Another good holiday with Citrus. 15 night India Golden Triangle/Kerala tour. Almost everything ran smoothly and on time, from flights to taxi drivers and guides. Special mention to Vinod, our taxi driver/guide who was outstanding. Very helpful, knowledgable and nothing was a problem. A little disappointed as part of tour included a visit to a nature reserve, but this doesn't open until April. Another let down was the mangrove boating at Poover which didn't take place as local operators were "on strike". However, if we were willing to pay, again, this boating trip could take place!!!

I would recommend Citrus holidays as a company to use. The person that helped us book at Citrus was a lady called Syra and her customer service and help was exceptional. Our Kerala tour was fantastic and we didn’t have any issues along the way. All of the hotels we stayed in were great, couldn’t fault them. I must say the driver we had was also excellent, from the minute he met us to the minute he dropped us off. Nothing was too much for him and he was very friendly and helpful for our entire tour. His name was Prince and I felt he deserved a special mention. Thank you Citrus, would definitely book with you again.

We had a great time in Kerala. Very well organised from being picked up at the airport by Sajeev our driver. His driving skills were fantastic and knowledge made our holiday. Highlite was staying one night on a houseboat.

Just returned from a 10 night tour of Kerala. It was absolutely fabulous, extremely good vale for money and really well organised by Citrus holidays. Our driver, Sajeev, was just the best. He was totally attentive at all times, helping us with all our needs and generally looking after us throughout the tour. Kerala is just the most beautiful place and the people we met were so friendly and helpful.It truly is "God's own country".

We had a fantastic holiday, great value for money. The drivers were brilliant, in particular Titus who was not just a driver but a well informed guide and great company. When we had an issue he solved very efficiently. We would not hesitate to use him and Citrus again

“Great south India tour” Written on: 08/03/2019 by Retiredfromsussex (1 review written) Just back from a wonderful tour of South India. We enjoyed staying at a variety of different hotels, and loved the food in all of them. We particularly loved the heritage hotel we found ourselves in when the collapse of our airline meant a last minute change of plans. Please include this lovely place in future itineraries. We can't praise Citrus enough for the way they handled the crisis and the smooth way we were able to continue our tour. We had an excellent driver, Sree who was always on time, always found a parking place right where we needed access and was not only knowledgeable about everywhere but had a keen eye for spotting birds, wild boar, monkeys and on one memorable day - elephants! It really was a great tour.

I cannot express enough how amazing this holiday was. Every detail was considered and nothing was too much trouble. Our personal driver, Laichan, was kind, welcoming and incredibly professional and he really made the trip special. All of the accommodation was clean, welcoming and unique - rather than being in a standard bland hotel. The extras included in the package were a huge bonus, guides, entrance to museums, boat trips etc. Literally the only additional costs were alcohol, a couple of lunches and gifts. the whole trip gave us a great insight into this beautiful region and I cannot recommend it highly enough.

south Indian tour feb19 We thoroughly enjoyed our south Indian tour. We were picked up from the airport by our driver Vishnu all went perfectly to plan. We were very happy with all of the hotels throughout. Just wanted to mention the restaurant staff at the gem park in Otty were exceptional. One of the highlights for us was the boat trip in Alleppy. Thank you very much Citrus for our lovely tour. Special thanks to Vishnu our driver who kept us safe and made our journeys fun and interesting. We booked this holiday to Rome via Travelzoo, at the hotel Church Palace for 4 nights. The reason we booked this hotel was the location for public transport and the reviews. Two weeks before departure we received an email from Citrus saying the hotel had electrical problems and they wanted to change our booking. Believing the problem to electrical we queried the change and they reinstated our reservation. We heard nothing to suggest there were any further issues with the hotel. Three days before our departure we found a moment on TripAdvisor saying that the hotel was in fact closed down. We contacted Citrus via email and telephone informing them of this. We where given a choice of another 2 hotels. As we now only had 2 days before our trip my wife called Citrus to discuss changing our booking, before she could say anything she was shouted at down the phone to 'email only they would not speak to us over the phone'. When she tried to explain why she called and ask if they wanted to booking reference he just kept repeating the same sentence. Clearly our telephone number was highlighted on the call centres screen as he already knew who was calling and why. Less than 24 hours before we flew to Rome we final had some details of our new hotel. We won't be booking with this company, or any of its many other Sister companies, and advise anyone considering them to do their researches first, as we wish we had done

