United Kingdom | 05 April 2025Im currently stuck in a contract with them. I feel utterly repulsed by them. I recomend you marry Beelzebub before consideirng these guys! We have contacted them 3x to discuss this. Im currently speaking to a lawyer as to desolving my Limited company establised in 1974 and starting again to get rid of them. Its THAT cost effective.

United Kingdom | 15 March 2025The company is the contractor for the Northern Ireland Housing Executive. In 2022, ENGIE changed its name to EQUANS. However, they largely work with the same team. I previously wrote a review on 14 July 2023, but feel it is necessary to provide further information: If you are a Housing Executive tenant, you have the right to make a Subject Access Request (SAR) to obtain your repair history free of charge. This repair history includes all contractor invoices, which you can review for any potential fraudulent billing. If the Housing Executive fails to investigate suspected fraud, you have several options for escalating the matter: 1. Contact the Northern Ireland Ombudsman 2. Report to the Police or Crimestoppers 3. Contact the Northern Ireland Audit Office (NIAO) 4. Contact the Independent Reporting Commission (IRC) 5. Report to Action Fraud

United Kingdom | 17 February 2025Avoid this company at all costs. They cut our electric off for a outstanding amount due to the previous tenant, and it took us 2 months to get it back on loosing us lots of money. Tried to phone and could only get through to customer services, apparently the reconnection department and the complaints department dont have a phone you have to contact them by email and of course they don't reply. They have admitted it was their mistake but have still sent us a £600 bill for disconnecting the electric. Please stay away from this company.

United Kingdom | 29 November 2024Be warned. Blend and Extend is a complete lie. Terrible contract with very high unit price, way over the market price, and cannot get out of contract so now we are paying the (very high) price! Stuck in the contract for another 13 months. Avoid at all costs!

Robert Sykes
United Kingdom | 19 November 2024I changed suppliers and gave Engie the required note only to be charged 10 days out of contract standing charges due to them not completing the paper work. Then send debt collectors when payment was 2 days over due. Avoid at all costs

United Kingdom | 09 November 2024Absolute thieves Will be pursuing a claim. Being ripped off every month . Started new business on hourly meter reading . We have reduced the usage massively. Turned off extra fridge freezers, Turned off extra hot water kettles limited to just 1 kettle but bills going higher . Not at all helpful when you call Tricked us into signing a contract with 6 k deposit!!!! If anyone knows of any financial ombudsman please provide details .

United Kingdom | 05 November 2024Engie and brokers are misleading businesses into a product called Blend & extend. I signed up to high unit rates on the promise that if the market rate dropped I could get my rates lowered. This is simply not the case and I have never been offered a lower rate. The customer service is so slow you get directed to the energy ombudsman after 8 weeks. Both of my open complaints have taken over 8 weeks and are still not resolved.

United Kingdom | 22 October 2024DO NOT use this company they have zero tolerance of any businesses situation we owe Septembers bill ..it is 21 October they are seeking a warrant to disconnect we are an old fashioned business who use cheques from a building society the last one for August was issued 8th October The broker they used to recruit us should have told them this and especially is such hard times for hospitality businesses THEY ARE BRUTAL Cant give a Zero but would....Never known such a nasty intollerant company :(:( :(

United Kingdom | 11 October 2024If we could give this Company a Zero star rating we would. Engie are completely and totally hopeless and do not seem to have the staff or capabilities to deal with requests in a timely way. We were originally quoted 40 days for them to process a Change of Tenancy which is appallingly slow, and we have since been advised that "we are experiencing some system issues when processing some of our non-half hourly meters, which includes your meter and we do not have a timescale as to when this issue will be resolved! This unacceptable delay is preventing the property being tenanted and is therefore costing the premises owner thousands of pounds in lost rent. We raised this with their Complaints Department on 18th September 2024 but there has been no resolution. I have been in contact with Engie since 30th August 2024 and in their latest communication with us dated 8th October 2024 they stated: we are experiencing some system issues when processing some of our non-half hourly meters, which includes your meter and we do not have a timescale as to when this issue will be resolved!!

United Kingdom | 27 September 2024The blend and extend contract was sold to me as we could lower the rates to the current prices if they were to ever go down. The rates they offer are not the current market price and then they want you to sign up for an extra 3 years. I was miss sold this contract and am now paying the price.

United Kingdom | 29 August 2024They're most useless energy supplier in the UK, customer service terrible all about ripping off the customer .I don't recommend it to anyone

Anita
United Kingdom | 23 August 2024I took over a commercial property in February this year and I've chased and chased for a contract for months, in the end it took to changing suppliers in order to get anywhere. They even put in writing that they DO NOT supply to me. They are now charging £4/day standing charge and emergency rates, demanding payment in 2 weeks. Not one person is being helpful

United Kingdom | 23 August 2024Engie shut us off without warning because of the last Companies debt. A Engie badged employee lied to the facility manger of the building saying he came to read the meter (we expected this reading so as to start our contract) and instead removed the fuses and left us in the dark. Disconnection notice was sent to the last liquidated company. Apparently up to 60 days to reinstall as they now say we should have already signed up with them despite the catch22 that they need a meter read. Never consider Engie as they are not the cheapest supplier and do not care one bit about any loss of business/goods/livelihoods. Now have to waste time with Ofgem to get compensation. This blessed country protects energy "suppliers" as half of them would have been litigated out of existence by now.
