Went into one of my local stores in Bolton to get a price for some gold jewellery that we had inherited. Got a handwritten 'quote' on a scrap of paper that was apparently valid for a week. Went away to speak to the rest of the family and took the jewellery back in a few days later (within a week though). Dealt with a different employee who offered me £1k less and advised that no 'quotes' are ever valid for more than a day. When I threatened to leave with the items I was offered the same price as I'd been offered originally! By this point I had literally no faith that what I was being offered was a fair price so I took the items elsewhere. Very poor customer service. Really unprofessional. Avoid at all costs in my opinion.

I visited the Market Street branch in Leeds looking to sell a gold item. The service was excellent. Jack offered me a great price. He was attentive and friendly and went through the necessary information efficiently. The money was transferred immediately after the usual checks were completed. A great experience.

Marie and her team have always been kind and professional even before that branch was H&T not to mention Noam became a good friend. Without a doubt more than just your pawnbroking branch but great people.

Never used a pawnbroker service before so wasn’t sure what to expect. Really easy and friendly - everything explained clearly. I’d got an online quote in the morning, but was offered 200 less in the shop. The shop queried this with valuers and got me the extra 200.

I visited a H&T pawn shop on Mare Street in London to get a valuation for my unwanted jewelry. I was informed that the price for gold was £15 per gram, but I was already aware that the market rate was £23 per gram. Additionally, I was told that the previous offers I received from legitimate gold dealers were not genuine. I was taken aback to discover their tactics were quite demeaning and unprofessional, seemingly aimed at pocketing extra money. Be vigilant when trying to sell unwanted gold

The staff in Worksop are so more than employees at H and T they are people who care about customers, staff who go above and beyond to help customers like my self. visited a store in Camden today just wanted to see what I would be offered for my 9ct gold bracelet. baring in mind I know how they price gold by the ounce and how they get to the offer, I should have been offered at least 800 remember this is over a ounce of gold .so please tell me why she try to tell me only 500 ,clearly she intended to pocket some of the money so be very careful when going in this shop .do your homework first or you might find yourself being conned disgraceful behaviour.

I may have left a review already, honestly thought these pawnbrokers are not like others that are trained just to be money grabbers and dont care at all about customers circumstances.. They actually care and want to help you if your struggling.. they will look at all options to help rather than rub their hands when your struggling and cant keep up payments. Its just nice to know that in a dog eat dog world, that there are still some nice people

Visited H&T in Preston today to sell some gold rings. I had never sold anything at a pawnshop before so didn’t know how it would go. There are a few pawnbrokers within a small area of each other in Preston but particularly picked H&T as the shop looks more professional and welcoming from outside in my opinion. I was dealt with quickly and professionally by staff especially Charlie. The money was deposited straight to my bank account which was excellent. I was right to pick H &T and will definitely recommend them and go back to them if I want to sell anything else. Thank you.
