We are very pleased to report that citrus holidays provided everything as described in their itenery which worked like clockwork. There was a slight hic up on our collection from New Delhi airport but their representative was contacted and immediately compensated us for the taxi fare we had to pay, without any argument. Although therewas much more car time than we imagined in travelling from place to place, and the traffic in India is rather chaotic, we enjoyed watching the sights of everyday life in India pass by and the skill of our driver and guide Sajeev made us feel quite safe in the back seat. His spoken English was also very good which made the long journeys interesting. The hotels varied in quality but overall they were good. The overnight boat journey in Aleppey was amazing. All the guides provided were very knowledgable and helpful. I would definitely use Citrus again.

Like many others I had read questionable review of Citrus but ended up booking a 14 night tailored trip to Cambodia, Vietnam and Thailand. Citrus were extremely helpful and accommodating in liaising when we were making the arrangements but seemed to go 'offline' after we paid. We became very concerned when a couple of parts of the itinerary sent to us were not quite correct - getting proof as opposed to words that all was OK was difficult (in fact it didn't happen until a couple of days before we travelled). In the event all these complicated transfers, tours etc worked perfectly. It was a very good trip - though it should be noted that accommodation is 3* rather than 5*. As others have said, the problem with Citrus is not the arrangements they make but their communication with clients.

We are in the midst of a Kerala tour, and it is magic, our driver Anthony is amazing, nothing is too much trouble and a really lovely person, the detail of the tour and accomodation are perfect, we are having the time of our lives would highly recomend the itinery has been prepared carefully and in depth 100% great Nick and Shirley Chandler.

Fantastic holiday- from start to finish. Our driver (Mr Azad) was reliable and really made us feel like valued customers. The hotels were all fantastic- clean comfortable with good tasty food. Marari Beach was our favourite. The extras to do at the hotels were great and we enjoyed the cookery experience at Marari Beach. We always had water available and the added things Mr Azad suggested were brilliant. We were sad to leave but have wonderful memories. A holiday to be recommended.

Just come back from the Golden Triangle with Citrus, first time i have traveled with them. All pick ups and transfers went smoothly would go with them again. The only downside was that we didn't get our tickets till less than a week before we left, would have preferred to have had them sooner. One hotel out of the four we stayed in was adequate but not 5* apart from that it was a wonderful holiday, the guides were knowledgeable and English speaking nothing was too much trouble.

We unfortunately were unable to travel today due to health reasons and Citrus without any fuss changed our flights at a very reasonable price and we are now hopefully able to enjoy a great holiday even though we will unfortunately miss our first 2 days. We have just returned from a wonderful holiday in Kerala. We first looked at citrus on travel zoo last May when we were looking to go to India for the first time. The price attracted us at first but the hotels and flight times did not. We wanted something a little bit special so Jacob arranged a better airline with good flight times and some deluxe hotels. It did come at a price but we understood why and happy to pay the extra. We were not disappointed. I’ve got to say we do normally holiday in Europe so this was a big holiday for us. It was the greatest holiday we have ever had. We broke our journey home and stayed in Dubai for two nights which was our choice. It was just taster but we are pleased we did. It was amazing. We have so many happy memories of the beautiful Indian people. I am sure we will use citrus again after this great experience.

Citrus are great at suggesting,arranging,booking then taking payment for your holiday but once that's done I had to chase them up for my travel documents, check and alter some of the details . One of the transfer details was not given to me until the day before departure. The company they use for transfers to and from airport Asian famous tours and travel were late by an hour collecting us from KL airport, they then dropped us off at the wrong hotel. They changed timings on the itinerary with hardly any notice and sent vehicles that were unknown to us. We were told that a lunch would be provided on the long coach journey from KL to Singapore but it wasn't. Lots of small aggravating stuff.

Just returned from the Golden Triangle tour of India, finishing with four days in Goa to chill! Everything from first being met at Delhi airport to finish was meticulously planned by Citrus. We had a fantastic driver, Ashtook ( not sure if correct spelling!) throughout & nothing was too much trouble. We had 3 English speaking guides but I must pay special thanks to Kumal who we had during our time in Jaipur who was fantastic. Our contact in India also arranged for us to visit an elephant sanctuary which was amazing . All the hotels were of a good standard, in fact the Delhi hotel was above any of our expectations. We cannot recommendation Citrus enough & will be using them again .

