"Our selling strategy is one of the most unique forms of marketing" Oh pleease! Listen to yourselves! We wasted an hour of our valuable time in Hoi An - being sweet talked by the double glazing salesman on a moped. Stupidly we went to the office with the scratch card, cut a long story short we fortunately just wasted an hour. If you bothered to qualify your leads you'd have found out that these just aren't our types of holidays. If we'd have visited the property it would have taken all afternoon. We got a restaurant voucher but didn't use it as we wanted to forget the experience.

Me and my wife visited Bali a couple of weeks ago and went to one of their presentations in their office near Seminyak. It was well presented by the salesperson Jay and his manager Ritchie. We were a bit sceptical at first about signing up on the day but the benefits that the membership offers were very appealing to us. We also knew the membership is much more expensive if you sign up in the UK. We decided to purchase and as a bonus received a few nights in their Karma Kandara resort whilst we were there which was a lovely 5 star experience. Since we have returned to London, my wife has already booked us a Caribbean cruise for pretty much half price and we have trips booked to stay at their resorts in Tuscany and Scilly Isles. Booking was straightforward and easy so can't really fault it so far. Happy campers.

Was offered a very cheap holiday at Hoi An. $149 AUD for 7 nights, pay $49 deposit and pay the other $100 when you book your dates within 3 months, for any time in the next 12 months. Trying to book for February 2025, I'm told I can only do that from June-July 2024. This is outside the 3 month window but when I enquire if the deal would still be valid I'm told that I have to book in 3 months. So Karma is not honouring the deal it offered and I want my deposit back. Judging by the experiences detailed here I am not going to hold my breath. Updated following response: Nice try - you agree with the 12 month limit on the voucher but ignore the 3 month booking window and the point i have made. Please tell me what you think i will find in the terms and conditions that changes this situation?

Holiday in Vietnam, and like others were approached and given vouchers to open and lo and behold we are winners. 1hrs of our time yadayada. The sale went on and on. We asked to see terms and conditions and told them we are concerned when an organisation says that they only have their full package for those that sign up on the spot and to wait for the full presentation to finish, and to visit the resort. We said we don't make decisions on investments on the spot. Backed out and he kept saying that it's marketing and they have 80,000 people signed up etc. Well all that is saying is your marketing is successful as it's so aggressive. They "love bomb" you. Of course dropped back off well away from where we were picked from the street, in 33C heat to try and get back to our hotel before checkout at 12. Beware. Don't ever make decisions on the spot and these people appear to prey on those that do, at least to us.

Hoi An karma . Firstly and foremost we did not sign up for anything. Sam the marketing manager was up front from the start . Stated if it wasn’t for your taste . You can leave anytime. Further Joseph was on the same page . From start to finish . As I said we all need too eat,and make a living Lastly If you joined it . It didn’t join you .. You can say No ! It’s not for me .

Going to Bali for major dental work since I can't afford it here in Perth, got some bad news regarding a beloved pet while away, so on our last day tried to distract ourselves with meal at the beach, get asked if we speak english, we assuming they may need assistance with something so beging to engage. hands us winning ticket make a big fuss like it's super rare, we are told we are lucky, 1st win for the day, all we have to do is listen to a presentation for 1 hour, just 45 mins away to their office, dinner and drinks provided, and a taxi ride back ...sounded great. To great...we should have known, so hoped on the scooter and went for a 35min trip. after a whole hour of torture being shown stunning resorts only millionaires could ever consider, we finally see everyone else with winning cards, discussing thousands, so we decide to leave with our gift, the catch is, we can't use the voucher in Bali, and the dinner we won was 65mins away and not on the beach as we had planned to spend our last night Plus we had to walk 1.4Hrs back to where we were originally picked up from. This is absolutely cruel marketing, and why target people holidaying in a 3rd world country? They clearly don't have the thousands for you membership.

What the sales people presented to us was not the entire truth! Luckily we realised this before any money changed hands. They tried to push us to make a snap decision then and there without giving us time for the info to sink in and do research (guess this is why, as what you can read about this company online is shocking) if we didnt decide on the spot then the price goes up! Apparently they “have” to do it like this or it would be unfair on all of the people who previously joined this way otherwise! They said we would be given the "best" rooms as members in every hotel - not true all rooms are the same. They told us we could use the membership to get into their hotel in London - not true apparently this one is off limits! They assured us that they were not timeshare, a very quick Google search confirmed this was not true. They said that the Cotswalds hotel was their lowest grade hotel as they had only just bought it and that any other hotel would be far better - not true when talking to others and looking at tripadvisor they all look pretty standard. There were also some hidden fees that they failed to mention. It seems that they need to include such untruths in order for the membership to look desirable. These were just a few things we caught them out on. Whole experience just left a bad taste in our mouths. Very slimy and distasteful. Would encourage everyone to do their research and match up what the salesperson says to the truth before signing on the dotted line.

