The alarm arrived swiftly and was easy to set up and test. I know mum is safe for a year as I’ve paid a one off fee. It may be that I upgrade to a system she can take out and about with her but for now this seems ok tho I’ve only had it under a week.

United Kingdom | 12 February 2025A few things about the watch and Family Monitoring package that are not on the website or are not easy to find. The watch only allows 3 contacts despite this not being mentioned anywhere – the pendant doesn’t seem to have a limit. The watch uses mobile phone signals (which is stated). If these are not deemed to be sufficient the watch will constantly disconnect and reconnect which will drain the battery and you may get as little as 24 hours per charge. Apparently there is no way to fix this (at least I was not informed of any). In the instructions it states ‘you acknowledge in purchasing this type of equipment that mobile phone signal can be unreliable, and signal quality can vary dramatically from time to time, even in the same location’. Standard get out clause rather than trying to provide a solution. Full information on the issues this will cause would be an improvement. The watch strap supplied is not easy for arthritic fingers to open and close. But rather than offering the watch with a choice of straps you will be charged extra to purchase a magnetic one – which you then have to try and attach yourself or wait until someone can come and do it for you. There are quite a few comments on the reviews concerning the strap and you would have thought that ‘the leading provider of personal alarms within the UK’ would have taken some notice by now and done something about this. The watch and the pendant ‘have their own apps and their own features’ despite being listed on the same page and for the same price with the same ‘key info’ (I can't add a link but it is basically personalalarms dot org slash products slash suresafego). You have to go through both instruction manuals thoroughly to work this out. A few suggestions to Suresafe (although having read many reviews I’ll be surprised if they are acted upon): - create a proper comparison table of your products to include all limitations and not just the good points - rewrite your instruction manuals so that they are all in the same format, contain ALL relevant information (positive and negative) and therefore are easily readable and comparable - train your staff to provide full and useful replies to email queries rather than the short ones that I have received over the last week or so (which just resulted in frustration and having to ask more questions in order to get the full picture) - offer a choice of straps as standard and at no extra cost. Your customers are generally elderly and lack dexterity. You may be wondering why we still have this watch. Mum didn’t want a pendant and didn’t want to talk to strangers which is why we ended up with this. And when compared to other similar products it is much cheaper and doesn’t rely on the wearer also having a smart phone – but you get what you pay for. Only time will tell if it works in an emergency.

Whilst I haven't needed to be in touch with them since, their customer service has been excellent with helpful email reminders to re charge the watch and a gentle reminder that they are there should we need them. Peace of mind and thrilled all round.

The alarm came the next day and after charging up the pendant the rest was easy, I had a few false alarms by accidently setting it off. the response was excellent. under 2 minutes. answered by lovely kind people. I would highly recommend Suresafe Alarms. I bought so my daughters would not worry about me falling.