We are currently staying in Marari Beach Resort in Kerala having just completed a 10 day tour of southern India after a five day tour of the Golden Triangle. We had never heard about Citrus travel until we saw them advertise these tours on Travelzoo. Both tours have been superbly organised with everything going according to plan. The accommodation provided was perfectly adequate and in some cases exceptional. The food was always tasty and the service always with a smile. We upgraded our vehicle which turned out to be a good decision as we were fortunate to have Titus as our driver. Titus is a lovely, friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable person. One of us was unwell during the trip( nothing to do with Citrus travel, just an unfortunate bug) and Titus was extremely caring even though he was feeling under the weather himself. Titus gave us great insight of the Indian way of life and I hope we have made a friend for life. The Alleppey boat trip was so relaxing and the two boat men looked after us well and made lovely food. The upgrade to Marari Resort is worth every penny as it’s beautiful. We have no complaints about Citrus travel and would recommend them to our friends and family.

I have just returned from a Keralan Odyssey by Citrus which we found on Travelzoo, this was a low price 11 day tour . The price was precisely as advertised though a few upgrades were available. Our driver ArunSasy was always on time and was an excellent guide with good English: he cared for us, was flexible but suggested what not to and added a few extras. His driving was good and our up grade to a 4x4 was a good idea as some journey legs were long. Citrus found an excellent hotel in Munnar and homestay in Thekkady. The hotel "casino " in Cochin should be avoided if possible because of it's location on an industrial island - we were also unlucky with a v damp room . In retrospect we should have taken an upgrade for the houseboat: you can't rough it when one is playing at being a character from Agatha Christie. Our final stop in Poovar beach resort had a great pool and grounds but 30 min to a swimming beach : we should have picked an up grade again. It was in the itinerary but we didn't look. Overall I think that Citrus did very well given that it was £1100 for 11 nights HB incl airfare, the hotels all gave us a feel of Kerala rather than international blandness. Would book with them again but work out what was important enough to us to upgrade segments

Recently got back from an amazing 2 week tour of Southern India with Citrus Holidays, would recommend the trip to anyone wanting a different holiday. First of all we would like to thank our driver and guide Arun, he made the trip really special and went out of his way to help us find things. He always had a smile for us and nothing was too much trouble. The hotels were a very good standard the staff were very friendly and attentive. We enjoyed the food throughout, although we were curried out at the end of the tour there were alternative food choices. For us the tour was well planned with a good mix of city sightseeing with knowledgeable guides, particularly liked Mysore Palace and the walk around Kochi as well as visiting some amazing historic sites and viewing spots. Also had some relaxing time at Wayanad Wild in the forest which was so peaceful, the Allepey houseboat watching the world go by being waited on by a great crew and Poovar. The people we met were so warm and welcoming. We would have liked to have had time to look round some bazaars and spice markets but the hotels were a little out of the main centres and our itinerary did not give much time for this. The holiday overall was brilliant Thank you Citrus Holidays will use you again.

