United States | 21 August 2014I rented a phone for 7 weeks while in Israel. Phone connections was always reliable and clear, and the bill came just as expected, with no surprises.

United States | 21 August 2014We needed phones for a trip to Europe and the Mid-East. Amigo set us up with one phone with 2 SIM cards and easy instructions as to how to activate the appropriate SIM card. Phone came in a handy pouch with charger and necessary adapters Pricing was great too

United States | 15 August 2014the folks at the office are great to work with but they didn't tell me that I'd be charged for shipping the phone $10 each way. It wasn't even in the confirmation that they sent out. the equipment struggled to grab a cellular service in St Martin but i'm not sure that it is the phone's fault.

United States | 14 August 2014Overall a very bad experience. Phone was too small to hold comfortably, too difficult to adjust (sound, etc.). At full volume, very difficult to hear. Calls needed to be placed again and again to get the call to connect. Texts were difficult to access and were like reading hieroglyphics. Incoming calls often went straight to voice mail without ringing. The sound quality was poor, often like being under water. We returned home and unlocked our smart phones almost immediately. We did not contact customer service so I cannot comment on that. We will not rent Stupid phones again, not from your company or any other. This was a waste of good money!

United States | 09 August 2014I have always rented from Amigo and recommended it to others going to Israel. However, for the first 24 hours the phone would not work. Even took it to a phone sore in airport. Took sim card in and out, tec. Finally, met a techie who did something and then it worked. Called number on paper that Amigo sent with phone and he told me he only repairs televisions. Called 2x to make sure I had right number. Very disappointed to think I would not have a phone for two weeks I was in Israel.

United States | 08 August 2014Daughter sent me the link, went on web site, went to local store, did easy transaction with friendly merchant (Cohen's Judica in Boca Raton FL), put phone, charger, and adapter plug for Israel in bag and off I went. Phone was simple to use, worked every time, and needed one charge for 10 days. Amazing price and high value performance. Thanks!

United States | 07 August 2014I ordered a usb wifi stick to take to Israel. It was good at first but then it slowed down and by the end of my five it was incredibly, frustratingly slow. The sim card is awesome. I love being able to use my own phone.

United States | 07 August 2014I arrived in Israel on Sunday morning and the phone did not work. I couldn't get it to work until I called New York on Monday which because of the time difference was late Monday in Israel. I have not had this problem when I rented an Amigo phone before. Once it was activated, it worked fine.

United States | 07 August 2014Very helpful to get in foreign countries with a ready phone with unlimited data. You can use your phone as GPS and it works perfect.

United States | 07 August 2014There was initially a problem picking up the phone at Westside Judaica, because the broker was not available at the time they had listed. This wasn't really amigo's fault, and their customer service immediately solved the problem by overnight shipping the phone at no extra charge. They were super polite and apologetic, and I was thankful for their quick assistance. I wouldn't ever suggest picking up the phone at West side Judaica, however. The phone itself worked great and the plan was very affordable. I would use them again for any trip to Israel.

Canada | 04 August 2014Service, from beginning to end was consistently excellent. Response times were great - with Josh responding to all emails within minutes. I ordered 2 phones and one sim card. All totally smooth. Pick up and return in Toronto was also seemless. Would highly recomment the service.

United States | 29 July 2014Amigo has no after hours support. Our departure from Israel was delayed due to the rocketing. Amigo had sent me an email notice saying they thought my trip was ending and that I should contact them if needed. I immediately began calling them leaving urgent messages requesting an extension of service (the reply link in their email bounced repeatedly) and continued to call until the phone was shut off - while I was in a bomb shelter in Ben Gurion Airport. I could not reach the group leader to see if my wife and son were with her. Not a pleasant experience. If you are renting a phone abroad, I strongly suggest you do so with a company that can help you evenings and weekends if necessary.

United States | 28 July 2014I recently traveled to Israel to meet my son and his family. I knew it would be expensive to use my IPhone over there and my son would have to purchase a SIM card. Instead, at the last minute I ordered 3 Amigo phones so we could all easily communicate and if necessary, get back in touch with the states. The customer service staff were wonderful in terms of explaining the options and making cost effective recommendations and the phones arrived in no time. The instructions on usage were simple and clear...couldn't have been any easier. I've never used them in other parts of the world but I would definitely rent from them again in the future.

United States | 25 July 2014We didn't end up using the phone at all. We borrowed a basic "dumb" cell phone for our trip, which was enough. I thought the Amigo phone would be a good second phone. But I'm not good with technology, and had difficulty following the instructions. I could have called the support help line, but in the end it wasn't worth it...Didn't really need all the features. But delivery and return procedure were smooth, and the phone and accessories looked brand new.