FANTASTIC HOLIDAY! just come back from 14 night holiday of a lifetime Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam and it was amazing.the whole tour was well organised. from the very first stop in Bangkok we were met at the airport and taken to the well hotel in the centre of the city which was a nice 4 star hotel. Everything was taken care of bye the tour guides letting us know what the pickup times were for the next days tour.after being in Bangkok for 3 nights we headed to Cambodia for the next part of the holiday and again everythink is taken care of,the private transfers collect you when they say and are all very friendly and speak reasonable English. Cambodia is a very friendly place with the people always willing to help you with any queries you might have,siem reap is a lovely place,go to pub street it's full of restaurant's bars,and entertainment but it's not to loud like kanosan rd in Bangkok! Vietnam is nice, hanoi is a lot more chilled than Saigon with loads of family events at the weekends they shut the roads so everybody can walk round the lake it's fantastic at night all lit up. EXPECT to tip on your travels around Asia as they don't ask for it but I think they expected a tip! TO SUM UP HAD A BRILLIANT 2 WEEKS HOLIDAY THANKS CITRUS FOR A GREAT ORGANISED HOLIDAY.

We went on the southern India which included Kerala tour with a private car and driver.. Great adventures and many experiences to remember. All went smoothly with no issues or hassles. Would definately recommend to others with no reservations. Our driver Krishna was so kind and funny and was very knowledgeable. Enjoyed every minute. We have just completed a two week holiday with Citrus Holidays, incorporating 10 days in Kerala and a short Golden Triangle tour. Overall it has been a great experience, in no small part to our two drivers, Sinju and Sandeep, who ferried us safely from place to place and made sure that everything ran smoothly. Our hotels were all fine, and the food on the Kerala leg was particularly good. All the hotels seemed aware that we might not like red hot curry! The itineraries were nicely varied, and we have seen more than we can remember. Highlights were the houseboats in Alleppey and the Amber Fort in Jaipur. Recommended, and we may well use them again.

Airline made some amendments to our flights, which I wanted to discuss with Citrus. However despite 4 emails and numerous calls I was unable to get in touch with anyone who was prepared to help. Eventually managed to find someone who took an interest. Good value - but very difficult to communicate with!!

My husband and I travelled with Citrus Holidays on their Keralan Odyssey tour in November 2018. We looked for a package of excursions and experiences that suited our needs - we were delighted with all aspects of our trip, the service we received, planning, the hotels, excursions and our wonderful driver Sajimon, who really looked after us. This was our first visit to India 🇮🇳 and we wanted to experience life in a variety of locations and so the 10 day Keralan Odyssey tour was perfect. Definitely happy to recommend to anyone. We saw so much and visited lots of places including a tea plantation, an overnight stay on a houseboat that was just magical, time by the beach, wildlife reserves and so many beautiful hotels with staff who were truly welcoming. Highlights of our holiday included a Keralan cooking lesson, experiencing the buzz of the places we visited - there’s so much to see and do, a Jeep safari, wildlife tours to see elephants 🐘 and an unforgettable night on a houseboat in Alleppey relaxing on board as we cruised down the river filled with water lilies listening to the water and the wildlife. The aryuvedic massages were great too. Nothing was too much trouble for our guide Sajimon. If we wanted to divert from our itinerary, it just happened, Sajimon suggested places we might like to call at and what better hands could we be in than an expert in the area and what it had to offer. We would not have had such a great time without his knowledge, experience and genuine care about us having the best holiday we could have. All our excursions were enjoyable, well planned and without issues. The hotels were of a high standard and we were truly welcomed. We asked to change a hotel one night as it was a little out of the way and this happened without any fuss - nothing was too much trouble - all our needs were continually met. We would definitely use Citrus Holidays again and am happy to recommend them to others. Saji made our holiday very special - it was great having him with us, he took care of everything and even found me Gin at the Government store.

