My husband and I travelled with Citrus Holidays to Bangkok, Cambodia and Vietnam. In general it all went very well indeed, pretravel all orgnanised etc. The problem began when we needed to complain about the very poor hotels that were arranged by the company and the fact that we were separated from the group whom we began our journey with. So we decided to complaint to the company, very slow response, but we got there and came to an agreement, then again no repsonse to the mutual agreement. So Customer Service is very poor indeed, We travelled in December 2018 and now it is the end of May 2019 and still they have not responded to us. Shame.

Worst customer service I have ever received from any organisation. Will never use them again tour companies they use in for Singapore is most unprofessional even our hote receptionist commented how poor the service was as they are frequently late or not show up at all to pick up guests

The Southern India Explorer Tour With Private Chauffeur We have recently returned from an amazing holiday taking in many of the sights and sounds that make southern India such an endearing place to visit. The quality of tours, we have discovered, can vary a great deal. In the past, enjoyment has suffered from large group sizes as companies attempt to secure bigger profits. Not so with Citrus! How refreshing to be the only two on the tour and to feel and be treated like royalty. We were met by our driver at the airport and embarked on our two week journey into southern India. This tour completely surpassed our expectations and afforded us what can best be described as genuine ‘wow factor’. We experienced the smallest tour group ever! It’s just you, your driver, the open road and a full itinerary designed to fill your senses with the country and the life of her welcoming and friendly people. In a crowded market this raises the experience well above others and for the price is a stroke of genius from Citrus! As the driver is your companion for much of the trip Citrus must select the best staff to take on the responsibility for ensuring success. Here Citrus seem to have got the recipe right too. Our driver, Sreekanth, was friendly, courteous, extremely attentive and very helpful. He was thoughtful and caring in the way he sought to get the best experience for us even including great photo opportunities. When we spotted an elephant taking a break on its journey he didn’t hesitate to stop so we could indulge ourselves with unique photos and special memories to treasure. He was knowledgeable, keen to point out interesting features and always happy to answer our questions which helped us to appreciate life in India and enhance our enjoyment of the holiday. The car was comfortable and cool helping to make the miles melt away between destinations ensuring we arrived keen to explore the next stage in our adventure. The hotels were chosen with care to provide good food, quality of comfort and at Ooty an amazing hilltop view. Staff at each hotel throughout our whole journey were very friendly, helpful and keen to make our stay a pleasant experience. Citrus Holidays are to be congratulated on their meticulous planning and flawless organisation. The itinerary was brilliantly put together to ensure a wide variety of different experiences guaranteed to make lasting memories. In one holiday you are able to marvel at palaces, go hunting for tree frogs at night, bird watch, sleep on a floating home and take in the atmosphere of a cultural show. There is undoubtedly something to enthrall everyone on this trip. This was our first time of booking with Citrus and we are now keen to explore more destinations. Thank you Citrus for a job well done!

I have used citrus on 2 occasions. First I booked the South America trip which was fabulous, the guides were fantastic and I had no problems whatsoever and due to this I booked the India trip to the Golden Triangle. I did this trip alone and wasn’t sure what to expect but I need not have worried. My driver Man and the guides in Agra and Jaipur were first class and ensured my comfort and safety at all times. They made me feel like a princess! Also I would like to say that Walter who booked both my holidays is first class and was extremely helpful at all times.

We booked a 6 day holiday with Citrus Travel May 2019. Our hotel was changed a few days before due to circumstances out of control. We were rescheduled to the Alimuri Mar Hotel 15 mins outside Sorrento with a free hotel shuttle bus. For the inconvenience we received upgrades, prosecco on arrival and a trip to the Amalfi coast during our stay. A beautifum 4 star hotel overlooking the sea. Our rooms were superior with a four poster bed and suite with a large balcony overlooking the beach. Our towels and bedding changed daily. The hotel and restaurant staff work so hard to strive for excellence! The food was amazing, and as I'm Italian decent, is very highly recommended. When we arrived we had a plated cold meat salad and prosecco and wine in our rooms, which was just perfect. Our trip to the Amalfi coast was upgraded and we saw Positarno also to our surprise! We will return to this hotel again and can recommend this. Thank you Citrus Travel x

