was informative, helpful and kind and an exceedingly skilful driver. Thank you to Citrus for a memorable holiday. I will definitely be using Citrus again.

Southern India Tour We returned from our trip on Sunday 24th March. Overall the actual experience was very good. However we did have a few issues with various aspects. The first hotel in Bangalore (JP Fortune) is in no way a five star hotel. The room we were given was very shabby and grubby. Three star at best. The other main concern was the houseboat. It was nowhere near as luxurious as promised. The flooring was torn in both the deck area and bedroom, the bedroom window was broken as was the bathroom door. It was overall very shabby and quite dirty in places. Having said that the local staff were all amazing, especially Antony our driver. Nothing was too much trouble, his English was excellent as was his driving. He was very knowledgeable about everywhere we went. The boat crew were also fantastic as were the two local guides we had. When we booked this holiday almost a year ago, we told Nancy at Citrus that it was a special trip for our 30th wedding anniversary and she assured us that all of the hotels would be informed of this. However not one of the six had been told which we found disappointing.

Just finished our 13 night southern India tour. First time to India and it was amazing so much to see and experience. The varied itinerary with planned free time to relax. From booking with Victor and speaking several times with Mel who was extremely helpful in the office everything went to plan. Our excellent driver Sreekanth made the trip. His careful driving and always being there to meet us. His excellent spoken English and local knowledge which he was happy to share. Citrus holidays chose very good and varied hotels, we had alot of very good food! I would definitely recommend citrus holidays and would travel with them again.
