We’ve just booked to do two private guided tours via Citrus Holidays which involve quite a few flights. Travel agent Alex, has worked hard to find direct flights to match our dates (instead of the non-direct flights which were being offered as part of the package). He has managed to find us direct flights at the best prices to make our journey time shorter and less tiring or stressful and he’s been very patient given my various date & itinerary changes too! He’s also managed to arrange, especially for me, a tour of my late mother’s childhood school in India ...she died very recently and l miss her terribly so I’m VERY excited about this visit. Booking faraway holidays to new countries which will take us out of our usual comfort zones is quite nerve-wracking but Alex has been very reassuring that we will have the most wonderful time (and with some special surprise treats too apparently). He’s been very helpful and I do hope he’s right - I will write another review after we return!

The tour is not all you are led to believe . Poor accommodation , not always the hotels as advertised . Uncomfortable mini bus , long extended transfers . Sometimes in unroadworthy vehicles . Local guides that do not stick to the itinerary . Time wasted in carpet , spice , shops. No booking in the Goa hotel. I travel frequently and will never use this company again. Still waiting for a response from my 3 emails , first one sent on 5th Nov . Simply not good enough !

We had an absolute nightmare with Citrus holidays. Even though I made it very clear how my husbands name should be inoutted on flight tickets they inoutted his name WRONG! when I raised it they tried to tell me it wouldn't be a problem that his name on the tickets didn't match his passport?! When I pushed them after several phone calls they agreed to correct it. Unfortunately by that point the changes meant I couldn't get a seat next to my husband on a very long flight... not a great start to the holiday. The rest of the holiday was mixed with some really amazing parts and some not so good. Our holiday was a tour of Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam. Best bits were some of the hotels (especially Hanoi) and our tour guide whilst in Siem Reap. Worst bits were plentiful... you don't always get the hotels as advertised on the website and the quality of hotels is very variable. The Hanoi hotel was one of the nicest we have ever stayed in, but others were some of the worst we have stayed in. Also a lot of the time the tours and transfers did not match what we paid for. E.g. In Hanoi they didn't take us to half of the monuments that were specified in our itinerary and some transfers were as a group when they should have been private. Overall the price was good for what we got but don't expect a luxury holiday or to even get what was advertised. I won't be booking with Citrus holidays again because it just isn't worth the hassle and stress they caused throughout the whole holiday.

Very helpful in booking extra trips on our tour

recently went to Sri Lanka with Citrus Holidays - a little apprehensive to begin with because of a couple of bad reviews but honestly I dont know why as we have had a holiday of a lifetime. The staff were helpful and the booking was easy. Our Sri Lankan driver/host Bobby was most helpful and courteous throughout the duration. The accommodation on the whole was fantastic some better than others but none to complain about. The trips lived up to expectation. Well done Citrus Holidays I would not hesitate to use you again or to recommend you.

Smooth booking - even internationally. I called their office in the UK from Canada and dealt with a very friendly agent who put in a lot of work to find me flights with the deal that matched my budget.

It has to be said that the organised trips , transfers, flights etc. Were excellent.. Unfortunately we lost one day completely due to flight cancellations due to storms or maybe pilot strike. This was obviously nothing to do with Citrus but it did take the edge of what would have been an exceptional holiday. There was a slight error on the itinerary with baggage allowance which cost us a few pesos and due to the flight cancellations we had to book an extra night in a hotel.

Excellent experience in Kerala. From the moment we arrived at Kochin airport, Antony our driver and guide made sure we were where and when we had to be. He made sure we had the best seats at shows and on trips, ensured we got supplies, got us to barbers and hunted out good eating places as well as Ayurvedic massages. A magnificent holiday destination, vibrant with colour and life and very friendly welcoming people. I’m glad I chose Citrus Holidays!

I would like to thank Citrus for organizing a fabulous trip to Vietnam. The private transportation and guides provided during our tour was exceptional. The guides were amazing, very professional, knowledgeable and ensured everything went like clockwork. I did feel pressurised to prearrange excursion and so feel i should comment on them. I personally would not recommend doing city tours as you can easily find you way around both Hoi Chi Min and Hanoi. Entrance to places of interest are reasonable priced. My partner enjoyed the Chu Chu tunnels but I felt to exhausted to go the day after our flight. Without exception the best excursion was Harlong Bay Cruise so highly recommend adding this to your itinery. If possible pre-organise late checkouts from hotels. We had late flights so we paid extra for late check in all our hotels. Our Hanoi hotek could not accommodate us and we had to check out noon for a up 7pm pick up for airport. We booked into the hotel next door which enabled us to enjoy the day and shower before a long flight home. I would choose Citrus again but rather than pay for some of the pre arranged excursion I would rather have the option for late check out.