We a wonderful holiday in Kerela. Titus our driver was wonderful and made it an unforgettable experience - nothing was too much trouble! It's a pity the same cannot be said for Cirus Holidays representative in Kerela. I injured myseld in a fall in a wetroom at one of the hotels (we had specifically requested hotels with a bath as I am an amputee and showers can be difficult and dangerous). He had not informed the London office before our departure that he had not booked hotels with a bath. It was reported to him I had injured myself and was having difficulties but he made no attempt to contact me, he also cancelled the bath request (after we had left the UK) for the hotel in Kovolam where we were to spend the last three nights - fortunately this was sorted by the London office. Had Titius the driver not been so helpful and the London office not stepped in the holiday would have been a disaster, they both deponstrated what customer service should be, unfortunately the Kerela representative was useless and his total lack of customer service would have ruined what was a holiday of a lifetime for us. Everyone else associated with Citrus Holidays was excellent Alex who dealt with our booking was brilliant, all the guides were very good and Titus was the star of our holiday - Citrus Holidays are fortunate to have such an excellent driver looking after their customers in Kerela. Prior to Kerela we had six nights in the Golden Triangle. This also was excellent and the Citrus representative for that area Shuhul was very profesional. We were contacted on the day we arrived, all the hotels had had a room with a bath confirmed and everything was as requested - a total contrast to our experience with the Kerela representative. Again we had great well informed guides (Rajesh and Manoj) who accommodated my disabillity ensuring we experienced everything a fully as possible and a very helpful and customer focused driver Pratap Singh. Citrus Holidays you have some wonderful people representing you in India look after them but unfortunately it only takes one poor one to ruin a customers holiday............ This would have been a 5* review had it not been for the lack of customer service from the Kerela representative.

Wonderful holiday, very well looked after. Good accommodation, very nice food. The scenery was breathtaking I would recommend this holiday, it was exceptionally good value.

We went to south India on a heritage tour for our honeymoon in November 2018. It was fantastic! The tour guides were wonderful and the in country citrus team were amazing, they really listened to our suggestions and feedback! Great tour, great culture and wonderful hotels and food. If you want to see the South of India I cant recommend this enough! Special thanks to our driver Babu. Nothing was too much for him and he was happy to accommodate us whilst getting us safely from one place to another. He was an absolute star and made a wonderful holiday even more incredible!

As per the previous review, the lack of communication from Citrus is very concerning, especially when you are in a foreign country and need assistance from your tour operator. We experienced very similar issues with individuals not returning calls or liaising with tour representatives overseas with changes to flights and hotels. We were left stranded at Bangkok airport on arrival as Citrus had not provided the correct flight details to the transfer agent. Two months on we are still awaiting contact and a refund from Citrus for this mistake. In addition, our final beach extension hotel was changed whilst we were on holiday but Citrus did not make sure we were aware of the exact changes. Thank goodness for the hotel manager contacting us direct to advise of the change to a new hotel. Lastly, many of the hotels listed (Thailand, Cambodia & Vietnam trip) were not even three star standard and were very tired, dirty and old. Stick to other tour operators such as Exotica, Intrepid or Mercury who are much better and understand the importance of communication, not just when they are taking your money!

We booked a holiday with Citrus holidays going to Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodia the communication was always sporadic, and when finally we did receive our itinerary vouchers etc, the flights there and back had been booked under two different booking references this made it impossible to check in on line, we managed to get seats together going out by ringing the airline direct, who were baffled that this had been booked this way, but on the return we had the two last seats together the worst seats in the plane, the airline apologized as we by the toilets for nearly 13 hours. Citrus were unhelpful we also booked for fourteen nights and instead of flying us a day early to enable the direct flight back they booked the hotel for the last night even though we were collected at 9pm so list a whole night again through bad booking. We ended up with 13 nights holiday instead of 14 booked and paid for. We booked various tours and flights as per their recommendation and one was a food tour in Hanoi on the back of a motor bike, when we arrived they knew nothing of it, so ended up with a tour ion the back of a bike around town, a beer and a packet of crisps, a take away, and a coffee, this would have been great if it was what we booked but after paying £158 for the tour to end up with a £50 tour was a bit of a mis selling. We have asked them to sort this and come back to us but they have again not bothered so we have ended up out of pocket for the tour and mis sold the tour, and short changed on our 14 nights we have worked hard to pay for, and needed the break, feeling very let down, we are not normally prone to giving holiday agents bad reviews but we were brushed under the rug and feel very put out.