My husband and I just completed the 2 week Southern India tour with Citrus Holidays. We are giving the trip an overall 5* because the itinerary was certainly very well planned - a great variety of sightseeing & experiences were included, a lot was fitted into the 2 weeks and it was all executed perfectly by our personal chauffeur, Sree, who was always immaculate, as was his new car too, he was considerate, efficient, prompt, informative, helpful and an excellent & careful driver which certainly helped massively given that the driving methods in India are very different from UK!!! We decided we would never choose to explore India in either a rental car or using public transport - chauffeur driven by Sree is the ONLY way to do it order to enjoy the trip. From the back of his car we saw an immense, diverse and amazing country filled with both astounding and beautiful sights. If you haven't visited India but wish to then dont hesitate to book this trip but do ask for Sree as other drivers are not as steady as he is on the roads. We left India feeling fulfilled - India was everything and more than we imagined from watching 'Lion' and 'The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel'! The choice of hotels was very good. We were unlucky with our Evergreen Tours houseboat as other Citrus guests said they had good boats with communicative staff & modern fittings but ours (the Mayflower) was pretty dire (the bathroom was ancient, rusty, dirty, smelly and the staff spoke only pigeon English and didn't tell us anything about the plan or timings - hey ho, it was an experience nevertheless!) The only criticism of the itinerary would be the 7 hour drive which left us (and all the other Citrus guests in other cars) feeling exhausted & 'floaty' - it would be much better to offer to add an extra night stop en route for a few more GBPs. Wayanad Earth was a fantastic experience - the naturists are so knowledgeable and their 'save the planet' ethos is highly commendable. Isolodococo Resort would have been the perfect, relaxing end to our trip if they hadn't been hosting a large, rowdy Indian party for 2 of the 3 days we were there which resulted in security removing drunk revellers away from outside our room at 2am and broken glass in my foot from beside the pool... but that wasn't the fault of Citrus and our heritage room with outdoor wetroom was delightful. All in all a great trip. Next stop: the 2 week 'Thailand, Cambodia & Vietnam' trip with Citrus again! Yippee!

Good from start to finish. All questions and additions made outside of itinery - sorted and answered. Tour first class. Tour Guide superb. Driver excellent. Hotels of a good quality ( Remember this is Sri Lanka and a bit of tolerance about standards should be expected. ie a bit of painting and decorating. Food was very good quality but spicy. European food was ok.

I would recommend citrus holiday recently we booked Vietnam and Cambodia in January and had great time everything was booked perfect picking up from airport ,hotels and tour guide all was perfect would highly recommend this company

I have just returned from an excellent trip to Cambodia and Vietnam. The organisation of transport, hotels and destinations was very good. To reduce travelling time we flew between destinations in Cambodia as otherwise it would be a 7 hours bus journey on 2 consecutive days. Aĺl the guides were friendly, knowledgeable and professional especially Chamnan Soung in Sien Reap .I would recommend this tour and plan to book with Citrus in the future

We really enjoyed out 12 night tour of Cambodia and Vietnam in November. The booking process had been a bit confusing as we never seemed to speak to the same person twice, but all was sorted out regarding the flights.We had queries regarding the e-ticket so I e-mailed and was telephoned with the information I needed that set my mind at rest. There were also some discrepancies between the transfer document and the list of hotels, but again I spoke to Citrus and this was clarified and amended list e-mailed to me. This was the first time we had done a tour like this and were a bit apprehensive, but needn't have worried as everything ran smoothly. Our guides were excellent, the hotels were fine, our Halong Bay cruise was lovely and they catered for my wife's food allergy with no problem. My only complaint would be the amount of time we spent on coaches on two consecutive days. The coach trip from Siem Reap to Phnom Penh was 6-7 hours and we didn't arrive until 4.30. By the time we had checked into the hotel there was no time to visit any sights as they all closed at around 5 p.m. We only spent one night there and it seemed to be a bit pointless as there was no time to visit anything. Perhaps an adjustment in the itinerary would allow for 2 nights in Phnom Penh so that people could see the sights. We then spent another 6-7 hours on a coach travelling from Phnom Penh to Ho Chi Minh city/Saigon, which was tedious. The water puppet show in Hanoi was fantastic and our hotel there ideally situated in the Old Town. Overall we really enjoyed our trip and we would have given 5 stars if we hadn't spent what amounted to 2 days on coaches.

We have just completed a really enjoyable tour of Southern India with private car, booked with citrus holidays. We had an issue with the UK based operation before travelling, they had directed us (sent a link) to a third party e-visa replica site instead of the official Indian gov site which would have cost us way more than it should have. Naughty. However, the holiday was so good I can’t mark them down. Good hotels throughout and faultless organisation. Our driver (Krishnakumar) was first class. Attentive, friendly and professional. We opted to fly with Emirates as part of our deal which was also really nice.

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour of Southern India. The organisation was excellent and the hotels were of a very high standard. Our driver, Sreekanth Chandran, was punctual and always greeted us with a smile and his car was always immaculate. We felt extremely comfortable with him and he looked after us very well. His English was good and he kept us well informed. We highly recommend this tour.
