We had stayed in two properties on holiday which had John Ryan by Design beds. We decided when looking for a new mattress to phone the company to order one. The lady at John Ryan was really helpful and we went ahead with our order, she did explain that delivery would be about 4 weeks. We did receive our mattress earlier than stated, and the delivery was on time, with the delivery men being helpful and informative. We have now had the mattress 2 months and couldn’t be happier with our purchase. Well worth the money.

Excellent service and delivery. Ordered sprung base and artisan bespoke mattress. Sprung base softened the feel of the mattress. Artisan bespoke is the firmest mattress but it is no way overly firm. Only been a few weeks but everything seems fine

After buying an Emma mattress that was just the worst thing ever despite the fabulous reviews I started the intense search for a real and decent mattress. I came across John Ryan. Thank goodness!!! We have had our mattress just over a month now, we bought an Artisan Natural half medium and half firm spring tension in king size. The customer service from start to finish was great. Everyone I spoke to was helpful and concerned that my choice was the right one for my husband and myself. Ordering was easy and the company followed up by a confirmation telephone call. Delivery was amazing, the mattress came earlier than the expected delivery date, the communication by the couriers was brilliant. The mattress was delivered as per their notification, there was plenty of communication between them and us. They quickly took the mattress upstairs, we recycled the packaging, though they were quite prepared to take it away, and they were on to another delivery after us. The mattress is brilliant, both my husband and myself sleep really well and it has been the best mattress we have had in many years of marriage. Just like Goldilocks and the Three Bears - just right. Great support and also medium amount of softness above. We don’t need a topper as it is very cosy. I would certainly recommend them and bought without trying was a doddle with their expertise. Great company to deal with. The guidance regarding the type of mattress needed was on their informative website but also over the phone. As someone with back problems, I opted for the Origins Pocket 1500 King Size Mattress. I could have gone for the firmer mattress, but as a side sleeper, I decided on the Origins Pocket 1500. I have now been sleeping on it for over 60 days, and I have to admit, the mattress is amazing. It is firm enough for my weight and soft enough in the upper layers for me to sink into just enough to support me. I have had the best night's sleep since I received it and never wake with a sore back. That is a huge thing for a long-term sufferer of pain in the morning. Then add the fact that they had a Grade B with a 20% discount, and when it arrived, it was immaculate. It had never been removed from its original packaging. The Home Delivery Team "Keen and Able" were spot on, courteous and happy in their work too. My personal experience mirrors many others regarding this company. It is more than I would generally pay for a mattress but to be honest, £576 for a beautifully made mattress is a small price to pay for the best sleep I have had in years. Long may it last. The service from Ian at John Ryan felt personalised and was first class. Ian answered my numerous questions patiently without referring me to an online Q&A. The advice on which would be the most suitable mattress for myself and my husband was practical no nonsense. It was reassuring to receive follow up calls 'after' the order had been placed. Delivery of the mattress was prompt and very well co-ordinated. We both love the mattress for the quality and comfort and natural materials. Great product. Wish I had found them earlier - spent much time and money on inferior beds. Other firms seem to spend all their money on advertising and not on the actual product - the previous one I got was the Which best buy, thinking I could trust them, but oh no. Gawd knows how they rig the ratings, but they must do. My son recommended these to me - seems the only thing you can trust nowadays. The bed I have is the basic one - medium. It conforms well to my body shape (podgy, with wide shoulders). No more pain in the mornings (I have disc problems) and I sleep well.