Like other reviewers, we were approached while on holiday with the promise of a "prize" of free accommodation in return for taking part in "an hour presentation". We knew of people who had actually got a decent stay out of this type of thing even if they don't buy, so we thought it was worth a listen. The presentation turned into over 2 hours of them carefully avoiding the cost. When they finally revealed the cost we said no - but the promised voucher has never arrived. Any attempts to raise it with their call centre simply generates a one-line response asking for irrelevant information - we're not even sure we're talking to a human. If approached by these people while on holiday - avoid!

This is going to be a long one, so settle in guys. "Timeshare" seems to be a dirty word, but as owners through another company, we were fully aware of what we were in for when the beautiful Sue and Hannah pulled up on their bike with scratch cards. Holiday ownership requires a bit of a gimmick to lure customers in...no one goes looking to spend 10k+ in a day, but if you can sit through an hour or two meeting with the incentive of a free massage or accommodation, you just might see the benefits. Because we were owners, there was no sales pitch, they explained that when our current ownership is paid off, there's the potential to exchange to Karma ownership.....but that's it. We sat and chatted to the larger than life Pete and Martin for our allocated hour, then they sent us off to get our massage at the beautiful Karma Song. This is how our time in Vietnam changed rapidly. We had unfortunately booked a hotel in a very undesirable part of Da Nang, and upon seeing Karma Song, we instantly decided to forfeit our other accommodation and book Karma.....except that we couldn't. So we headed back to the office to try to get someone to help us book, and there we met the gorgeous Sam, the marketing manager. While Sam was unable to book us in at Karma on such short notice, he gave up half an hour of his own time to help us book accom in another beautiful resort, not affiliated with Karma in any way. While we didn't buy into the Karma group this time, I can not tell you the gratitude we have for whatever karma sent us their way....it literally turned our holiday from "meh" to "when can we book our next trip" in a few short hours.

The whole thing is a sales stunt. They lure you in with promises of free meals and free holidays you supposedly 'win' . You will never see that holiday .. they just use it to make you sit through their speil. They want you to buy a membership which supposidedly buys you discounted accommodation. I have heard members can't get accommodation because the company uses the rooms to snag more clients with discounted holidays. Just another scam. In response to your response . We have already endured hours of your presentation with the promise of a free holiday which never came. Why on earth would we subject ourselves to that again?

We received an email inviting us to stay at Karma Song Hoai in Vietnam for $150 (AUD) for 7 nights which we decided to book. The hotel itself is nice, the service is good and breakfast is included. In order to get the deal we were required to attend a 1 hour presentation (sales pitch) for their membership, the presentation was 2 hours, not 1 hour as stated. The breakdown of the costs was $2K (AUD) management fee per year and $38K (AUD) “joining fee” for a 25 year membership. You’re required to pay 10% of the joining fee on the spot or you won’t get the same deal later, the rest of the fee needs to be in the next 12 months. I understand this is how the company makes its money but to pay that amount in a year simply isn’t feasible for most people. We were also told at the end of the presentation all we’d have to do is say yes or no and they’d respect our decision, we’d been very up front that we’re getting married in a few months so there is no way we’re in a financial position to fork out that sort of money, but at the end Jason the manager kept trying to push us to join. Their was also meant to be a promotional included for attending the presentation which we never received.

We stayed in Bali , one promoter guy came to us and give us a scratch card , my wife won an IPhone or I watch or 1 week holiday etc. I was thinking it's a scam straight, after the guy make us sure it is free and we are the winners in this month , he took us in a taxi and take to Karma group office , you have fill a form with your details and do a meeting for atleast 1 hour , and after you can have your gift. Its full of poo don't fall for it . Obviously she won 1 week holiday , and it's not free at all you have to pay on side a lot of things. We spent 4 hours until I stand up from the table.... Don't fall for it ! It's a waste of time !

We have been mis-sold and forced into buying the membership a few hours ago after being taken into Taxi in a kidnap style fashion from the street of Kuta where the representative/actor pretended we won a big prize from the scratch card (we later found it was part of scam and every couple there had the same prize). We where in the Office for three ours with 2 small children! Not at any stage we were told that we have been taken to a sales office and going to sales office was not out of our own free will. Long story short, we were then pushed by hard sales tactic and weren't allowed to sleep through our decision so we can decide on our own free will, even after asking numerous times. After forced into buying the membership, when we returned to our villa, we realized that we have got scammed! We got vouchers for a Supermarket 45 min from our hotel, we will not be able to use these..

It was that bad that I had to shout "STOP" half way through journey! Not at any stage we were told that we have been taken to a sales office and going to sales office was not out of our own free will. Long story short, we were then pushed by hard sales tactic and weren't allowed to sleep through our decision so we can decide on our own free will, even after asking numerous times. After forced into buying the membership, when we returned to our villa, we realized that we have got scammed as we were only shown Karma Kandara on photos and was told all properties are same but other properties are just ordinary and reviews are below average. Asking for refund of deposit, I was told the senior manager is not in office (standard response). Don't pay a penny to these people else it will be really hard to get it back from them!