I do not make a habit of reviewing holidays, however I felt I had to make an exception after experiencing the Kerala tour offered by Citrus. From feeling slightly sceptical at time of booking I am now incredulous at how the company can offer such a fantastic package at the price point offered. Our holiday from start to finish was amazing, with every single facet of the trip exceeding our expectations. Our itinerary was well thought out, allowing a couple of days to acclimatise and explore Cochin before heading off to explore Kerala; a state that enjoys the most majestic and varied landscape from the highlands to the coast. The final four days in Poovar, relaxing by the beach and enjoying boat trips though the mangroves, provided the perfect end to a near perfect trip. Our tour was enhanced by the quality of driver supplied (Lallichan), a thoughtful and kind man who looked after our every need along the way. Particular thanks also go to our host Pratheesh, who went above and beyond in his dedication to ensuring we had a fantastic holiday. I have no doubt we will return and recommend this tour without hesitation.

Having previously written a positive review about the booking made with this company, sadly I need to write a BAD review. We booked a holiday to Rome, a couple of weeks before departure we were moved to a different hotel, miles away from the original one. When we questioned it we were reinstated at the original hotel. After some investigations we discovered that the hotel is not open so we contacted Citrus as we are not just a couple of days away from going. They emailed a couple of hotel options, so we called to try to sort out an alternative only to have the call answered by a very rude 'Ashely Michel' in their call centre. The told us that they did not want us calling them but to email only. As we only have another day to get this sorted we didn't want to wait another day for their Admin Team to answer the email. Not happy with their lack of Customer Service and rudeness of their call centre staff. This is not the way to treat paying customers!!!!

Our Southern India trip was amazing… We both really loved our holiday, the warm welcome of the Kerala people and the beauty of landscape was breath-taking and we would highly recommend it. Citrus had it all well organised. Excellent varied itinerary. Hotels were very good standard with very friendly staff and good buffet food. Our Driver Sinju was very competent and professional and did all he could to ensure we had a good holiday experience I particularly appreciated Sinju’s willingness to stop along the way to allow us to take photos and take photos for us where no stop had been planned. He went out of his way to give us a great experience. We felt safe with him and we have some wonderful pictures too. The Tea Plantation was a beautiful location and Munnar blew us away. The Homestay in Thekkady was so much more than we’d expected. Everyone in both these locations went above and beyond to make our stay memorable however the overnight stay on a houseboat was particularly outstanding. All the staff were very knowledgeable and all the riverside activities we passed were amazing. We felt privileged that throughout this trip that we experienced so much of the culture of the Kerala. The food on the boat was the best of the whole trip. We felt our tour was very good value for money and we have no hesitation in recommending it and will be booking future trips with Citrus. We would recommend upgrading to Air Emirates as they made the flight so relaxing. Thank you Citrus Holidays.

We've had many many holidays but Citrus has provided an unforgettably superb experience. Our driver Reigan was exceptional, very courteous, an excellent driver and an expert guide,going well beyond our expectationns. When we next return to South India, we would request Travel Bug to provide Reigan as our driver. Thanks also to Travel Bug for providing such highly skilled and informative drivers as well as lovely clean and well equipped cars.

Citrus did an excellent job. Holiday was well planned and well executed. Airline flying us home cancelled oir flight while we were out there, and they dealt with that very efficiently. Our driver Kannan was the best, loads of great information and a very safe driver. Would gladly use Citrus again, but would never fly jet again, terrible airline.