Couldn't have asked for better service. I booked the holiday with Citrus on a whim and my trip entailed a full tour of Sri Lanka and then a rest stay at the Maldives. I paid in full on booking and to be honest, was a little apprehensive about the company as o heard nothing then until close to departure, however. The attacks on Sri Lanka occurred three days before we were due to depart the UK and although I never actually got to speak to a person, as all requests were dealt with via email, the representatives at Citrus went above and beyond to change all the flight and hotel stay to the Maldives with no further coat apart from the £6 a day environment tax for going direct to the Maldives. Couldn't recommend them enough. No issues. Very happy

Threeland Travel Cambodia & Vietnam is a must. Boutique and flexible to your needs and budget Threelands has it all. We had Louis as our contact, he was amazing and dealt with any problem and was in contact at time of the day and night, thank you Louis. Our guide Loin & driver Butt in Cambodia were amazing, knowledgeable, kind & caring. Our guides in Vietnam were excellent too. Highly professional - well priced and a delight to be customers of their fine service

Booked our trip to Vietnam and Cambodia and initially concerned as communication with Citrus office staff was not great. One or two hiccups with the itinerary before we went had to be sorted out but we were satisfied with our final itinerary. We were a bit apprehensive but set out on our trip. From landing in Siem Reap all through our 16 day trip the service was wonderful. We had booked a private tour and each time we arrived at a destination a car and tour guide were waiting for us, even if the plane was delayed, they waited over two hours on one occasion. The guides were friendly, knowledgeable and spoke good English. The hotels were good, the food great and the local people wonderful. We would like to thank our guides Jane, An and the girl who took us on a tour of the King's Palace in particular. We would advise that flights and itinerary are carefully checked before leaving but other than that, we would certainly recommend Citrus Holidays.

We have just returned from a 6 day guided trip to India followed by 9 days in Sri Lanka. Our trial began one week before we were supposed to leave when we were told by Citrus that our long haul airline had just gone bust. We were offered a full refund from Citrus or they would rebook our flights with another airline. We decided to go ahead. Citrus sorted out replacement flights within an hour of our decision. Unfortunately we had to pay an extra £240 per person. Nevertheless, Citrus acted really quickly to get the flights with good flying times. We arrived in India where our driver Pratap Sing was waiting. He was brilliant - always on time, a really lovely guy and really looked after us. Our guides were also great and the programme was excellent. Then we heard that there had been bombs in Sri Lanka. When we arrived there, the airport was in disarray as security was extra tight but our guide found us. Again, our driver/guide (Jehan) was excellent and made sure that we were safe and kept us informed about the ongoing situation. Our tour had to be changed slightly but we did some amazing things and saw so much of the country. Both of our escorts made what was a fantastic trip into something amazing - I cannot praise the organisation of the whole thing enough! Thank you Citrus - we will definitely, definitely use you again!!!!

First time we have used Citrus Holidays , we were very impressed from booking our trip with Mel who was excellent in making sure our itinerary suited us . Then our driver during the vacation was Bibin who was great , a very good driver very well presented and kept his car immaculate. He was very helpful . Our first time to Southern india 13 night trip Kerela it was great . Hotels were all excellent and food was very good . Would definitely use Citrus holidays again .

Used them regularly over the last five years.easy to deal with mixture of e mails and phone calls made booking easy.still feels like a personal service with modern methods. Great value,you get what it says on the tin. Last trip was the Southern India Explorer.good hotels, great itinerary,personal chauffeur etc Our driver helped make the trip great.He looked after us for 10 days always well turned out ,engaging and knowledgeable . I regularly recommend Citrus to our friends.

The service I received from Citrus has bee fantastic both at the point of sale and post sale. I would like to particularly mention Sunny who provided great customer service, in particular with a short notice request for excess baggage and assisting me with a list property issue. I didn't give 5 stars only because the resort was not as good as expected.

I posted a review in November when I booked my holiday to Sorrento saying all was good and I would post an update. Pleased to say my E-documents did arrive well within the time frame and everything was fully documented - from flights to transfers to hotel. Although our hotel was changed it turned out to be a blessing in disguise, it was beautiful and there was absolutely nothing to fault. Citrus Holidays - thank you for a wonderful experience. Will I use you again, definitly - will I recommend you to others, already have! Thank you.

Worse experience I've had of booking a holiday. The lady on the phone was very very pushy, phoning me constantly to make a decision to book. Pressure I certainly didn't need! The tickets were supposed to be sent by email 30 days before. Nothing 2 weeks before so I called to chase them. When arrived the vouchers didn't agree to my booking. After much chasing they tried to tell me it was right but fortunately I had an email showing what they'd actually sold me so they corrected it. I finally got the correct paperwork the day before I travelled. More stress! The agents on the ground were fine although many of our private transfers turned out to be shared transfers (another mis-selling and not what we paid for!). I definitely will never use then again!
