United Kingdom | 05 September 2024I originally had a quote in May 2024 where they would fit the battery internally to my house, My original review yesterday they tried to have assigned to another supplier. From Trustpilot (You reviewed Greener Energy Group, who believe your review actually belongs to another business. Here's the review we're talking about: 1 star They appeared to be a great company to start). i have now served them with a data protection notice regarding my sales enquiry. When I had the job requoted this week they indicated they could not fit the battery in the house as there are new guidelines ( not law) This is the standard which was in effect as or March 2024 prior to my first quote in May The regulation is PAS63100:2024 When I challenged this they then claimed it was guidance from MCS This is the reply from MCS "Thank you for your email. I can confirm MCS do not set the requirements for the location of a battery. MCS standards advise all legal requirements and manufacturer’s instructions are followed. The installer would also need to comply with British standards and the IET code of practice. MCS would not advise or dictate where the location of a battery would be" Their staff, in my opinion, gave misleading information and when i tried to make a complaint , i was again informed MCS advised batteries not to be fitted internal to the property. Then their manager called me and told me " I know the kind of person you are" , Strange as we had never spoken or met before. He got very abusive with me challenging the integrity of his staff. I eventually hung up. I have reported the matter to trading standards in Scotland due to the claims they have made on battery installation and attributing these to MCS and their finance company for Greener Energy. A London Fire Brigade report attributed circa 50% of battery fires to bad installation. In my own opinion i do not think i was treated professionally and with respect, and their attempt to have my review removed backs this up. Ask your supplier the operating temperature range for batteries (usually -10C to +55C) and ask them about performance degradation and lifetime degradation in low temperatures) Also the IP rating should be high for external use in high moisture environments. The original battery quoted in May has a specification of -10C to 55C. The updated battery has the specification in their reply . Sadly they could have given the clarity they have now provided in their response at a much earlier point , but chose not to do so in my opinion. They did have to remove my personal details from their reply as this breached both the data protection act and the rules of this site . I have now chosen another supplier who offer the same or better products at a lesser cost. For the new supplier I have personal references from family and friends. The lesson for me is that you need to get everything in writing from any supplier.

Hopefully our grant is approved and we can continue making progress to a warmer and cheaper home with Greener Energy.

For the instalation part,they showed up on time and on the dates agreed.the instalation was seamless. Super tidy and polite tradesman. I am telling everyone one I know,about this amazing company. If you are unsure,if you are worry about trusting a company to do yoir air source instalation.... please just call them, you will not regrete it.

Everyone went above and beyond, professional, punctual and actually delivered everything that was promised. The girls within the customer service team helped with all aspects of my solar and ASHP installation and were extremely helpful and a true credit to Greener Energy Group. The guys completing the install were absolutely amazing and kept all access hatches and floor uplifts clean & tidy. Very respectful to my property and even when complications arose....they thought every little detail through and came up with the perfect solutions. Needless to say I'm very impressed with their work ethics and values. Cannot recommend this company enough as service really is second to none.

United Kingdom | 02 August 2024I have inherited a air source hybrid system installed by Greener Energy. When I moved in I thought it best to have it serviced by those that installed it, what a mistake. They charged almost £300, for the first 'engineer' to arrive without his tools, state that he would would come back once he had recovered them, never to seen again. Greener Energy did not call to call to re-arrange I had to do that. Second Engineer arrives, not qualified on a hybrid system, although Greener Energy only admitted that later, he spent 20 minutes in our house before leaving; possibly the worlds shortest boiler service. Third 'engineer' comes back and apparently completes the service. Only thing is if you look at the Grants service book he has replaced nothing that should have been replaced. The installation itself is not correct with lines that should be in the housing hanging out, the concrete pad has more contours than the Himalayas, even the feet have not been put on correctly. Finally I made a warranty call to Grants, the manufacturer of the system, who told my heating engineer that they could not honour the bill due to an outstanding charge. This was incorrect and has been addressed by Greener Energy after I left my initial review. Since leaving my original review, Greener Energy have offered to refund the fee for the service, they also offered to re-visit the service. It would appear that if you get hold of the correct person issues will be addressed promptly.
